Fate of The World Session 3

"Look at it Hiro, look at it!" Renee exclaims as she twirls the spear around

"Okay okay, I see it! Just stop spinning that thing around! How'd you even get it anyway?" you reply waving at her to stop

"I dunno, I just woke up with it on your bed along with that COMP thing." She says waving the gauntlet she'd put on her arm. "Sailor Moon is inside of it too!"

"Hello~!" You hear from her COMP

"Morning, I hope Renee didn't wake you as rudely as she woke me up."

"Oh no, it's fine. Honestly, it's way better than how I'd get waken up at home."

"Ugh I know what you mean, my mom would wake me up at the crack of dawn to try and get me to do farm work." Ryza said from your COMP

"Remind me to never visit your world when this is over." Ace says with a chuckle "I prefer livin' my pirate's life."

It seemed like everyone was getting along, and with no need to go to work today it was nice to try and relax for a bit. Hopefully nothing bad would happen.

"Oh yeah, your closet is glowing blue by the way." Renee said

"Sorry sorry! I was just so excited! We're super heroes Hiro!"

"Goddammit Igor..." You mutter rubbing your temples "Well, I doubt we're really heroes. It's Ace and the others who will probably do all the heavy lifting."

"Hey don't sell yourself short! I'm sure you guys will able to be recognized eventually." Ryza said

"Come on Hiro, shouldn't we like, go on patrol or something?" Renee asks

"I'd rather just patrol my couch with my ass."

"Ooooh, don't be so lazy!"

"Didn't you need more drinks anyway?" Ace asks, I know I'd enjoy that."

"Oh yeah, I'd like to try some of this world's food as well!"

"Ya hear that Hiromu? The lady's hungry!"

Oh god, you can't be expected to feed all of them can you?

"Hiro I'm huuuuuuungry~!" Renee whines

Goddammit it never ends!

"Fine, FINE! I needed to do some food shopping anyway..." You grumble

Cheers resound around you as you grab your sword and put it on your back. No point in being unprepared, and Renee follows suit, gearing up as well. The two of you head down to the apartment lobby and through the doors you can see our car!

"My car! It's fixed!" You exclaim running outside and looking it over. No more dents, no more cracked windows and most importantly of all: No broken windows. Looks like Igor really came through and at least getting to the gorcery store won't require a bus trip.

You both get in the car, Renee calling shotgun...even though it's not like your summons are gonna be sitting the thing right now. Starting it up, you begin driving. The grocery store isn't too far, 20 minutes at the most, depending on traffic.

You honestly thought something was going to happen on your way there, but nope! Things are all good and you get to the grocery store without trouble. So far so good...now the hard part...how much do you buy? You've got two (technically four) mouths to feed right now.

You sigh...you don't want to. You really don't want to. But you know that where Ace is from and who he is. That man can pack it away, and Renee is no slouch either. You aren't sure about Ryza, but hopefully she won't be as bad. To that end, you go crazy grabbing as many meats, drinks, snacks and whatever else you can, all while Renee follows and watches with glee at the possible feast that will occur.

Jokes on her, you're limiting it all to breakfast food only.

You have a way to pay for this though you don't like doing it. Your parents gave you a card linked to their bank account and your dad gave you the card for you to use in emergencies. You initially refused, wanting to be independent, but your dad didn't let up.

You're kind of thankful for it right now at least.

You get your thing rung up and rolled out to your car where you and Renee begin to stuff them into your trunk. However, as you finish up you notice something about the parking lot: It's empty.

"Hiromu...something's wrong." Ace says "I don't know how to explain it...but we aren't alone.

"Yeah...I feel it too." Sailor Moon says
"Er...Hiro...I think I found out what it is!" Renee exclaims pointing a little a few feet away.

"Is that a fucking wolf?" You mutter

You watch as the monster edges closer...and 3 more join it in its approach.

"Oh god fucking dammit.

The wolves break out into a sprint as they begin to attack. The first one comes charging directly at you and unfortunately, it manages to leap onto you and it manages to get a good bite in before you kick it off, slashing it dead on, which causes it let out a yelp of pain.

"Hang on Hiromu, I got ya!" Ace yells leapin in front of you and lunging at the wolf "Burn ya little bastard!"

The wolf yells even louder as the flames from Ace's finger damage it.

"Renee, look out!" Ryza yells brandishing her staff at one of the other wolves, you think she's going to charge in but instead several small orbs shoot out of it and blast the wolf out of the way, giving Renee enough time to run over and driver her spear into it. It isn't dead yet, but it is definitely not healthy right now.

The third wolf goes for Renee too, but it just barely misses, as Sailor Moon manages to block its path.

"Yow!" Sailor Moon screeches as she manages to bat the dog away. "These things actually sort of hurt!"

The last two wolves go for ace, but he just sidesteps it like it's nothing, smirking all the while.

"Ya gotta do better than that!" he teases "Come on, be a good boy and try again."

As if replying to Ace's taunt, the wolf leaps at him, catching the pirate off guard.

"Oh Crap!" Ace shouts

"Hang on, I'll soften it! Moonlight!"

A small glow covers yours and everyone else's body. You feel as if you're more hardy, the attacks from these monsters not being nearly as bad. Ace still takes the hit, but it's not nearly as bad as it could have been and you take the chance to slash it from behind. While Ace at the same time attempts to burn it.

The wolf breaks off of Ace, yowling all the while as it does so. The wolf that you'd attacked before came at you, but Ryza blasted it to dust using the same attack as before. There's one down at least.

You look over to Renee, who still has the wolf she was fighting impaled. It tries to snap at her, but Renee lifts her spear out of its body and then beheads the thing causing it to fade away.

There's only two wolves left now, and your team is feeling very emboldened by that fact.

"Let's finish this already! I wanna eat!" Ace shouts

"Yeah, I'm gonna eat all the donuts!" Renee chimes in

Like hell she is, those are your powdered donuts and she's gonna have to fight you for them!

The wolf that you'd attacked, comes for you again. But working together like before you and Ace managed to hit it at the same time and kill it, the wolf melting away into nothingness.

Good. That just leaves one more.

"Kya!" You hear Ryza yell, as the second wolf manages to get a bite in on her. she quickly whacks it on the head, causing it to jump away...only to be impaled by Renee and have its head crushed by Sailor Moon's boot. It fades away just like the others, and soon you're all alone in the parking lot finally.

"Alright we did it!" Renee whoops throwing her hands into the air "Score one for team Hiro!"

As Renee celebrates, her hands glow, a sudden bolt of Electrical energy raining down from the sky.

"H-holy...I didn't know I could do that! He-hey, Hiro! I can use magic!"

"I...noticed." You say dumbfounded

Before you can say anything else...you notice Ace looking at you.

"Something wrong Ace?" You ask

"No it's just...hey Hiro...take my hand. I wanna try something." He says holding his hand out

"I don't get it."

"Just roll with me on this, I think I'm onto something.

"Well okay I guess. No homo by the way." You say taking his hand

Ace doesn't say anything and instead, the second you touch his hand, you can see a sort of...vision in your mind. It's almost like you're reliving Ace's memories and how he practiced some of his powers. When it's done...you have knowledge. The knowledge of how to you use one of Ace's attacks.

"So...ya learn anything?" Ace asks

"Yeah...I think I just did." You say looking at your right hand...and the little sparks of flame that light up at your finger tips.

As you fight with your summoned allies, there may be a time where during level up, you'll be able to learn one of their attacks! You can also learn some by raising their affection to certain thresholds.

You marvel at the fact that you just got a serious power boost, but you're given very little time to do anything as you hear a deafening roar fill the area.

Atop the grocery store, you see a large...oh fuck you know what that is.

The Bear Noise, jumps from the roof, landing nearby and letting out a roar.

"Oh great, another one?!" Sailor Moon huffs "Where do these things keep coming from?!"

"Get ready everyone!" You say brandishing your sword.

Words of agreement resound around you as the Bear Noise roars and both sides meant to engage one another. You move in to attack with your sword, but the creature moves to the side just enough to dodge it. You watch as the bear goes for an attack, only instead of hitting you like you thought, he instead manages to hit Ryza, his claw shooting out like a whip to attack her.

"Gyuh..." Ryza groans,

"Hang on, I got you covered!" Ace calls out as he slams his hand on the ground, a pillar of flame hitting the Noise and causing it to roar in pain."

Trait:Follow up activated

Not letting it stop her, Ryza does two things: First she first an orb at the creature, and then tosses a small ice cube looking object with a fuse on it.

That's a goddamn bomb! you leap out of the way as it goes off, snowflakes falling to the ground as the Grizzly is hit.

"My turn!" Renee calls out as she raises her hand to the sky like before, the lightning coming forth adn shocking the grizzly.

"Hang on everyone! I'll toughen us up even further!"

You feel that same sensation from before. You're even more durable than before!

Defense raised. Damage reduced by -4

The Grizzly shakes off the damage you dealt and swings one of its massive claws at the nearest person. Unfotunately, that just happens to be you, you grunt, bearing the pain thanks to Sailor Moon's spell from earlier. You decide to retun the favor by busting out the move that Ace taught you. You light a finger on fire and touch the monster causing it to roar again in agony.

Ace doesn't miss a beat as he causes another pillar to shoot out and burn it either further, while Ryza throws another ice bomb at it, the different temperatures mixing together. And this is only furthered when Renee decides to shock it again.

"Moon Tiara Action~!" Sailor Moon calls out as she takes her Tiara off and throws it at the enemy.

"Oh my god. OH MY GOD, Hiro, she said it! She said the thing!"

"Renee is now really the time?!" You shout

"Oh shut your mouth, I'm having a moment!"

"Hiro, you're hurt! Hang on!" Sailor Moon calls out, holding her hand out towards you. You feel a lot less tired, the aches your body had  slowing down and disappearing somewhat. The Grizzly seeing what happened, moves towards Sailor Moon to attack her, but the Sailor Scout is far too agile and dodges the attack with ease. This leaves him open, allowing you to use Fire Finger again and burn him.

"Followin' your lead Hiromu!" Ace calls out using another Flame Pillar

Ryza this time instead of a ice bomb instead throws one that is already crackling before it lands, but when it does, the monster is shocked, With Renee adding even more insult to injury.

You aren't sure what just happened. You tried to hit the Grizzly, but it dodged. Ace did the same and it dodged., Renee tried to shock it. And it. fucking. dodged. The only real take away is that when he tried to hit Renee she managed to not get hit.

However, Sailor Moon and Ryza were able to damage the monster, causing it to howl again. You don't really knwo what happened this time, but you're just going to pretend that it didn't happen save for Ryza and Sailor Moon coming through.

God you hope no one was watching.

This thing is nearly dead. You can tell. It's looking battered and bruised from all the fighting, but the same could be said for you and your friends. Still, you've got to keep pushing forward! You lay another attack in on the Grizzly, and the pain causes it to whip its claw around, You manage to duck out of the way...only for Renee to get hit instead.

"Gyaaaaaah!!!" She screams

"Renee! Are you okay?!" You call out too her, she whimpers in approval, unable to get the words out

"Damn thing needs to know the proper way to treat a lady!" Ace cries causing more fire to spurt up again.

"Preferably by dying!" Ryza yells throwing another bomb at it.

Though she's hurt, Renee still manages to cast another lightning spell at the monster, causing it to whip around wildly...which causes Sailor Moon to miss her attack.

"D-dammit. Sorry everyone!"

"Hang on Renee! I've got a bit of juice left in me!" Sailor Moon calls out, like with you, she holds her hand out, healing the wounds that Renee had sustained.

"T-thanks!"

While that's happening, you deliver another slash to the Grizzly, it hurts it, but it doesn't seem to have done much, instead focusing on Ace as he lights him up again. The Grizzly must have gotten annoyed because with a louder roar than before he turns on Ace and delivers a hit that actually sends him flying.

"A-Ace!" You call out

"I-I'm okay...friggin' barely though."

Before the monster can follow up, Ryza throws another bomb. Another Thunder one shocking the thing with Renee following up once again.

"Can it just die already?!" Renee shouted

The fight continues on. The beast is staggering...you can end it! You rush in, bringing your sword down in a horizontal slash across its chest. While it's clearly hurt, the monster shakes it off and growls at you before balling its claw up into a fist and Punching you so hard you land on the trunk of your car

Pain...so much pain. You stumble off of it, your ears ringing from the hit as the others call your name.

"Why you!" Ryza growls

Trait: Follow up Activated!

Like before, Ryza Shoots a sphere of magic at the monster, before following it up with another bomb. The monster roars again even louder this time. Before it can act though Ace is back on it, touching it with his finger.

Unfortunately, the flames don't last long enough and the monster is quick enough that it moves out of the way of both Renee and Sailor Moon's attacks. You don't know how much longer you can hold out...

You peel yourself off your car and with what last bit of strength you can muster, you get run at the Grizzly, Dodging a claw swipe and stabbing it as hard as you can. Ace and Ryza join in, beating on the thing until finally, after what has felt like a decade, the thing goes down. Letting out one final roar, as it melts away into nothingness.

"Oh god it's finally gone!" Renee exclaims "H-Hiro are you okay?!" Renee asks

You look around and...the parking lot is normal now. There are people going about their business, some looking at you all in your battered state. You don't say anything and instead just limp to the car with everyone else piling in. It's time to head home.
