↳ amiel's life was already planned eversince she was born. her father is a british royalty who married a korean woman. her mother used to be this poor lady living in yongin, korea but his father fell in love w/ her mother when he visited the country and the rest was history. born and raised in cambridge, amiel was trained to be this elegant and sophisticated lady. it was already decided. she will be their kingdom's future ruler. whenever her parents and coaches are around, amiel would do her best to please them even though deep inside, her mind is already somewhere else in the world. when she was six years old, a cirque visited their palace to show a spectacular performance. amiel was amazed by the vibrancy and she was also fascinated by the smiles plastered on the performers' faces. at a very young age, she felt a pang on her chest for she realized that she had never smiled like that before-- with a strict and wicked mother, a busy father, and a life that she didn't wish for-- yes, indeed, she never smiled like that before. as the performance finished, amiel tried to sneak out and had bumped into the youngest member of the cirque, sabino soames. eversince then, amiel would always sneak out to meet sabino in a branch of the oldest tree near their palace just to play with him. the two became great friends and bino had influenced amiel in lots of aspects. with bino, amiel learned lots of things and she was also able to express all the thoughts and weirdness that she was just holding back before. but then, a cruel thing happened. bino died from a disease and amiel wasn't even given a chance to visit his funeral. her mother was furious when she found out that amiel was sneaking out of the palace and didn't allowed her to leave the palace ever again. amiel felt betrayed by her own mother but she couldn't do anything about it. again, she is trapped in the life she doesn't want to live and her escape was nowhere to be found now because bino is already gone. a year later, amiel's younger sister was born (younger by 7 years) and that somehow made her happy once again. most of the times, the two would be mischievous. they would stress the maids out by running around the palace or by climbing to the roof, making the whole place a mess, and her mother would always be mad about it while amiel would just take the blame to avoid her sister from getting punishments. then lessons from different royal coaches/teachers will also take place everyday just to prepare her for being the future ruler. then in her free time, it's either she is in the library or she's sitting in one of the tree branches in their garden. her life was pretty much like this everyday but it stopped when she entered the university.

PERSONALITY ::
↳ open minded | since amiel was already exposed to the public eversince she was a child, she already learned how to handle and react to things maturely like a grown-up woman.
↳ weird | as a royalty, amiel always have these weird thoughts going around her head that she would just suddenly blurt out even though she is in an acquaintance party. just like ‘why is the sky blue? can't it be violet?’ ‘why is it called red wine? can we call it maroon for it's in the shade of it?’ ‘father, why is a crown placed on the top of a head? can't we wear it as a bracelet?’ sometimes you will just get shock because she is already beside you asking these weird things. amiel is a weird child. that sums up all her personality. she wants to be an astronaut just to land in pluto because she thinks pluto is lonely and ‘he’ needs a friend— that must be something.
↳ witty | as her mother grounded her from going out of the palace, amiel would always spend her afternoon in their own library reading the books thoroughly or spending her time talking to the maids about the things that happen in the outside world resulting to a witty lady that she is today.
↳ straightforward | amiel doesn't know the word ‘holding back’. if she knows something is not right, she wouldn't have any second thoughts in correcting it— in the weirdest way possible.
↳ loving | even though her mother is sick in the head (well not really), amiel still loves her. actually, she loves everything. she just tends to be fascinated with everything as she is a very open one.
↳ daring | when amiel left the palace after being trapped in it for years, the first thing that she did was cutting her hair short. she is like rapunzel who wants to try everything because finally— she is free. (or not)
↳ confident | ‘ah yes yes! can i do it now? i still don't know how to work this thing out but i think i'll do great’ amiel is a very confident kid-- that's positive. but sometimes it gets out of hand that she would just get herself into trouble because of it. last time, she was very confident that she can ride the horse very well but ended up falling from it.

↳ as mentioned in the background, amiel's mother used to live in yongin, korea— the same place where changbin came from. the thing is, amiel's mother used to be in a relationship with changbin's father. her mother was from a poor family and that was the reason why they broke up because the seo's doesn't want to associate themselves with the word poverty. changbin's father was then arranged with another girl from a royal family and later on fell in love with each other while amiel's mom remained miserable for changbin's father didn't fought for their love. even now, amiel's mother has a grudge on the seo family. now let's discuss amiel and changbin's relationship with each other. one day, amiel followed changbin around the campus just because she heard someone calling him ‘binnie’. she followed him around just to say ‘bino... binnie... hello! i am from the kingdom of cambridge. i'm sure we will be great friends.’ changbin found her weird and has judged her immediately as if she was a creep. the next few days, amiel would just appear beside him saying these weird things and changbin became curious of her because of this. their friendship then bloomed when amiel found changbin punching his locker because apparently— changbin doesn't want to be a ruler too. amiel comforted the boy and they opened up with each other about not wanting to be a ruler in their own kingdom. they became comfortable and started hanging out with each other and amiel would always tell him that he reminds her of bino— her deceased friend from the cirque. changbin knows what to do everytime that happens— he needs to eat ice cream with amiel while sitting in a branch of their favorite tree just to uplift her mood.

when her mother knew about their friendship, she was furious. she told amiel that she shouldn't associate herself with low people (the kingdom of cambridge is more powerful than the kingdom of yongin). but tbh, her mom is just salty. she immediately flew from cambridge to where amiel is just to tell her to stop hanging out with the boy. changbin heard it all and tried to stand up for his friendship with amiel but amiel's mom was persistent. she sent amiel back to cambridge, but that didn't stop the two from becoming friends. amiel and changbin would always send letters to each other so that they are still updated with each other's lives. but after a few months, changbin stopped sending her letters. amiel was confused but then after a few weeks, for the third time around in her whole life, amiel felt a pang on her chest when she found out that changbin is being arranged with another girl from a royal family. well i guess, like mother like daughter is true. history repeats itself, m8.
