  1. Jump #422: Ah! My Goddess
  2. >King of Swords, reversed: One who, like a great tyrant, inspires not love or devotion, but fear, respect, and obedience.
  3. >Age: 21
  4. >Location: Somewhere on Earth
  5. It doesn't matter where, because I can get anywhere whenever I wish.
  6. >Identity: Provisional God
  7. >Heavenly Voice (Free, Provisional)
  8. If the universe is made of strings, then I should have the kind of voice that works to accompany such an instrument.
  9. >The Future Foundation (900, Provisional)
  10. I mean, I kind of already had this already, but having it spelled out so well and making it this quick is quite handy.
  11. >A Pure Soul (700, Provisional)
  12. Someone mentioned something about corruption earlier if memory serves. Even if corrupted, the corruption is so hilariously minor that I might... leave gum wrappers on the ground! Mwa. Ha. Ha. The boost to magic is a plus, too.
  13. >God of War: First Class, Category Two, Unlimited (400, Provisional)
  14. Nice to know I've gotten a promotion. I really don't intend to use this here, though.
  15. >Beautiful Impossibilities (Free, Provisional)
  16. >Divine Weapon (300, Provisional)
  17. Once again, importing the White Blade that had once been the Necrosword. Sure it's already immune to being damaged, but to use it as a spell focus? I have to wonder if it's becoming part of the Gauntlet, at this point...
  18. >Yggdrasil Loom Remote Access Node (0, Provisional)
  19. Sure, I can only make minor edits to reality, but this is a quick and dirty interface that doesn't take as much time and effort as I have to expend for other things. Plus, getting to fire Gungnir is FUN! The bang from a nine dimensional friendship cannon would most certainly make Nanoha happy in the pants.
  20.
  21. Essentially, if I'm reading how reality works here properly... the broad strokes are the same as everywher else. We've got the usual pattern of the universe, in that it's a higher-dimensional thing projected onto a lower-dimensional surface. Like certain theories go, the holographic principle fits - three spatial dimensions, one temporal dimension, all basically existing within a higher-dimensional framework. Here, though, there are means that permit other entities to manipulate it as long as they're outside the system, with the right tools, if they are very careful. And if they pluck the wrong string the wrong way it will snap and cause a nice false vacuum collapse because they broke physics, or rather, the universal superstring. After all, everything's just a bunch of strings vibrating, and the universe is a heck of an instrument.
  22.
  23. I've spent the last fifty thousand years learning to play variations of this instrument, and the only formal instruction I've gotten on the subject came from Zelretch.
  24.
  25. So! Let's get into the meat of it: I'm not going to get involved in the main plot. Not. At. All. Not even a little bit, unless something goes off the rails. There's way too much at stake and things are way too close, I don't want to interfere and risk destroying the local universe.
  26.
  27. After the greater bit of things settles, I might make a study of how their system works with reality. Like I said earlier, I've got tens of thousands of years of studying the underlying fabric of universes, and while this universe is no different... Yggdrasil is simply fascinating in how it works, and ten years is barely enough to get the general gist of all its functions, even with as many learning perks as I have.
  28.
  29. Some people have vacation jumps. I have study jumps, apparently. Gaia said she's bored, but apparently she went and visited Heaven, the locals there are nice.
  30.
  31. Wait. If Heaven is a pocket dimension, is there even an afterlife here? Hm, well. That's quite an oversight.
