Q. What game is this?
A. FireGold, a remake/demake of HeartGold using a FireRed base. Created by Black Fragrant in 2022 or so.

Q. What stats are you looking for on Totodile?
A. Lonely/Naughty only, 30+ Attack, 12+ Sp. Atk, 25+ Speed. HP and Defenses don't matter.

Q. Hardest fights?
A. Chuck can go bad if you get unlucky, same with all the Elite Four except for Bruno. But overall, the fights aren't too bad.

Q. Any tricks or glitches?
A. A LOT, actually.

This hack is one where I can finally do both repel skips and the mail glitch. Repel skips allow me to take a step while refreshing a repel to skip sequence triggers. This allows me to skip a bunch of fights, including Jasmine, and get to the league with only 6 badges (I also delay Clair until after the Elite Four since she's a tough fight early). I can also repel skip into Viridian Gym in Kanto, allowing me to avoid getting 7 Kanto badges. The platforming is super precise in places because of this which makes it a bit challenging!

The mail glitch is used to duplicate Rare Candies (32 times to be precise) in the late game in order to be able to handle Blue and Red easily. With the IV requirements and Lv. 83 on Gatr, this is enough to outspeed Red's Pikachu, as well as 2HKO his Venusaur (which always sets up Sunny Day turn 1, so you can only give it one turn).

Q. Which mons are used for the mail glitch?
A. This took a bit to figure out. The gift Shuckle holds a Berry Juice, which is the item that is recycled. Snorlax is the fastest thing to get that learns Recycle, but requires a trip to the Move Relearner. A small detour is made to catch a Bellsprout/Weepinbell for Knock Off.

Q. How much time do the glitches save?
A. Not super sure, but likely around 50 minutes over glitchless?

Q. Goal time?
A. Sub-2:45, ideally I'd like to get a 2:42 or so
