He turned the plane toward Godzilla in preparation for a bombing
run. He picked up the radio transmitter around his neck and shouted,
“Prepare the attack!!” His voice was crisp and loud so the squadron mates
flying alongside him could hear over the noise of their engines. “Drop!!”
The bombs began falling one after the next from the wings of the jet
squadron. Whoosh—the bombs cut through the air. They fell around
Godzilla, engulfing him on all sides. They began to explode into columns of
fire at his feet—KA-POW! KA-POW! However, the explosions didn’t shake
him in the least.
