>Rainbow couldn't believe it
>She stared at you with the same vacant expression
>Gilda on the other hand walked straight up to you

>You feel your face start to burn and turn away

>You felt her begin to stir
"And, um... that's why i invited you out tonight. I didn't know where else to go with you because i didn't know what you'd like. This way if you found out you didn't actually like me at least i could make this out to not be a date. Just another night out, with my best bro."
>Rainbow turned to look at you, tears welling in her eyes

>Rocking the carriage back and forth again with her hacking

>The two of you start laughing together and enjoy the show
>There was no kiss that night on the ferris wheel

>Still you guys kept having fun around the park until closing
>Rainbow's dad gave you two a ride home
>You didn't live too far from her place so when he asked for directions
"I'll just walk from here, thanks."

>"Rainbow get to bed soon alright?"
>"Sure, dad. Thanks."
>Left out on the porch in total privacy you suddenly found yourself at a loss for words
>The crickets were chirping all around you
>Somewhere far away a dog barked
>You and Rainbow just sort of stood there together in the dark
>The light inside had already gone out
>With nothing left to do you decide to go home
"Well, see ya."
>You turn and walk away

>You didn't even hit the sidewalk yet
