ELLIOT RECOLLE STUFF

BACKGROUND
- Elliot is 19 as of 6/25/18. Born and raised in Queens, NYC.

- His dad was a military officer (notably NOT Olaf) - kinda like a Steve Rogers type. Very talented, very good towards his men, good father. Honestly just a great guy.

- Mom was a professional pianist. She was from a big family (the fairweathers) in a small farming community but moved to NYC at some point to make a career. She was also a musical genius and became decently well known in the local music circuit - but didn't become a superstar because she wanted to be there for her kids.

- Elliot has a big brother named Carlos whose 10 years older (it was originally Carlos from Zero Time Dilemma). Carlos is *very* much like his dad, except he decided to become a firefighter. Heroic, overly selfless guy who dotes on Elliot like crazy.

- Extended family wise, the Craig family is NYC local and is full of military and police officers. Very much about honor and duty. All of them are really tall.

- The Fairweathers are more of a mix, most of them live in the farming community but several have moved to Recolle (like Natalia still in the game). The Fairweathers dote on Elliot like he's the baby.

- Carlos became a firefighter when Elliot was 8. And because irony is a thing, not long afterwards, they had an apartment fire. Carlos was able to save Elliot, but their parents died. It's unknown what caused the fire.

- After that, Elliot and Carlos were sent to live with an aunt and uncle. Carlos, feeling guilty for being unable to save their parents, became even MORE doting and protective of Elliot.

- Elliot's Aunt and Uncle were good people, but had pretty narrow minded ideas about Honor, Duty and how Craigs should live. They were fine with Elliot playing music as a hobby, but they'd routinely push him towards joining the army or the police despite it being very clear Elliot was not suited for it. Carlos would often get into fights over this, which would make Elliot feel even worse. Eventually they came to an uneasy truce, and Carlos moved to Recolle when Elliot was 11 because of a job opportunity. Carlos and Elliot would keep in touch, and Carlos would regularly wire money back.

- His Aunt and Uncle stopped being so blantant, there'd be subtle attempts: idle remarks over the dinner table, pointed suggestions, insistence that Elliot's stance was "just a phase". They would have money to pay for any programs or classes related to police or military work if Elliot wanted to enroll. But any music-related ones were "too expensive". Nothing overt, but Elliot could read between the lines.

- Elliot wasn't strong-willed enough to confront his family directly, so he'd try to compromise. One such attempt he was sent to a summer military youth camp when he was 14. Being unhappy there, he tried to befriend someone who was his opposite in attitude - which was Eren Jaeger. Eren was quick to pick up on Elliot's unhappiness, and encouraged him to pursue music because FREEDOM and all that. they became fast friends and kept in touch online after camp was over as BEST FRIENDS.

- After that, he started to use the money Carlos wired him to pay for music lessons and equipment. He took up street performing and got invovled in band at school. He still did stuff to try to please his aunt and uncle, but on the side he tried harder to pursue music.

- Come college time, Elliot got accepted into several music schools including Julliard. But his grades weren't good enough for scholarships and his family refused to pay for an all-out music school. So he enrolled at Recolle U half as a compromise and half as an attempt to escape to where his brother and best friend was.

- Lives in Recolle now with Akira, Yusuke and Koga. He started dating Eren about a month after he moved to the city.


RANDOM THINGS

- Skipped prom so he could play online games with Eren. Hahaha friends are great right hahahaa.

- He'd play MMOs as a way to keep in touch with Eren. He'd roll as a healer while Eren would be tank/DPS. this means they were able to get into a lot of random groups quickly, but would often get kicked because Eren is Eren and would get into fights with any jerks.

- Other than MMOs, his favorite game is Journey because it's a beautiful musical wonder. He doesn't really get into long video games, as he much rather spend that time playing music.

- Instead of operas Elliot loves musicals. His absolute favorite is Hamilton. He's an embarrasing fanboy about it.

- He cooks as a hobby separate from music. He's self-taught because Auntie and Uncle's cooking tasted like military cooking. He decided to learn how so he could get a decent meal in him, and found that he actually enjoys it.

- His phone is FULL of music. He'll occasionally download a trendy app game, trying it for a week or two, and then delete it because he found more music to listen to.

- He has photo albums for each of the important people in his life. His family, Eren, his roomates, his friends, his violins - the things that matter.

- Akira plays cello so Elliot and him regularly have jam sessions. They are constantly trying to convince Yusuke (who has a great singing voice) and Koga (who plays guitar) to join them. Other people, including Rean, will also fall victim to this.

- He volunteers at Recolle Volunteer Association (ReVA), which does odd jobs for the community. For money, he works as a street performer and will probably soon start doing private music lessons.

- Does not own a car, but can drive. He's a safe driver, but likes to go fast sometimes (VROOM VROOM).

- Owns two lovebirds named Cavatina and Cabaletta. They were a gift for his 19th birthday so I don't have set personalities for them yet.

- Has seen all the transformers movies thanks to Eren. Cannot tell any of them apart and tends to fall asleep halfway through.

- Favorite foods are fruits, eggs, tomatoes. Fruit Parfait is his favorite dessert. He dislikes steak.
