06[21:38] * Warm_Smiles continues ahead of the group, keeping his attention on a steady beat and his surroundings.
06[21:40] * Tricks keeps failing to not stare at Warm's flanks. It wasn't that she didn't stare at flanks all the time. It was just this time her face kept getting all hot...She follows behind Warm but seperated from the rest.
06[21:41] * Ignis walks around, lugging his assault rifle held by a strap. The dragon was rather undisturbed,  thinking about gems... Until he notices a weird smell... Did it was... Fish, on his breath? But he didn't remembered having any...
06[21:41] * Shady_steps trots along beside Mad_Modd and Ignis keeping an eye on the horizon for trouble
06[21:42] * Mad_Modd trots on after Warm_Smiles also watching for trouble
06[21:44] * Warm_Smiles pushes all other thoughts from his mind as he leads the group. He can't screw up again, he needs to stay vigilant; keep them safe.
06[21:45] * Arx_Sanare trots behind, still a flush on is cheeks, head bowed low and tail tucked between his legs.
06[21:48] * Tricks continues staring at Warms flank. She trots a little faster to catch up with the stallion. "So uhh...Warm right?"
06[21:51] * Ignis distractedly begins humming a song, the dragon snaps his fingers in synchrony with the tune.
06[21:53] * Shady_steps glances over at Ignis then over at Mad_Modd before looking back to the trail keeping Warm_Smiles in her line of sight.
06[21:54] * Warm_Smiles glances at Tricks, nodding in an answer before walking straight into a dead tree with a dull thud. He gives a rather angry snort and trots around it, waiting for the mare to talk.
06[21:55] * Mad_Modd chuckles to himself as he see Warm walk into a dead tree
[22:04] <~Vieral> 10 minutes pass, and the party grows closer to the ruins, able to se a few small pillars of smoke amongst the fallen buildings.

[22:05] <Mad_Modd> "Looks like were comming up on that town Arx saw."
06[22:06] * Warm_Smiles snorts a little, his eyes looking a little sad at the mare's words, though he does his best to recover. If only she knew the half of it.
06[22:06] * Shady_steps trots forward to see the town better
06[22:07] * Ignis stands his ground as he eyes the surroundings... Such a desolate scenario, like everything else on the wasteland.
06[22:07] * Arx_Sanare walks normal again by now, but still avoding every look at the zebra mare.
[22:08] <~Vieral> 10 Shady peers at the ruins, trying to see something, anything, but can only see fuzzy blobs of color
06[22:09] * Shady_steps shakes her head while scanning the town and moves to catch up with Warm and Tricks hoping to spot anything before it blows them up or eats them.
06[22:10] * Mad_Modd "Hey Shady wait up." Trots faster to catch up with the stable mare
01[22:10] <Tricks> Laini continues to take in her surroundings. Every now and then she takes a glance over at the Alicorn but immediately goes back to looking at the suddenly very interesting pebbles in the ground.
06[22:11] * Ignis shakes his head disconsolated as he sees his friends dashing up front... Recklessely rushing up ahead was the quickest way to get yourself on the front line and being shot or something worse.
06[22:12] * Arx_Sanare now starts to occassionally giving a glance at the zebra but looking away again just as quickly
06[22:13] * Tricks tries to give the buck an honest smile. "Yeah. I know that feeling too...But! We let them get to us and the wasteland wins right?"
06[22:13] * Shady_steps looks over at modd and gives him a smile as she falls in step with Tricks then goes back to watching the slowly approaching town
[22:15] <~Vieral> 10 as thr group moves along, a shallow pit opens beneath Tricks, Shady, and Modd
06[22:17] * Shady_steps trots forward until a her hoof falls over the edge acting on instinct she hops forward on her hind hooves clearing the trap and landing on the other side
06[22:18] * Mad_Modd "Dem Bones!!" as Modd falls into the pit
06[22:19] * Tricks 's cheeks flush as she starts to speak, "Well...I just wanted to say I really--" and suddenly her legs start to flail in the air as the ground suddenly opens up under her.
06[22:22] * Warm_Smiles grabs Tricks' hoof as the ground gives way, grunting a little, "I've got you."
06[22:23] * Mad_Modd hits the bottom of the pit with a soft thudd and "Oooff"
06[22:24] * Shady_steps spins and looks into the hole lighting her horn to see better
06[22:25] * Tricks stares up at the stallion clutching her hoofs as she dangles over the ledge. Her entire body seems to turn a bright red.
[22:25] <~Vieral> 10 modd's landing triggers a crude alarm system, setting off a few small catapaults worth of broken glass high into the air, and setting off a high-pitched siren
06[22:28] * Ignis 's ears twitch at the loud noise, he runs his claws into them and shouts. "GUYS, KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN"
[22:28] <~Vieral> 10 at the sound of the keening whine, a few small trapdoors open in the sides of the hills, with a few ghouls stepping out of them into the midday light
[22:29] <Mad_Modd> jummping to his hooves and reading his shotgun "Oh fuck you Bones!"
06[22:30] * Warm_Smiles grunts as he pulls Tricks up and back onto solid ground, spotting the ghouls approaching, "Arx! Get him out. Everyone else, get ready."
[22:30] <~Vieral> 10 the Leader of the ghouls points his poorly built spear at the party. "Me chief threeleg. you tresspassers." he then looks at mod's predicament.
06[22:31] * Shady_steps shakes her head and lets her horn die down
06[22:32] * Tricks glares at the ghouls. "I say we gut them all..." she mumbles. Clearly, she does not like ghouls.
[22:32] <~Vieral> 10 "You ruin manticore trap. take many hours to dig. you not see signs?" threeleg points to a sign a short ways back from the pit, warning about it.
06[22:33] * Ignis growls at the buzzing siren, the alarm was maddening the dragon's delicate ears. He drops to the ground, holding his ears.
[22:33] <~Vieral> 10 the signs say in bright red print, 4"MANTICOR TREP CATIUN"
[22:34] <Mad_Modd> "Ahh I guess I didn't see the sign. To be honest I don't realy pay to much atention to the signs."
06[22:34] * Warm_Smiles glances at Shady_steps after studying the tribals. Come on diplomat, show us wastelanders how it's done.
06[22:34] * Shady_steps looks over at the pony beside her grimacing at the zombie like face before giving the ghoul a apologetic look "i um apologise on behalf of my party "
06[22:36] * Arx_Sanare flaps his wings and flies over to the pit, where he starts to lift out Mad_Modd.
[22:36] <~Vieral> 10 "you not smart smoothcoat, is you?" he then turns to one of his... larger guardghouls, "Tallbone! help silly smoothcoat from pit, bring all to brig" he then turns, and walks back through the growing circle of guards. "We see what do with later."
[22:39] <~Vieral> 10 Tallbone, an obviously taller than average ghoul, limps over to the group, towering over warm by a whole head, and realises Modd's already out of the pit. his mouth is sewn shut.
06[22:39] * Shady_steps "sorry mr threeleg but we are in a bit of a hurry can't we just forget this all happened?”
06[22:39] * Tricks steps forward and raises her brass shoes to inspect them. "I don't think thats a good idea. Unless you want to end up with a few more puss-filled sores and half the ghouls and limbs you came with...I suggest you just let us leave."
06[22:40] * Ignis rolls on the dirt, shouting his lungs off. "KILL THE DAMN SIREN ALREADY!"
[22:41] <~Vieral> 10 Threeleg looks to the group... "What did you just call me, smoothcoat?" he glares angrily at Tricks, completely ignoring Shady's comment.
06[22:43] * Warm_Smiles trots between Tricks and Threeleg, glancing at the mare, "Stand down. We don't want unnecessary blood shed."
06[22:43] * Shady_steps gives Tricks a horrified look before moving between her and the ghoul "i have to apologize again for my party they seem to be on edge can't we just talk this out?"
06[22:46] * Tricks glares at Warm for a few seconds. Her eyes soften and seem to tear up before she looks away suddenly. "Fine. Sorry. Bad experiences." she says, mumbling the last part.
[22:47] <~Vieral> 10 Tallbones looks to his Chieftain at Warm and Shady's words, and threleeg mutters "Fine... but if that one says anything about my sores again, kill her."
[22:47] <~Vieral> 10 Tallbones then looks towards arx
[22:47] <Mad_Modd> "Hey is anypony going to get me out of this hole any time soon?!"
06[22:48] * Shady_steps nods "thank you now about the pit.."
06[22:49] * Arx_Sanare sets Modd down outside of the whole and returns the ghoul's gaze.
06[22:49] * Warm_Smiles nods, glad they could avoid an argument. He rests a hoof on her shoulder, "Didn't you just say something about letting the wastes win? Think. There are more ponies here than just you, Tricks."
[22:49] <Mad_Modd> "Thanks Arx."
06[22:51] * Ignis is nearly having seizures, the maddening ring is pounding and pounding inside his brain, bringing the dragon closer and closer into a tantrum.
[22:51] <Mad_Modd> "Oh suck it up you sissy! It isn't that loud!"
06[22:55] * Tricks notices Ignis sprawled on the ground after she manages to put aside her dislike of ghouls and tries to redeem herself in Warm's eyes. "I'm...sorry..." She manages to get out, attempting a smile. "I have had bad experiences in the past with ponies with your appearance. Perhaps you could cut the sirens? It seems one of ours is a little sensitive to them and we'd rather not have him fly into a rage..."
[22:55] <~Vieral> 10 Arx's eyes flicker about for a moment, then every pony in the party hears a slow, deep voice whispering in their minds. "My apologies for forcing my thoughts upon you like this. my colleagues thought the best way to medicate a broken jaw was to sew it shut. Luckily, my telepathic talents come in handy here."
06[22:56] * Shady_steps jumps backwards at the voice but catches herself before she falls into the pit
06[22:59] * Arx_Sanare grits his teeth, as bad memories aabout the godess and her mind control start to resurface.
06[22:59] * Warm_Smiles flinches at the voice, caught off guard. He glances at Tallbones, tsking a little at the ghoul as he turns to give him his full attention.
06[23:00] * Mad_Modd "Oh you lot hear the voices to?" thinking at the voive (hey voice guy whats going on?)
[23:02] <~Vieral> 10 "Please, do not be frightened, child of the goddess. I mean you and your friends no harm, only to ask you a boon in my chieftain's name." He then looks to Modd, "Such an interesting sight. Most Earth Ponies cannot communicate back through the Mindlink. though I do wonder..." He then looks towards one of the other ghouls, who nods and moves to cut the siren. "My apologies to your friend."
06[23:04] * Mad_Modd again thinking at the voice (Well we an't called /Mad/ Modd for nothin.)
06[23:04] * Ignis raises up, the ring still ringing a bit on his head... The dragon dizzly slouched to the group. "Worst trap...ever."
06[23:05] * Warm_Smiles snorts a little in thanks for the siren, "Are we allowed to go free if we assist you?"
06[23:07] * Shady_steps is still too stunned by the telepathic ghoul to talk
[23:07] <~Vieral> 10 Tallbone looks to Warm, then Speaks "You may go free either way, large one, but perhaps my people can provide a... reward of sorts for your assistance."
06[23:08] * Warm_Smiles nods, "Name it."
06[23:09] * Tricks 's eyes glisten at the words 'reward'. "Ah. Business. This I can understand."
06[23:09] * Shady_steps shakes her head and looks back at Warm_Smiles paying attention to what's being said
06[23:10] * Ignis walks up near the ghouls. "Well...what we need to do, and how much are you payin' ?"
[23:11] <~Vieral> 10 Tallbones closes his eyes, shifting his face in what could have been a smile, "Considering you're noticing of the local... contraptions, you could probably discrn that my people are having trouble with a Manticore and it's mate. they burrow through our homes, occasionally harming or feeding on our families. Chief threeleg would like you to remove them, the sooner the better."

Tallbone looks towards Shady, thinking an image of the manticore to them, it's bright red fur and shelled tails(2), and thinks out "The male looks like this, we haven't seen enough of the female to figure out her appearance yet. however, she's a greyish blue coloration."
06[23:18] * Shady_steps "what you want us to kill that?!" she blinks
06[23:18] * Ignis still waits for an answer, oblivious that the ghoul can't communicate to him due to the dragon's overpowered mental block.
[23:19] <Mad_Modd> "Gunna need a bigger gun for one of those." (and scrap)
06[23:19] * Arx_Sanare his profession as a hunter of all tainted creatures coming through again, he answers: "I will be happy to hunt these beasts down."
06[23:20] * Tricks clinks her brass shoes together in anticipation. "Sounds like fun. Sure, why not? I could use a few more caps."
06[23:21] * Ignis tilts his head. "The heck are you all talking about?"
[23:21] <~Vieral> 10 "The thanks of my people and Chief Threeleg I give to you then, travellers. and watch the skies. The beast usually hunts around this time of day."
06[23:21] * Shady_steps looks over at Ignis "what cant you hear him?"
06[23:22] * Warm_Smiles speaks up a little louder, "Not yet. We wouldn't last five minutes with what we have right now."
06[23:22] * Ignis narrows his eyes at the group of ghouls. "Of course I can't, look... His mouth is all sewn up, there's now ay he can say anything."

06[23:26] * Ignis blinks at Shady_steps. "No, why he would be able to do so?"

06[23:30] * Ignis sighs. "So, any chance somepony actually bothers telling me what is going on?"
06[23:30] * Warm_Smiles shakes himself, looking at the group, "The manticore can wait. Let's get to that town and plan our moves from there." He sets off again, trotting in the direction they were headed before the pitfall.
[23:30] <~Vieral> 10 Tallbone looks to the dragonling, "I find it amusing that a member of the species that originated Telepathy would assume that once a creature loses their voice, they are immediately struck mute."

06[23:43] * Ignis grimaces a bit and walks up to the others. "So, what now?"

06[23:44] * Warm_Smiles nods and starts trotting in the direction they were headed before the encounter, hoping to put distance between the group and the manticores.
06[23:44] * Arx_Sanare moves over to Laini, seeing that she is visibly uncomfortable. "Are you ok?"
06[23:45] * Mad_Modd "Welp lets get going I want to find that Jets fucker." starts to trot towards the town
06[23:45] * Ignis shouts up to the rest of them "Hey guys, we have a manticore to catch!"
06[23:46] * Warm_Smiles replies to Ignis without breaking his stride, "We'd be killed before we got a chance. The manticores can wait for now."
01[23:46] <Tricks> Laini glances at the alicorn and her face turns a bright red as she speeks. "My people are not used to such...invasions into the mind? Only those touched by the stars are able to do that..."
06[23:46] * Ignis shakes his head. "Why even going after them?" The dragon points to the trap. "We'll just rearm it and lure them into it."

06[23:48] * Tricks follows after Warm. She keeps her head down, still ashamed after Warm's intervention.

06[23:51] * Warm_Smiles glances at Tricks briefly, returning his attention to the way ahead after, "... you did well to calm yourself. In you hooves, I would've been unable."

06[00:01] * Ignis feels his tummy growl, the dragon brings a can of spam from his pack and begins to absent-mindedly chew on it.

06[00:02] * Tricks suddenly realizes she's rather hungry. But...being that she left in such a hurry from their last town...she never bothered to grab any food. She frowns as her stomach makes a rather loud gurgling noise.
06[00:03] * Warm_Smiles blinks at the licks, feeling a pang of sadness. He gives the pup a gentle nuzzle, glancing at Mad_Modd, "I would never take a child from their parents. She must have snuck in while I was distracted."
[00:04] <Mad_Modd> "Better hope they don't come looking for em. That would be bad."
[00:05] <~Vieral> 10 the puppy quickly draws he head into the bag in fear, for being outside. (she's normally so used to being in her safe den-home with mother)
06[00:06] * Warm_Smiles nods, "I know... we don't have time to return her now though. Everyone needs a bed and food, first and foremost."

06[00:08] * Mad_Modd again begins to trot towards the town humming a sond to himself

[00:28] <~Vieral> 10 the group nears the town, and reaches an area where a group of gryphons and earth ponies in salvaged power armor watch a hole into a toppled skyscraper. "Halt!" Shouts the larger gryphon wearing a helm, "What business do you have in Rustline?" he and his friends bear their magical energy rifles at the group.

06[00:30] * Shady_steps looks up at the town and the griffin waving a weapon she can't identify "sleep food and trade in that order!"
06[00:30] * Tricks mutters to Warm. "Just some...feelings...Your cute..." she looks up at the ponies and griffons before them. "We just need a place to stay. If thats not enough to let us in I could give you a bit of...payment?" she winks at the group of gaurds.

06[00:31] * Ignis just stays quiet and mentally notes to smack Mad_Modd later, hard.

06[00:33] * Arx_Sanare looks a bit worse for wear and barely drags himself into town. "Just...sleep..."
06[00:33] * Tricks points out matter-of-factly, "A turtle is an amphibian with a hard shell. Moves very slow."
06[00:33] * Shady_steps looks at Tricks blinking "lets just go in shall we"
06[00:33] * Mad_Modd frowning "Of coars we can read! We arn't stupid."

06[00:35] * Tricks comments to shady as they continue into town. "You'd be surprised what some ponies scream out when in the heat of passion."
06[00:35] * Warm_Smiles trots into the town, looking for an inn or tavern. His heart pounded a little quicker than normal as he glanced at Tricks. She found him cute? How many years has it been since someone said he was cute?

[00:37] <~Vieral> 10 the town of Rustline is mostly made up of a large section of a fallen ckyscraper, it's sideways floors and elevator shafts turned into rooms and halls. there are four districts. the tavern district, the adnim district, the market district, and the residents district
06[00:39] * Ignis raises his voice. "Eh guys... If you don't mind, I'd rather go shopping first. If anyone wants anything, just leave me the caps or something you don't wanna anymore and I'll trade in."
06[00:39] * Arx_Sanare drags himself onwards, for no particular goal, as he can't seem to find what he is looking for. "Need...rad...so...tired..." With a final sigh, he collapses on the floor, unconscious.

06[00:44] * Ignis stores the worn weapon in his pack. The dragon had serious doubts if that would be enough to buy a grenade launcher... Well, he might just settle for ammo, that's if,  assuming that town even had one for sale.

01[00:45] <Tricks> Laini looks at the Alicorn in concern. "Is it something with your...problem...again?" She fusses and looks at the ghoul. "Radiation? I don't..." she looks between the ghoul and the alicorn stallion in worry. "This is not something my tribe is experienced with!"

[00:47] <~Vieral> 10 she then takes a bottle of irradiated water, and pours it onto arx's head. "there ya go, sweetie, ol' lady cherry's gotcha now." she then leads the ones carrying him to a small area in the tavern district.
06[00:48] * Ignis can barely conceal a smile of delight as the stablemare decides to accompany him. "Yeah, let's..." The dragon speaks on a slightly more joyfull tone.
06[00:49] * Warm_Smiles grunts a little under the weight of the alicorn, glancing at the others, "Meet up in that tavern. Don't get lost."

06[00:49] * Mad_Modd trots off after Shady and the dragon
06[00:49] * Shady_steps smiles and nods and heads to the traders with Ignis and Mad_Modd
06[00:51] * Ignis begins to make a few calculations with his thumbs, the dragon was trying to cram the math to get the most out of his meager resources.

06[01:25] * Shady_steps looks at a Service Rifle before picking it up with magic and looking over the moving parts

06[01:27] * Shady_steps dry fires the rifle at the floor and displays a deep understanding of the weapon deeper than most stable dwellers would have
[01:27] <~Vieral> 10 He then turns to a colt trotting on, carrying a small sack. "Ey, scribbles, whatchye bring yer uncle t'day boy?" the colt nods to the grizzled pony, then says "I gots a magical rifle, a boom rifle, an' a couple big pistols, unca' Gearbite."

06[02:22] * Shady_steps looks down at her new gun before hoofing it over to modd "ok what do you think?"
06[02:22] * Ignis ponder over for a moment and nods. "Okay, I'll take it." The dragon lays down his pristine assault rifle and ammo on the counter, getting the hunting rifle and the same ammount of ammo for it as well in turn.
06[02:24] * Mad_Modd hoofs Shady his shotgun and takes the rifle "Carefull its loaded." looking at the rifle "I havent seen one of these in this good of condition before."
06[02:25] * Shady_steps looks the shotgun over "we cant make any shotguns at my stable no schematics for them"
06[02:26] * Ignis searches his bag and brings out his two brand new 10mm pistols and warm's used revolver, along with the ammo for it. "So, how much is this going to set me back?" The dragon finds something else afterwards, lifting two bottles of drugs (Hydra and dash) over the counter. "Also, you buy these?"

06[02:35] * Mad_Modd carefully reassembles the rifle "You take care of this rifle. Its probably the best i've seen in some time." he then hoofs it back to Shady and take his shotgun back putting it back in it holster

The dragon knew that this was way over the value of the weapon warm gave him, but eh... At least the stallion would own him one, and the dragon would hold on to that favor and expect return...
