While ultimately it would prove to be incorrect belief, Mietko's death greatly strengthened the Red Party's grip on the region for the next decade."

Ultimately, thanks to campaigning by the Yellow Party and outside mediation via The Alliance of Nations, the city would be returned to the Damdamians on the 1st Early Autumn 1937."

This, in turn, would prove disasterous during the 1938 Presidential Elections, in which Mocan, running for the second term, would gain only 9% of the citizens' votes."

Red Party utilized the miners' anger to gain upper hand in the Parliament. Their Presidential candidate, Eryk Pankratiniec, would win the elections next year as a result."

He announced the suspension of the Pankratinian constitution, dissolution of the Parliament and establishment of military control over the Republic. Gizko's dictatorial rule would last for 14 years until the civil authority was restored and Second Pankratinian Republic was proclaimed in Midwinter 1974."
