  1. just gotta get that movie battles rocking again
  2. I need to figure out some system for people to voice what they want to play, and a system for organizing getting a time settled for everyone who wants to play
  3. WezYoToday at 4:25 PM
  4. as superbox gets bigger....
  5. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:25 PM
  6. It'd be nice if there was some bot or website for doing it
  7. WezYoToday at 4:25 PM
  8. Yeah I was just thinking of something like that, actually....
  9. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:26 PM
  10. If you got any ideas
  11. WezYoToday at 4:26 PM
  12. A daily voting bot that measures interest
  13. I mean, people would hate the notif
  14. But basically, every day a bot posts in some locked channel, like everybody-votes, and says "Are you interested in playing this game?" And lists a bunch of games we put in like ss13, movie battles, blops, etc
  15. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:26 PM
  16. The voting form I used for SBGR was decent for getting through a lot
  17. yeah but that only works if people vote blind wes
  18. you get the "oh I didn't vote for it because it was behind"
  19. WezYoToday at 4:27 PM
  20. hmm
  21. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:27 PM
  22. that I got from like 6 people once
  23. WezYoToday at 4:27 PM
  24. :joy:
  25. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:27 PM
  26. when I was surprised that TTT beat SS13
  27. and 6 people hadn't voted for ss13 because it was like 3 votes behind
  28. :NotLikeDuck:
  29. But like
  30. you can ask people how many people would be willing to play X games
  31. WezYoToday at 4:28 PM
  32. anything external, people aren't gonna vote for
  33. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:28 PM
  34. and when people can play
  35. but that doesn't handle what if a day is better for the people who voted on what we are playing
  36. I don't think it has to be a daily thing
  37. but a tool where I can collect ideas, we can have a vote on what games and when we are available, and it spits out games and times logically based on who voted for what and when
  38. WezYoToday at 4:29 PM
  39. I just think it would be cool to track superbox's game of the week over time, haha
  40. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:30 PM
  41. like imagine if SS13 and friday won, but half the people who voted SS13 didn't vote friday
  42. I want a system that handles that
  43. detects which games and times have the correct crossover
  44. You know what I mean?
  45. WezYoToday at 4:32 PM
  46. Yeah...
  47. Idk, that's a tricky thing. Only way to really do that is with a multi-part key
  48. but then how do you actually find out what to play when...
  49. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:34 PM
  50. I mean
  51. an automated system could do it
  52. basically I'd just do it like this
  53. 7-9PM friday sat sun
  54. mark what games you wanna play and which days you are free
  55. the system pulls up the totals for each individual timeslot of who is available then and had the game marked
  56. and sees which wins
  57. starts with whichever game has the highest total of the three days
  58. WezYoToday at 4:36 PM
  59. but something tells me this game wouldn't be used much... you'd prolly have to ping like @WeekendGames ALRIGHT TIME TO USE THE THINGER
  60. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:36 PM
  61. and eliminates it
  62. Yeah, exactly
  63. I'd start it like tuesday and run the results friday
  64. I'm fine if its manual like that
  65. but then with the elminiation it would mean that it wouldn't just be SS13 Friday SS13 Sat ss13 Sun
  66. WezYoToday at 4:37 PM
  67. right....
  68. AutomaticFrenzyToday at 4:37 PM
  69. I'm starting to see how this could work
  70. I might ask spac to make a simple web form on his site to handle this
