  1. Greetings,
  2.
  3. I am writing to you as the diplomat of A New Path, on behalf of the whole alliance.
  4.
  5. Our alliance was formed to separate ourselves from the greed for power and recognition that was happening in our past alliance. When we did this and stepped down from leading battles, our side in battles dissolved, leaving the server without battles. Despite knowing the results, we never had regrets. If a anything or anyone is causing you such a big stress, wanting to separate yourself from it is very normal. It took as a while to get back on our feet and assemble a team, but we did. When we were ready to do what it took to revive the server for the good of the people, I reached out to HelenBack on behalf of A New Path, and informed her that we were ready to do our part for the people of Houston.
  6.
  7. In this, our goal was not to earn anything. We even refused when we were offered free forts multiple times. We always cared about the people of this server, and our goal was to provide everyone a good and stable fort fighting environment. Houston was not what it used to be, there wasn't enough people with enough ambition to make it work in a 100% competitive world. Being aware of this, we notified Wild Kingdom, letting them know that cooperation would be the key, as it took two proper sides to make this work. One side trying to provide fun battles while the other side tried to "destroy their opponents" would not work. Both sides would have to care both for themselves, and for the other side.
  8.
  9. Both sides were claiming they were doing this for the betterment of Houston. Not for personal gains, not for dominating the world. In a perfectly competitive world, the things Wild Kingdom has been doing would be perfectly understandable. You need every angle you can get to beat your opponent. There's no honor in war, you do what you need to do. The thing is, this was not a perfectly competitive world. This was two sides, formed to be able to provide the people of this world with a stable fort battle environment, so that the world would not fully die. Not for forts, not for points, only for the players of both sides would be able to enjoy a good quality and balanced fort battle each night. We as A New Path did not step up to fight over a few forts, we only stepped up because it took two sides to do this.
  10.
  11. To have two balanced sides, you need three things: 1- A capable leader leading the battle on each side, leading the battle. 2- More or less even numbers. 3- More or less even distribution of Health Points and Damage. The problems started at "1". On this side, most of us are European players, with lives and jobs. Our forts were being dug after 10:30pm server time, which meant that we would have to stay up and lose sleep every other night. Before we move forward, let me once again address the fact that in a competitive server, this would be perfectly understandable. The attacker digs for the convenience of his/her alliance, not for the convenience of the opponents'. As long as the rules and pacts allow it (in this case, they did), you dig when you want to, and if the other side can't defend it, well, they lose a fort. Not your problem. But here's the thing. This was not a perfectly competitive server. This was two artificial sides, fighting only to provide the server daily and balanced battles. Not for their own benefits, but for the people. Without proper cooperation and understanding, this would never work. We would either have to abandon half of our battles and let the world die once more, or we would have to abandon our real lives and work, to keep up.
  12.
  13. Knowing these, on behalf of A New Path, I reached out to Spaghettisaurus and HelenBack, explaining the situation and asking for a way to solve it. Despite my attempts, the leadership of Wild Kingdom failed to recognize the fact that this issue was about both sides being able to have healthy battles every night. Our proposals were denied, and half of the battles started to be leaderless. A few players stepped up to try to help, but even then, the situation was more than inconvenient for many people. I, on behalf of A New Path, made a public complaint about the issue on the New World Forum. Right at the same time, we decided to start having morning battles as well, for the fact that we would be missing 50% of the battles without them. Just like their late (for us) digs, this was perfectly fine by the rules and pacts previous parties agreed upon.
  14.
  15. There were no official pacts between A New Path and Wild Kingdom, and our attempts to create them were rendered useless by the endless refusals we received. Both sides were just following the past pacts, made by other people, who no longer play in Houston.
