- Knowledge. (Here in my Garage)
- It's been three months since he had the inspriational speech from that one sarradian boy. One who seemed to look at things on the postive spectrum of life. Not dwelling on the negative or going towards that direction. That being said. Kyo tried to do that himself. To bring about the positive things in life and not look at things in such a hard way. What he honestly needed to do. Was get some answers, and the only way how?
- Was to ask some people.
- Butt. Kyo knew better than that. By judging how the two people were going on about their situations. About how Alia became a pureblood through some kind of different way. Where as Ladon was a bad father. The young Drakanite took it upon himself to actually go out and find these answers on his own. Surly, he wouldn't want to bring up these questions up to either party as he knew that it was probably a highly touchy subject. So he left those things alone. Preferably, he went on to search it up on his own. Which means.
- Books!
- Yes! The one thing that he dreaded when he was young! Thank goodness that his parents had taught him something before they were forced to leave the country. It wasn't as if they died. . . or did they?
- Shaking his head. Kyo tried to maintain positive thoughts. Clearing his head about thinking how his parents had abandoned him and left him in this forsaken country where his kind is reaching extinct. People criticize his god and call him dead or weak, and his own kind fighting amongst each other. It was just all so terrible. But he was going to fix that right? There had to be a way right? There just had to be! There's no way for things to stay the same. If anything, he was going to help bring his race together. Unite it once more. Only then would Dragon's Peak be able to live again. Maybe even revert back to the name that people once called it.
- FrostVille? FrostVeil? It was something like that.
- Anyway, Walking straight into the orphanage. He was welcomed once more as if it was his home. Which was something that he appreciated. The people here cared for him as if he was their own. Orphans were common now-a-days, but that didn't stop more from comming in. That being said, it wasn't a daily routine. If anything. It was about the same. Some new kids would come in every other month, week or by the day. Where as some times, no new kids would come in. Which that being said. Is probably the best thing. Cause even now. He hated to admit it. But he missed his parents. He truly did.
- Shaking his head once more. He stared up straight. Rubbing away any tears that would come from his eyes. It was time to get to business. Not cry.
- Walking towards the book shelf. Kyo stared at the immeanse list of titles that held it's place upon each shelf. What was this? Frowning, he felt quite overwhelmed. But he could do this right? If he didn't. Who would?
- Ballin up his fist, he breathed in deeply. Before letting it out. Staring up at the limitless books that stretched across the shelfs. He tried his best to find anything that popped out
- DRAKANITE
- Or anything that dealt with.
- PUREBLOOD
- (Kyo Kamikaze)
- The Search!
- Scanning the book shelf. Kyo saw titles that he didn't even understand. Runes. Howl One. Ookami. Kraus. Alchemy?
- The list went on. But that being said. Kyo had alot of titles to read and alot of staring to do. So he got to work. Scanning down the isles of books. He finally found one that was pretty thick and was placed at the middle shelf all the way to the right. Talk about being right infront of you...... Just all the way to the right though.
- It looked like a oldish book. One that was covered with dust as it seemed to be aged. Just what kind of knowledge was he looking for? Frowning, he still went at it. The title read.
- Drakanites
- Still holding his upside down smile. He reached forward and grabbed at it with one hand. But felt it being to complicated to actually pull out. So instead. He reached out with his other hand and gripped the top. Prying it out from the shelves death grip. Causing him to tumble backwards as the dusty aged book landed flat on the ground above him. Emitting a loud clap as it hit the wood tile floors.
- "Owww...." Kyo groaned as he remained there on the ground for a few minutes before coming around to find his way up. But just as he stood up. There would be one of the Oprhanage workers who came up to him with a worried expression. Asking him if he was okay and then telling him that the next time he wants something that he could just ask. Telling him that she didn't want him to get hurt. Which actually kind of hit him in his soft spot. Making him feel as if he had an actual emotional connection to this person.
- Turning away embarrased as he didn't want his emotions to show. Kyo replied with. "I-I'm okay..... Thanks for asking but I'm a grown boy! Thanks for your help but grown boys don't need help with books!" he said. Clearly going against everything he actually needed. But the Orphanage worker smiled as if she understood and acknowledged his attempt to become independant. So she went on her way and left him there with his book.
- Frowning, he looked towards his book. It was time to get cracking!
- Smiling, he tried to confort himself that he was going to read in more about his race. To figure out what exactly Ladon and Alia were talking about. Plus. Just to learn stuff..... Hopefully.
- Whipping off the dust from the cover. He could see that the author was someone by the name of 'Lyra Thorne.' Flipping up the book to it's first page. He began to start scanning through the book. Trying to find something that actually popped out at him first. But what exactly could that be? Maybe something about purebloods? Maybe something about Ryujiin still being alive! He had to find out more.
- Scanning through the book. He had at first saw something about Drakanites being a clan of humans. Not much of a race he thought at first. But then it came to be that they had some kind of spirit tie with the dragon race? So maybe it was a race?
- Going on, he'd notice that the book stated that Drakanites have the power to take on the form of the great beasts. Which made him question. What are the great beasts? Continuing on, he'd skip the part about the Drakanite's physical traits since it really didn't interest them. So going on past that. Kyo found a POPPING word.
- Dragon Shift
- Eyes widening. He leaned in closer to the book as he crossed his legs and placed the book in his lap instead of holding it in the air.
- "Something mention. 'Dragon Shift' is the most well known power of Drakanites... Oooooh! There are several others that they can use to their advantage? What does that mean?" he questioned as he looked further into the book. Being more interested than before.
- "Different forms of dragon that one can take on?" he continued to read outloud.
- "'Basic' Dragon? Common. Shifts. First Drakanites will achieve. Form green scales, matching average dragon" He read on.
- "Omega Dragon. Rarer! Considered far sup-.....sup...superior? to its basica cou-...count----count-er....part? In terms of strength and magical power. Wow.... Red scales mark this shift as belon- Aghhhh.. Something to the elitle amo-something Drakanites!" he muttered as he struggled with the words.
- "Gaining ability to comm-...commun-..... icate? not only with dragons, but other humans whil-. . . W-H-I-L-S-T. Transformed through a sort of ...... T-E-L-E-P-A-T-H-Y. Eehh alot of other words I don't know." he continued on.
- He started to read in his head now since he felt rather awkward to read a book and struggle with the words from within.
- Searching through, it seemed that there was something to do with natural and fire, then something to do with A-D-V-A-N-C-E-D magic. Whatever that was. Then there came something about survive in climates that would easily kill a normal human. Which was confusing cause he didn't know what a climate was.
- Then there was something interesting. Something about magical power. Hmm...... Magical power from the scales E-M-B-E-D-D-E-D in their bodies? what did that mean? Scales in our bodies? Curious, Kyo let go of the book as it rested in his lap to look at his arms to see if he could find any scales. Which to his luck. He didn't see a thing but his original skin complexion.
- "Liar" he muttered out at the book as he picked it up and continued to read. Scales could be found....... around their bones? "Oooh!" he remarked as he realized that he couldn't see it because it was by his bones! That made sense. "Sorry book, you are not a liar." he mentioned as he looked on to which he found nothing else that interested him.
- Hmm..... I did learn alot today.
- Closing the book. He stood up and turned to the book shelf. There he raised the book and inserted it back into the shelf where it belonged.
- "Magical element? Scales? Fire?....." he said softly. But then remembered that Fire was something that dragons were obivously used to right? Which made him wonder. If he was going to change how people look upon Drakanites. He couldn't do something as basic as that. He had to switch things up. Try something else. Something different. So something that was different than something is the opposite right? Frowning even more. He tried to think of something that was opposite of Fire. Which reminded him what Ike had told him. Something about water!
- Smiling as he came to a conclusion. He got happen and satisfied about it. But then again. Water was also basic, but different. So it brought up the question. What was something that was better than water. But had it's properities? Frowning. Kyo thought about this as it was a big obstacle in his way now.
- But suddenly. Within seconds. He thought of Dragons Peak. A place filled with snow and ice. Which then brought his answers!
- "SNOW!" he exclaimed. But then he thought about it. What was snow going to do? So then he shouted out his new answer.
- "Ice"
