  1. Feel free to DM me for thoughts and questions. I'm making this something of a rush job so results can come out and I can go to sleep.
  2. -
  3. Darg wins.
  4.
  5. This was extremely close. Both debaters had a lot of similarities in my eyes, such as:
  6.
  7. - Similar team comp in skilled striker (shang/garou) strong guy with sword (Taiyo/Cid) and weird guy (Choso, Zealot).
  8.
  9. - Similar win cons I.E. My Weird Guy hits your team at range, at least one of them dies or is weakened, from there my team wins a melee fight.
  10.
  11. - Similar mistakes I.E. both accusing the other of hypocrisy while both are enaging in it themselves. I don't know what else to call Ama going "Darg is using a scaling chain" then posting a 2K character JJK scaling chain, or Darg consistently trying to Ama's team into perfect like X ms boxes while going "trust me bro" about Cid's physicals.
  12.
  13. - Every character here felt very well stat posted, something both debaters did exceptionally well. Both constantly seemed to have an answer for any point brought up by the other.
  14.
  15. Ultimately, I think Amasian wins the ranged fight but loses the melee fight. My thoughts here are essentially:
  16.
  17. - Zealot needs to disengage, enter stealth, set up after images, then attack with an attack that isn't uncouterable. At any point in that time, if he fails, everything falls apart.
  18.
  19. - Choso, meanwhile, just has a simple "point + shoot" going for him that I think is ultimately very dangerous to everyone here but Cid.
  20.
  21. - Amasian calls this out well when he points out that Zealot cannot just immediately disengage, a point I generally agree on.
  22. From here, it's going to a more melee based fight, where Darg has to essentially 3v2. However, ultimately, I kind of think this is not an impossible needle to thread.
  23.
  24. - Cid seems at least as fast if not faster, is relevantly durable, very skilled, has a dangerous sword. Garou is just generally well rounded; he's not the star of the round here or anything, but nor does he have any obvious weaknesses that can be exploited. He may not be as fast or as physically impressive or as skilled as Shang, but he certainly seems able to hold his own within this range.
  25.
  26. - Shang and Taiyo are both incredible picks in melee, and I generally buy the arguments for them from Amasian more than I do from Darg. Choso, I think stops being as effective once he's landed one enemy out here. In melee he always seems to be doing worse against Yuji, taking many hits he can't afford to here. He's also both the physically weakest and least skilled to my knowledge.
  27.
  28. What it's easy for me to imagine happening is Zealot goes down to Choso, then Shang/Taiyo/Choso engage Cid/Garou in melee. Cid has 10ms reactions, sonic or close striking, wall busting physicals of some sort, notable skill, and a sword that reacts to his thoughts and can AoE. Garou can function long enough to support him as long as need be.
  29. Ultimately, I think Cid can strike fast enough that Shang/Choso/Taiyo will start struggling to keep up, and with Garou running support with his crackhead endurance, i just dont' see Shang/Choso/Taiyo pulling ahead even if they do land the first kill.
  30.
  31. GG's to both debaters.
