  1. Jyrreif Yzh-Velk
  2.
  3. Female Orc paladin
  4.
  5. Orphaned as an infant, this young orc was adopted and raised by a group of benevolent followers of Stendarr. With no memory of events prior to her adoption, and no indications as to her origins, she was given the Nordic name Jyrreif by her caretakers, who raised her as they would any other child: under the merciful protection of their chosen divine. As a result, Jyrreif was instilled from an early age with the virtues of compassion and mercy one might expect from an adherent of Stendarr, which, when combined with her uncanny affinity for healing magicks, would have made her an excellent cleric, were it not for the occasional frenzy of uncontrollable anger.
  6.
  7. Perhaps stemming from events related to her lost heritage, or rather something else entirely, it is this rage which made Jyrreif so admired by her peers. Even when pitted in friendly combat against comrades twice her size, she often emerged triumphant, somehow able to draw on unseen strength from deep within. Although interpreted by others as a sign of her unwavering piety towards Stendarr, Jyrreif, more than any other, understood her capacity to lose control, and became fearful over her inability to direct the inevitable harm away from her allies once placed in real combat. Thus, she discreetly departed the order of Stendarr shortly before she was due to begin training as a Vigilant, carrying with her little more than the name and teachings with which she had been imparted.
  8.
  9. Still intent on promoting the Vigil’s righteous goals in her own ways, Jyrreif seeks to hone her skills as both a healer and a warrior while learning to more properly control and channel her fury, aspiring to become, in her own eyes, the paragon of justice which others believed she could be.
