  1. -- recreantOctopus [RO] began trolling absoluteAltitude [AA] --
  2. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] unlocks her door and steps inside for the first time in ages. She's just here to quickly pick up some clothes, so it's okay, right? --
  3. -- recreantOctopus [RO] lies across the street from Paloma's hive, wearing a CLEVER HIPSTER DISGUISE and newspaper pulled over him --
  4. -- recreantOctopus [RO] stands up. She's here! He hurries as stealthily as he can using his power and slips inside behind her --
  5. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] doesn't seem to notice. Score! She turns around and locks the door up again - can't be too careful, right? - and begins walking up towards the stairs... --
  6. -- recreantOctopus [RO] holds his breath until Paloma heads towards the stairs. Then he checks the bottom floor for anyone else, and any electronic devices that could be used for trollian --
  7. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] heads up the stairs. There's no one else on the bottom floor, but it looks like Cirrin's in luck -- there's a stationary electronic device in the respiteblock, all hooked up to the wall. --
  8. -- recreantOctopus [RO] pulls the power tube out of the squishy bits and captchalogs it. Then he slowly heads up the stairs --
  9. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] leans over her dresser, taking out articles of clothing and captchaloguing them, none the wiser. --
  10. -- recreantOctopus [RO] creeps up somewhere behind her, hugging the walls. He equips his shockprobe, currently turned off, and readies himself. His eyes are wide and his breathing shallow in this moment of hesitation --
  11. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] pauses. Has she noticed him?! ... no. She was just deciding between the black shirt and the very dark grey shirt. --
  12. -- recreantOctopus [RO] darts forward and press his stunprod against her back and wraps a hand around her mouth --
  13. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] stiffens, her eyes widening as she feels something pressed against her back. --
  14. AA: <\ Mmmff! />
  15. RO: shhhhhh
  16. -- recreantOctopus [RO] tries to nod her head with hand attached to her mouth --
  17. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] gulps down her fear and nods on her own. She tries to look behind her, to see who it is... --
  18. -- recreantOctopus [RO] has stopped using his power but tries not to let her turn around. He slowly lets go of the hand on her mouth --
  19. -- absoluteAltitude's [AA'S] voice is quiet, panicked. --
  20. AA: <\ What, what do you want? />
  21. -- recreantOctopus [RO] takes out a piece of paper covered in back ink hand writing --
  22. RO: "This is CIRRIN RUNFAR showing CIRRIN RUNFAR can back up CIRRIN RUNFARs threats. if this was a knife CIRRIN RUNFAR could have totally killed you by now!
  23. RO: thats not what CIRRIN RUNFARs going to do here. this isnt even threating to do that this showing that CIRRIN RUNFAR could threaten to do that if CIRRIN RUNFAR wanted to so you better take CIRRIN RUNFAR seriously!
  24. RO: so this doesnt count as an actual death threat and nobody needs to get mad or take revenge okay?"
  25. AA: <\ ... />
  26. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] gives the note a flat sort of look as she reads it. --
  27. AA: <\ You break into my home, hold me at weaponpoint... and say it isn't a threat? />
  28. RO: uhhhhh...
  29. AA: <\ Cirrin, we, we already take you seriously. There's no need for anything like this! />
  30. -- recreantOctopus [RO] makes an annoyed sound like he doesn't believe her, and pokes her with the prod --
  31. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] takes a deep breath. She doesn't know how much damage his weapon can do, and she isn't willing to find out. --
  32. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] seems to slump a little, though, as she realises that she might just deserve to find out. --
  33. AA: <\ ... do you really want to do it? />
  34. RO: uhh uh
  35. AA: <\ After everything I've done... />
  36. RO: hmmm?
  37. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] shakes her head. --
  38. AA: <\ ... I deserve to be cornered like this, I think. />
  39. RO: huh?
  40. -- recreantOctopus [RO] chuckes --
  41. RO: uh huh
  42. AA: <\ I screwed everything up... />
  43. AA: <\ I even got Amaloc hurt. />
  44. AA: <\ So whatever you want to do to me... just do it! />
  45. RO: am ah oouk?
  46. -- recreantOctopus [RO] seems more confused by this, it isn't what he was expecting --
  47. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] hangs her head. --
  48. AA: <\ ... you know I can't understand you. />
  49. -- recreantOctopus [RO] growls --
  50. AA: <\ I'm sorry, okay?! />
  51. AA: <\ I can't... I can't go back and fix this! />
  52. RO: whaa uh eeh aah oou oo ee oo aah oou?!
  53. -- recreantOctopus [RO] sounds fustrated and pokes her again --
  54. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] sighs. --
  55. AA: <\ ... do you want to know what I'm talking about? Is that it? />
  56. -- recreantOctopus [RO] shakes her, then calms down a little --
  57. RO: uh huh
  58. AA: <\ ... Solena saw your message to me. />
  59. RO: ahh?
  60. AA: <\ She pressed me for information, which... I couldn't give her. But eventually... eventually she found out that Amaloc was involved. It was my fault... if, if I'd been smarter, she wouldn't have... />
  61. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] shakes her head. --
  62. AA: <\ ... anyway, we fought, she knocked me out and went to Amaloc's. />
  63. RO: uh huh uh huh
  64. -- recreantOctopus [RO] sounds excited --
  65. AA: <\ ... don't you get excited. She didn't hurt him badly. Not... not as badly as I thought she would. />
  66. RO: eeeee!
  67. -- recreantOctopus [RO] sounds pretty happy anyway --
  68. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] glares. She whirls on Cirrin suddenly, driving her heel down onto his ankle. --
  69. AA: <\ SHUT UP! />
  70. -- recreantOctopus [RO] was too busy swooning to react to Palomas sudden twist and jumps back in reaction to getting his foot stomped --
  71. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] slips into a battle-ready stance and takes her umbrella in hand, still glaring at Cirrin. --
  72. AA: <\ You wanna hear what happened? Then don't sound so happy about it! />
  73. AA: <\ These are my quadrants you're squealing about! />
  74. -- recreantOctopus [RO] frowns for a second in confusion, then lets that go --
  75. RO: oh
  76. AA: <\ ... Cucali woke me up, and, and we went to follow her. />
  77. AA: <\ She and Solena got into a fight, and... and oh god, I think they... I think their relationship was hurt. />
  78. AA: <\ Because of me. />
  79. AA: <\ Because of me! />
  80. AA: <\ Do you get it, Cirrin?! />
  81. -- recreantOctopus [RO] falters when she says this, his mouth hangs open slightly. --
  82. -- recreantOctopus [RO] then he nods, which turns into an angry sneer --
  83. AA: <\ So if you want to fight me, fight me! But if you can't do that, just get out! />
  84. -- recreantOctopus [RO] shakes his weapon at her, but bounces on his feet, not sure whether to advance or abscond --
  85. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] snarls, staring Cirrin down. --
  86. AA: <\ ... I see. />
  87. AA: <\ Get out. />
  88. -- recreantOctopus [RO] growls, and drops a smoke bomb as a distraction and uses his power to escape --
  89. -- absoluteAltitude [AA] coughs, popping open her umbrella to try and shield herself from an attack which... never actually comes. --
