<Sharon_Apple> "I don't know. My partners found what they thought was a method of dimensional travel, right before everything ended. I believe they're still out there somewhere, but I just don't know for sure. But I don't think that matters. It's important to me."
<Gulping> "I see. Do as you see fit then. My personal promise evaporated with the rest of my world."
<Kaguko> "To be fair, what matters isn't as much how you get here as it is what you do while you're here. There's a chance for a new life out here, such as it is..."
<Sharon_Apple> "I've been on this island for a while, but after I saw that woman's broadcast a few weeks ago, I decided I wanted to try to leave and look for her organisation. I don't think I could make a difference here on my own..."
<Gulping> "I have her number, if you wish to get in touch."
<Gulping> "I believe they're on Mars right now, unfortunately."
<Sandwitches__> Lou seems to look up a little, blinking...
<Sandwitches__> Lou picks herself up off the sand and approaches the young woman, smiling...
<Sharon_Apple> "On Mars? That's a little far. I'm not good with space travel. Do they have branches or allies here on Earth?"
<Sandwitches__> "Yes."  Lou interjects.  "I'm a member of QUEST, myself.  I ended up with everyone here because my apprentice was kidnapped by a gangster they were fighting."  She smiles.
<Kaguko> "...QUEST? Aren't they that other organization I keep hearing about?"
<Sandwitches__> "Yeah...  They're a Diplomatic Organization, that doubles as a defense and troubleshooting force for an alliance of Citystates here in the patchwork."
<Kaguko> "Interesting..."
<Kaguko> "I suppose they're as strange a group as ours, too..."
<Gulping> "Eclectic, yes. We're not as nice, though."
<Sharon_Apple> "You are? Then, you're working for a real magical girl?" She sounds excited.
<StealthyTwo> "What exactly makes a 'magical girl' different to a witch?" Roadkill muses.
<Sharon_Apple> "That's simple. A magical girl fights to protect people, whereas a witch fights to hurt people, usually. Though sometimes a witch can be good, I think?"
<Sandwitches__> Lou chuckles and produces a small yellow gem.  "Not just...  working for one."

<Sharon_Apple> "You are? Then... do you think I should stay here and work with you?"
<Sandwitches__> "Well...  We're all more or less stuck here till Panau is free...  But...  If you want, then yeah."
<Kaguko> "The more the merrier, I think. If we free this place, that's one more foothold we'll have to support us."
<RickDominated> Samus makes another dark chuckle. "Oh, don't get us wrong. They're trapped here with US, my darling!"
<Sandwitches__> Lou rolls her eyes but is still smiling.  "My names Lou, by the Way.  Lou Roux."
<Sharon_Apple> "Kayla Granciel. It's an honour to meet you."
<Sharon_Apple> "I'm looking forward to working with all of you, then."
<RickDominated> Samus nods, and almost casually runs over her with her scan visor.
<RickDominated> "...according to my scans... you're a pair of goggles."
<StealthyTwo> Roadkill reaches over and takes the goggles off of Samus's helmet. "Maybe try that again..."
<Sharon_Apple> The scan result is fairly simple. Kayla appears to be, more or less, human, though not of Earth origin. She's more human than Klan, at least. However, her pendant seems to defy analysis even to the scan visor's sensors...
<RickDominated> "...that's interesting for sure. Stupid magic."
<Sandwitches__> "Nice to meet you."  She nods and offers her, her hand.  "Just so you know, QUEST has a affiliate that I think you'll be intersted in working with as well.  Its...  more of a support group than anything else."
<Sharon_Apple> Kayla looks down at Lou's hand for a moment, then shakes it, smiling. "Let's talk about that later. Even if the sea isn't good for swimming and there's only one sun, we might as well enjoy the beach while we can."
<Gulping> "One sun? You come from a binary system?"
<RickDominated> "...those are always so pretty, especially at the sunsets if they match up...
<Sharon_Apple> "That's right, I do. You must've travelled a long way in the past if you've seen it firsthand..."
<RickDominated> "I was a space warrior. Saw my share of fun Xenoplanets... ...wait, the past?"
<RickDominated> "Blew up half of them..." Sammy adds in Sotto Voce.
<Sharon_Apple> "I mean... before you came to this world."
<RickDominated> "...oh, yeah. Sorry, thought you were from a real weird world."
<Sharon_Apple> "Nothing like that... wait, did she just say you blew up planets? Entire planets?"
<RickDominated> "...accidents."
<RickDominated> "Five of them?" "Shaddup."
<Kaguko> "...Not surprising."
<Kaguko> "I've been around for the destruction of a planet at least. And it wasn't even my fault." Da Vinci blithely admits.
<Sharon_Apple> She looks to Lou, then back to Samus. "One of the enemies we fought was a group of space vampires that travelled around draining energy and destroying entire planets. I think it was some kind of miracle that we managed to stop them, but... that sort of thing happened a lot back then."
<Kaguko> "...Space vampires? That's new."
<Gulping> "We never developed planet busters. Asteroid crackers, yes, but there wasn't much call for anything beyond that."
<Gulping> "Granted, when you only have one solar system, you don't have the luxury of disposable planets."
