  1. >Rarity slaps your hand away from your face
  2. >"Darling stop that. You'll just open up the wound."
  3. "I can't help it, it's just so itchy."
  4. >The bandage under your eye was pulling the skin tightly over the cut
  5. >Your best buddy Rainbow Blitz gave it to you earlier in the ring
  6. >Who knew Blitz had such a killer left hook
  7. >Your mind idles away at the thought
  8. >"Darling!"
  9. >She slaps your hand again
  10. "Argh! I told you i can't help it!"
  11. >You two were standing outside the doors to Canterlot High waiting for Principal Molestia to let Blitz go
  12. >She had gotten into trouble earlier while defending you when the Dog boys jumped you
  13. >Something about stealing their rocks
  14. >Which you did
  15. >You tossed them in the garden for the lulz
  16. >But they totally started it...over the internet...on 4chan...at least you thought it was them
  17. >Everyone was wasting time in that computer class, honestly it could've been anyone
  18. >But not everyone spelled "Diamonds" with a capital Z at the end
  19. >It was nearing sunset, the sky had just adopted its calming amber hue before nightfall
  20. >The clouds on the horizon were beet red from the setting sun
  21. >It was summer though, there was at least another hour or so of daylight left
  22. >Which meant you three could handle a trip to the local Hay n Shake for some fries
  23. >Hay fries sucked but they were cheap, and you were broke and hungry
  24. "Everytime i put one of those things in my mouth i die a little inside."
  25. >"Oh come now they're good for you. Besides Blitz said you needed to lay off the greasy foods if you wanted to get fit."
  26. >You admitted you were soft and out of shape, but did that really merit punishing yourself so?
  27. >Your stomach groaned in hunger and protest
  28. "If that cunt doesn't get out here in five minutes or less I am going to-"
  29. >"You goin' to what fag?"
  30. "Eek!"
  31. >You jump a foot off the ground
  32. >"HA! Nice vertical leap nigger, but today's a cardio day. Unless you want to work your pecs, i think you'd look cute with a pair of boobs like Rarity's."
  33. >"Blitz!"
  34. >"Relax Rar's his won't be as big as yours but they look like they're on the right track."
  35. >Rainbow poked your chest
  36. >"Nice Gyno fag."
  37. "Hey, knock it off!"
  38. >You try to shove her hands away but all you manage to do is get your nipple twisted
  39. "AHH!!! That hurts you fucking whore!"
  40.
  41. >Rarity separates her hands from your manboobs
  42. >"Enough already, you already humiliated him enough in the ring with that same move."
  43. >You didn't want to talk about it
  44. >You just wanted to rub vaseline on your sore nipples
  45. >Rainbow's husky voice filled your ears
  46. >"Alright, alright. 'sides if we don't get moving Twilight will just order herself a hayburger special with extra ketchup."
  47. >"Oh, dear I do hope they're still serving non-pasteurized onion rinds."
  48. >You fell in step behind the two of them
  49. "I hate vegan food."
  50. >"Well to bad egghead you need to purge."
  51. "Yesterday i passed a log I swear Paul Bunyan cut down himself."
  52. >"Oh Anonymous please don't be so disgusting."
  53. >"Ha! You should've been there for my first time. I had like those weird bunny poops mixed with diarrhea."
  54. >Rarity visibly turned green.
  55. >"My ass was like a machine gun."
  56. >"Hurp."
  57. >Rarity ran ahead of you two and stopped after only a considerable distance
  58. >"I'm going ahead by myself, you two ought to be ashamed of yourselves! Exposing a lady to such foul imagery! I certainly hope you don't bring that kind of talk during our meal, not that I’ll be able to eat much anymore!"
  59. >Blitz smiled a wide shit eating grin
  60. >"LIKE A MACHINE GUN RARITY! IM PRETTY SURE I HEARD IT PLINK!"
  61. >Rarity gagged while she ran away
  62. >Blitz laughed like the idiot you thought he'd like you to think he was
  63. >"We should chase after her, maybe we can get her to lose her appetite completely."
  64. >She started jogging
  65. "Hey, wait!"
  66. >Rainbow stopped
  67. >A soft breeze blew through the trees lining the road as a car passed by
  68. >You noticed his pink eyes beaming in the sunlight
  69. >"What's up dork?"
  70. "Uhh...oh. I didn't get to say thanks, y'know for earlier?"
  71. >"You mean when i handed you your ass on a platter? No biggie."
  72. >She smugly rubbed her nose
  73. "No you idiot, i meant for rescuing my ass from those diamond dicks. And it was a draw damn it the bell rang."
  74. >"Yeah, after you hit the floor."
  75. >You let out a breath
  76. "Just pay attention already I’m trying to thank you."
  77. >"Alright already, keep it in your pants Anon."
  78. >Rainbow stretched her arms out to behind her head
  79. >"We're cool Anon, I mean it's not like you wouldn't have done the same for me."
  80. >You stand there in quiet meditation, hand on chin
  81. >Rainbow stares at you intently
  82. >"You would do the same for me. Right?"
  83. >After another moment's thought you speak
  84. "Well, yeah. Sure totally, as long it wasn't after another match like that."
  85. >"Why you-"
  86. >Rainbow rushes at you but you duck out the way
  87. >"Come here so i can pound you!"
  88. "Fuck you dude, catch me if you can!"
  89. >You start running down the road to the Hay n Shake
  90. >"When i get my hands on you, I'm going to rip your dick off and make you my bitch!
  91. >You respond in kind
  92. "Y-you too!"
  93.
  94.
  95.
  96. >You had a free period after lunch
  97. >Usually you used this time to reflect on your many many faults as a human being
  98. >The tree next to the baseball field offered you shade as you did so
  99. >Not this time though
  100. >Today you had to gather yourself after Gilda put the hurt on you
  101. >Fucking bitch twisted your arm for no good reason besides you were the only one around
  102. >Thankfully the Kwik-E-Mart served slushies in your favorite flavor
  103. >Blue
  104. >The flavor didn't matter though, you just wanted to ice your shoulder
  105. >Bags of ice were cheaper but had no syrup to make'em taste good
  106. >You breathe as you step back inside the building for your next class before the day's end
  107. >There was a rattling on the lockers up ahead
  108. >Whoever was getting beat up wouldn't get your sympathy
  109. >As you round the corner you spot Blitz and Gilda wrestling back and forth
  110. >"You're not saying anything birdbrain!"
  111. >"Try and stop me Rainbow Dork!"
  112. >Gilda caught Blitz in a headlock and began punching his stomach
  113. >As soon as your shoulder felt better you decided to intervene
  114. "So, uh, what's goin' on?"
  115. >Gilda had her back turned to you with Rainbow under her arm
  116. >"Was that anon?"
  117. >"I don't know, let me see."
  118. >Gilda pulled Blitz's head as she turned
  119. >Rainbow's eyes grew wide
  120. >"Oh, hhheeeyyyy 'non. Let me go you amazon."
  121. >Gilda smirked but loosened her grip soon after
  122. "I thought you guys were best buds or something? What's up with the fists?"
  123. >Rainbow shot a dirty look at Gilda who just kept smirking
  124. >"I'll tell you what's up anon."
  125. >"No, you won't."
  126. >"My fee?"
  127. >Gilda stretched out her hand
  128. >Rainbow batted it away
  129. >"Get bent!"
  130. >"Well when you put it that way..."
  131. >"No!"
  132. >"You had your chance! Anon get ready."
  133. >Rainbow tried to tackle her again but Gilda was ready
  134. >She caught him and wrapped him in a bear hug nearly lifting him up off the ground
  135. >"Last chance dweeb."
  136. >She said with the same mocking smile
  137. >"No."
  138. >Rainbow sounded almost defeated
  139. >Whatever it was would probably sound good with a mouthful of artificial flavoring
  140. >You put the straw in your mouth as Gilda turns to you
  141. >"Get ready to for this Anon. You're best friend Rainbow Blitz here..."
  142. >Rainbow starts struggling again to no avail
  143. >"...IS A GIRL!"
  144. >Rainbow breaks free from her grasp and stumbles forward a bit
  145. >She looks at you with fear and desperation in her eyes
  146. >The questions she must think are passing through your head right now, or aren't
  147. >The shock and confusion you must feel would be evident
  148. >You stop sipping cause your mouth is full
  149. "Yeah, I know."
  150. >Neither Gilda or Rainbow made a move
  151. >You just kept going
  152. >"Oh, I knew. I've been knowing since the longest."
  153. >Gilda finally came back down to earth
  154. >Her smirk fading into a twitchy smile
  155. >"Huh? I mean, since when?"
  156. "Ever since we met."
  157. >This time it was Rainbow
  158. >"Wh-What? How?"
  159. >You sipped again and held up a finger, you drank all the melted stuff and were forcing your way through crushed ice
  160. >Instead of replying you tilt your head back at an awkward angle and point at your neck
  161. "Nyoh, Adam's Abble."
  162. >You watch as both of them touch their own necks
  163. >Rainbow's eyes go wide at her own realization
  164. >Gilda snarls
  165. >"What!? So you knew this whole Goddamn time?! Why didn't you ever say anything!?"
  166. >Funny as how you expected that from Rainbow instead
  167. >Rainbow just looked at you with the same hopeless expression
  168. >You shrug
  169. "Never came up."
  170.
  171.
  172. >Rainbow couldn't believe it
  173. >She stared at you with the same vacant expression
  174. >Gilda on the other hand walked straight up to you
  175. >Staring down at you the pale haired giantess folds her arms menacingly
  176. >"Bet you didn't know she likes you too."
  177. >You stare back at her
  178. "Um, kinda knew that too. Sorry."
  179. >Gilda frowns and punches your arm, hard
  180. >"If you knew why didn't you say anything you fucking nerd!?"
  181. >You rub your sore arm as she walks by
  182. >She stops abruptly and you feel your ass clench in her vice-like grip
  183. >You squeeze the styrofoam cup in surprise, breaking it open
  184. >"That's all i really wanted anyway."
  185. >She continues on her way
  186. >"Nice ass."
  187. >You feel the cold trickle of ice and sugar run down your sleeve
  188. >That wasn't what bothered you though
  189. >Rainbow is still just staring at you
  190. >You begin to blush as the realization hits you
  191. >Rainbow was always real chummy with you
  192. >But you couldn't say anything to her without revealing her true identity, and you weren't sure she'd appreciate that either
  193. >Standing in the middle of the hallway as the bell rings you are soon engulfed by the students
  194. >You lose sight of her quickly amidst the flood of teens
  195. >"Watch it asshole! Clean that shit up!"
  196. >Someone yells at you and your broken slushie cup
  197. >You toss it in the trash as you head for chemistry
  198.
  199. >Filly Funtasia, Equestria's own Coney Island
  200. >Making its permanent home on the pier next to the sea it had a little of everything
  201. >Little shops and stalls lined the wharf next to the beach
  202. >The pier itself held the biggest attractions including bumper cars, haunted houses and even a tilt-a-whirl
  203. >It's ferris wheel was the main attraction though
  204. >At night it would light up and blink like an imitation christmas tree in the middle of July
  205. >Many summer time memories were made on and around it
  206. >Especially when the fireworks went up
  207. >You're just outside the gate trying to hide a lit cigarette from the adults
  208. >The plan had been to meet up in a neutral location to avoid any spaghetti incidents
  209. >Two weeks had passed since the bomb dropped and failed to blow
  210. >Rainbow didn't speak to you after that
  211. >At least not until you took the initiative
  212. >It was clear you two had a thing for each other but were either too shy or too embarrassed to say anything
  213. >You were the shy one
  214. >You couldn't look her in the eye either
  215. >Now that the cat was out of the bag your fear of speaking to girls you liked came crawling back
  216. >Blitz was your bro this whole time
  217. >Dash on the other hand was the 'girl next door'
  218. >What could you say to her that didn't sound like a 12 yo pleading for attention?
  219. >You bite down on the cotton as you pull out your phone to check the time
  220. >Almost 8:30, the sun had already set
  221.
  222. >Summer wasn't any closer, even with graduation around the corner
  223. >You lean back and take one last drag before flicking it into the bushes
  224. >Choosing this place for a date was nothing short of a stroke of genius
  225. >Movie and a dinner of burgers wasn't exactly romantic
  226. >Neither was a basketball game taking place close by
  227. >That was too buddy buddy
  228. >You wanted to show her you still thought of her as the same person you always have
  229. >But you also wanted to make a move and hopefully start something resembling a relationship
  230. >Enter Filly Funtasia, "Where Dreams and Memories come together."
  231. >Rainbow already liked you, and you liked her, and you both knew that
  232. >You didn't want to just come together like that though
  233. >You didn't want to be another couple to talk about
  234. >Rainbow pretended to be a guy for a reason, and you wanted to support her but at the same time you wanted something real
  235. >"Hey anon."
  236. >She walked up to you wearing the same duds as always
  237. >You told her she didn't need to dress up
  238. "Oh hey, it's the man of the hour."
  239. >She looked uneasy
  240. "What do you say we get a corndog?"
  241.
  242. >The rest of the night was spent mainly with you dragging Rainbow from one attraction to the next
  243. >You even spent a twenty minutes and a fair amount of change trying to win her a stuffed animal at a ring toss
  244. >"C'mon dude. You don't have to."
  245. "No, I NEED to. It's about principal now damn it."
  246. >The carnie felt sorry enough to give you a consolation prize, and a weird look when you gave the stuffed piggy to your bro
  247. "Liven up fucker, geez."
  248. >Rainbow did just that
  249. >For a second you saw the familiar fire in her eyes before she would whoop your ass at anything
  250. >"Alright then, let's go in there."
  251. >She pointed towards the haunted house
  252. >You hated the haunted house
  253. >"Unless you're a pussy."
  254. >She gave you that shit eating grin
  255. "Fuck you dude. I ain't scared o' nothin."
  256. >There was a tremor in your voice
  257.
  258. >Five minutes later you were latched onto her arm as a wax vampire threatened to suck your "Vlood"
  259. >Outside she dragged your bitch ass over to the tilt-a-whirl
  260. >She didn't even give you a chance to catch your breath
  261. >It was okay though, you had plenty of time to do so while you waited in line
  262. >Of course after two minutes in a blender it all left your body
  263. >Ten seconds after that so did your corndog
  264. >You usually made it a note to avoid these kinds of rides
  265. >Apparently feeling sorry for you Rainbow helped you get your head out of the garbage
  266. >"You're tougher than i thought Anon, so what next Bumper Cars? Obstacle course? I heard they just set up the sling shot."
  267. >Your stomach turned as you heard the faint screaming
  268. "I think i just need a little air first."
  269. >She stands in front of you as take a seat on the bench
  270. >Rainbow bonked you on the head with the pig
  271. >"Come on, you got at least one more in ya."
  272. >Looking up at her smiling face renewed your faith and behind her you found the perfect ride to go to next
  273. >Rainbow carried your weight on your way over to the ferris wheel
  274. >A real bro, she only stopped once for cotton candy and popcorn
  275. >She even paid for it
  276. >With your money
  277. >Cause you were too dizzy to count it
  278. >What a pal
  279. >"Here you carry the candy. It's soft and...well, uh, just soft. Like you. Dork."
  280. >You took it in hand and bit into it
  281. >The sugar helped calm your stomach
  282. "What are we waiting for?"
  283. >Another time skip to a few minutes later
  284. >The wheel suddenly stopped turning
  285. >You're sure the twenty bucks you slipped the operator couldn't have had anything to do with it
  286. "Oh well, guess we're stuck up here at the tippy top. May as well enjoy the fireworks right?"
  287. >"Anon?"
  288. "Yeah?"
  289. >"Why are you doing this?"
  290. "What do you mean?"
  291. >"All of this. You're not just playing some mean joke on me, are you?"
  292. >Dafuq?
  293. >Who'd do such a thing?
  294. "What? No. Why would you even ask that?"
  295. >She shrugged
  296. >"I don't know. I guess because, you've always known i was girl but never said anything about it."
  297. "That's just because i couldn't...i mean..."
  298. >She scoffed
  299. >"You don't have to say it. You're just trying to make me feel better."
  300. "Feel better? About what?"
  301. >She shook her head
  302. >"With Gilda. She just unloaded everything on you. I didn't want you to know that i, y'know."
  303. >Rainbow retreated into her side of the carriage, hugging the little pig
  304. >She practically turned her whole body away from you
  305. "Rainbow, Dash? Blitz? It doesn't matter, i hung out with you because i liked you."
  306. >You swallow hard
  307. >"And i liked you even better because you weren't like other girls. You weren't this whiny, screechy, precious little wallflower that needed protection all the time. You were just you, and that's why i liked you..."
  308. >You feel your face start to burn and turn away
  309. "Um, still like you."
  310. >You felt her begin to stir
  311. "And, um... that's why i invited you out tonight. I didn't know where else to go with you because i didn't know what you'd like. This way if you found out you didn't actually like me at least i could make this out to not be a date. Just another night out, with my best bro."
  312. >Rainbow turned to look at you, tears welling in her eyes
  313. >"Oh anon."
  314. >She sniffed and smiled at you
  315. >"I-"
  316. >A junebug flew into your face
  317. "HOLY SHIT!!!"
  318. >You start waving your hands around at the thing
  319. >BZZZT
  320. >BZZZT
  321. >BZZZT
  322. >"Anon stop!"
  323. >Your flailing was causing the carriage to rock back and forth uncontrollably
  324. >You didn't stop until you dropped the cotton candy
  325. "Fuck!"
  326. >"NO ROCKING!"
  327. >A disembodied voice scolded you
  328. >You held on to the rail for dear life and pushed yourself back into the seat
  329. "Sorry!"
  330. >You said once the rocking stopped
  331. >"What the hell was that?"
  332. "Oh, um. It-bug."
  333. >Rainbow looks at you like your crazy before cracking a smile
  334. >"You're such an idiot."
  335. >She breaks into a giggle
  336. >You stare at her in disbelief
  337. >She had a cute smile
  338. >Rainbow blushes as you look at her
  339. >You missed the first bit of sky candy because of her
  340. >It didn't matter you two were leaning in
  341. >All the different colors just made her look prettier
  342. >This time it flew into her mouth
  343. >She spat profusely into your face
  344. >Rocking the carriage back and forth again with her hacking
  345. >"WHAT DID I JUST SAY!"
  346. >"ACK!"
  347. >You hold onto her arm as she wipes her mouth clean
  348. >"What the fuck!"
  349. "I don't know dude.
  350. >You lower your grasp to her hand
  351. “But that was pretty fucking funny."
  352. >The two of you start laughing together and enjoy the show
  353. >There was no kiss that night on the ferris wheel
  354. >Rainbow attributed it to you 'barf breath'
  355. >You couldn't argue with that
  356. >Still you guys kept having fun around the park until closing
  357. >Rainbow's dad gave you two a ride home
  358. >You didn't live too far from her place so when he asked for directions
  359. "I'll just walk from here, thanks."
  360. >He nodded at you
  361. >"Rainbow get to bed soon alright?"
  362. >"Sure, dad. Thanks."
  363. >Left out on the porch in total privacy you suddenly found yourself at a loss for words
  364. >The crickets were chirping all around you
  365. >Somewhere far away a dog barked
  366. >You and Rainbow just sort of stood there together in the dark
  367. >The light inside had already gone out
  368. >With nothing left to do you decide to go home
  369. "Well, see ya."
  370. >You turn and walk away
  371. >"Hey, anon."
  372. >You didn't even hit the sidewalk yet
  373. "Yeah?"
  374. >"It's just, it's kind of late."
  375. >She opened the door and leaned on it
  376. >"Do you...wanna stay the night?"
