Structures:
   The rock/fence around is fine, but the build inside of it needs a little love. You can use different blocks, besides wood, to build with. Also, you can use slabs, stairs, buttons, trap doors etc.. to add more depth to the sides of the building. Spamming them on the side wouldn't help though. The interior is fine

Terrain/Organics:
   You can add hand-made treed to your plot to add to the look and feel of the overall build. also, try adding more flowers, leaves, and maybe even crops as well. you can add a lake or river; whatever you want to add to the surroundings.

Fix your building and add to the outdoors and you will do great as a Novice!
