•When Meilin was around the age of 2, her father began drinking, now I'm not talking about a harmless glass of wine after a hard day of work, he was constantly drinking. He was always shouting and passing out everywhere. Meilin was terrified of her father at this point, she would always hide with her brother under the bed when he was shouting. Sometimes when it was really bad, Meilin’s mother would sit with her and teach her music and let her listen to music, to distract her from the sound. Things got worse when Meilin was 5, he starting doing drugs and getting arrested, mostly for drunk driving, And even at that age Meilin promised herself that she would never let herself destroy her or others lives by drugs or alcohol. Meilin’s mother couldn’t handle any of it and divorced him and left back to her hometown koran when Meilin was 6. Meilin was happy when she moved to Korea, she could speak Korean perfectly as her Mother had been talking to her in Korean since the day she was born. She joined as many music classes as she could at school and made many friends out of it. Meilin also began doing a lot of sports, she had always been running around and her mother thought it would be great for her to do some sports. She firstly joined the girls football team, then joined the school’s tae kwon do club.
•When Meilin turned 10 she starting getting into fights at school, after this, people starting avoiding her and teachers looked down at her. Meilin didn’t want to have that type of reputation at school and stopped fighting, but there was always that one kid that tried to persuade her to fight, and she ended up doing so. When Meilin was 14 she moved school and that stopped her reputation as a ‘trouble-maker’, but the cheekiness in her never left, which still got her trouble at school.
