Who Am I?

I am a 21 year old maker with an unending passion for fabrication technology and manufacturing. I prefer to go by the name “Fractal” as I have for the last 7 years.

Data Entry at Walgreens CPO (Orlando, FL)- Early September 2018 through Late November 2018

My objectives as a Data Entrist at Walgreens included:

> Being able to extrapolate from as little information as possible as quickly as possible without any room for guessing, and being able to determine when a prescription does not have enough information to enter it into the system.

Hobbyist electronics since I was 12 (2009) including attempts to build a Tesla Coil at age 13 and plasma speaker at age 14. I have video proof of this if need be.


Related strengths:

I am a very, very fast and effective problem solver, especially when it comes to solving puzzles in the most efficient way possible.

I am well known for solving problems from angles people have never thought to look in. I have been praised for my creativity in problem solving.

I have great spatial awareness and am exceptionally great at visually manipulating shapes to fit them in the most efficient way possible, without needing to touch anything physical.

I have an intense passion for manufacturing and being hands on. This job will hardly feel like work to me because I adore using my hands to make things.

I am highly self-competitive and always strive to do as best as I can. I sometimes put excruciating levels of details in my 3D models simply because I want to challenge myself.

If I get this job, I'd essentially get paid to do what I love. I have an intense passion for manufacturing and I always have. My favorite TV show when I was 10 was “How It's Made.”

Related weaknesses:

Due to ADHD, I am unable to perform one single (particularly repetitive) task for lengthy periods of time. I'm best suited for a position where I am assigned to a number of tasks of varying forms. I enjoy having a job that mixes things up to help me stay focused.

In related reason, I am unable to sit still for long periods of time. I need to constantly be fiddling with something, or getting up and moving at least once per hour if I'm not using my hands.

I am sometimes nitpicky to a fault. I will often more often than I need to in order to make it perfect. This often leads to me not completing certain personal projects. Of course, in a job environment this may pose an issue with deadlines rather than completion. With guidance I will be able to know how much is enough.

My biggest weakness is that I sometimes have unpredictable mental health issues that can cause severe depression at times; however, I tend to mediate said depression by spending time with my 3D printers, as working with machinery always cheers me up. Such should not interfere with my ability to perform job tasks much. It is necessary I declare this as a potential weakness beforehand so that there are no surprises.
