- Just another night at the Temple as the Devil was finishing up his daily cleaning duties. The Cool summer nights were a welcome after the dreadful afternoon sun beating down on the temple and its crew. Nori will need to organize something to keep his crew cool until the fall comes around. For now, The Devil was lighting the lanterns on the pathway, a sign that visitors are welcome until it become too late in the night to do so in which he would return to put them out. However, the path was a bit long so lighting the lanterns was a big task, not just getting halfway through.
- The Large Devil had all kinds of things going through his mind, mostly about the party and the hostess of it. It would seem that she employs humans as her workers, but were they free workers of slaves. He did notice the maid calling her owner mistress so maybe is servitude, then that wouldn't be so bad, but he can't help but wonder if the human was daring to threaten him when he was talking to that little vampire. But the Devils shrugs it away and resumes his duty of lighting the lanterns.

- Tossing and turning in her sleep due to the heat of the day made Kogasa sneak off on her own, and found herself a cool spot underneath a tree on a corner of the temple ground. It's not until much later, well after the sun has set, did Kogasa wake up. Rubbing her eyes and giving a yawn... Kogasa realize she didn't recognize the surrounding at all. In her sleepiness, Kogasa thought once again that she should be in her room, not in middle of nowhere. Grasping onto her umbrella, a bit fearfully and forcefully, Kogasa takes a few steps hesitantly, almost in panic.
- Thankfully, the lantern fire that started appearing and illuminating the pathway would guide Kogasa and tell her where exactly she is. Feeling a bit sheepish and a bit haunted, Kogasa walks quickly away from her sleeping spot, and onto the pathway, only to see Nori doing the daily cleaning tasks. "Ah, Nori. Good evening..." Kogasa says, somewhat sleepily still, her umbrella giving a loud, big yawn in her stead. Her silly panic seems mostly gone by this point, now that she sees someone that she recognizes. "Do you need some help with the lanterns?"
- --
- The very large Devil would tilt his hat back up, looking over at Kogasa and just giving her a silent nod to acknowledge her, then stops a moment as he gives the fear a bit of a sniff. "….Fear." He would say before he resumes his duty, then stop to look back at the Umbrella Youkai., looking at her for a moment .
- "…It isn't your duty. You're my guide and the temples friend. You don't need to needlessly work here." And the large devil continues, his tail swaying behind him as the pathway slowly becomes connected towards the human village.

- Having Nori finding out about her embarrassing empty-headedness is unappealing, but that's her own fault. Giving a somewhat sheepish grin to Nori, Kogasa merely follows behind the large Devil silently, observing his task as well as watching the swaying tail. Um, it's probably a bad idea to touch it? And isn't wanting to touch something swaying like that cat's habit?... Clearing up the random, confusing thought in her head, Kogasa keeps her hands on her umbrella instead, and turns her attention back to Nori's task. "Well, I don't want to be seen as too much of a loiter. It would be nice if I am given simple tasks to do..."
- --
- Touching a Devil's touch would be a very good sign or a very bad sign, and with Nori it would most likely be a bad sign as he has a natural hostility towards anything that does something he doesn't like. Except the temple crew who one knows better and second was told to behave for as a request from Hijiri during those times in Makai.
- Nori would stop for a moment, then looks back at Kogasa for a moment, then hold out his hand as if he expects her to give him the umbrella once more, in exchange he holds out the lighter for the lanterns. It was a normal thing for the two when Kogasa asks him of something, he would hold the umbrella like a form of insurance until the task was complete.
- --
- Nodding, handing Nori her umbrella which huffs and puffs a little, Kogasa looks at the lighter for a moment, trying to figure out how it works. As a karakasa youkai she's not one to play with fire, unless it's ghost fire - and litting the lantern with ghost fire is probably a sure sign to be scolded by someone, like Shou or Byakuren-sama. Shrugging, Kogasa would start lighting the lantern fires, following the path slowly. It's not that she has much to do in the evening, anyhow. Her umbrella, as per usual, gazes lazily around the place. It's probably a somewhat peaceful sight to observers, all in all.
- --
- The Devil would just follow after staring at the umbrella for a bit, then shouldering it like usual and following Kogasa. Despite what he looked like even the slow pace wasn't getting to him at all. In fact, the first lit one he helped Kogasa with since he has a hand free, making sure she didn't screw it up at first. When he ferlt she could, she let her flit the remaining own up until the end of the path that led into the human village. The man just stood there for a moment and nodded his head.* "They're lit…." Another pause before he would hold the umbrella back to Kogasa.* "…Thank you."
- --
- Handing the lighter back to Nori with a big grin on her face, Kogasa nods happily, as she takes the umbrella and lets it float nearby atop of her. Looking at the Human Village for a moment, Kogasa wonders to herself, if there will be any visitors today? ... Shrugging and turning her attention back to Nori, Kogasa gives a bit of stretch, "No, thank you - moving around a little bit like this really helps waking up, I think I feel slightly better now. And I am only too glad to be able to help you out on the temple duties... It makes me feel more like a part of the temple instead of just someone invited to live here." With that, Kogasa to look up into the starry night sky for a moment. "The night is young still, so I guess I wouldn't mind helping out with more things, or take a walk somewhere..."
- --
- A shrug just seem to come from the large Devil. It unsure if he's agreeing or even caring for Kogasa's train of through, but he douses the lighter out, now just leaving the lanterns to illuminate the pathways. The Devil seems to be looking to make sure all of them are light and not a single one has blow or gone out yet, probably should have done soon before putting the lighter out before relighting it isn't much of an issue for this windless dawn ending night.
- "Walk where?" The Devil would finally speak up and question Kogasa about her walk. He was unsure, but the only place he knew where to talk to was the village and that didn't sound like a good idea.

- "Even to the back of the temple, the graveyard, is fine... That is, anywhere is fine, even if it's a graveyard. I don't think Murasa or Nazrin is around today - aren't they out with Shou a lot lately?" And of course, Kogasa forgot the mention Ichirin, that poor girl. "Really, anything's fine, I trust your judgement in that, Nori." Ultimately and finally in peace with her surrounding, Kogasa's wanderlust kicks in, making her wanting to just get up and go somewhere... As always, though, Kogasa would just stay a bit behind Nori, as if following after him as much as walking beside him.
