If the cluster display is reading an ESP malfunction, you would need to pull the code(s) on why it is malfunctioning. It could be any number of things such as a bad wheel speed sensor, the steering wheel angle sensor, the yaw sensor, or the acceleration sensor just to name a few possibilities.
