How to craft +3 Vicous Proj Bow

HOW TO CRAFT +3 Bow (w/ Vicious Projectiles)
(If you are playing TR note that quill rain might feel better for general mapping dude to the high attack and proj speed, you only really need this extra dmg for guardians/shaper/elder and equivalent bosses and delve 300+)

What do you need?
ilvl 82 Elder Bow Preferably. 82 Gives you +1 Arrow and the highest tier AoE without adding more mods that you do not care about!
(You can go with anything 80+ but it's suboptimal)

Get the highest Attack speed base you can. IE. Thicket(is good for mana leech)/Grove/Short(lowest req) bow for higest DPS! (Yes you can go with maraketh bows but they have 1.4 APS vs 1.5 APS

Prepare it with a perfect fossil (up to 30% quality) for easier sockets and linking.

"Cannot roll attack mods" (Catarina 8)

Avg alterations: I don't have an exact number but I suspect 5k Alterations on avg. 100+ regals & scourings

STEP 1:

Get +2 to Level of Bow Gems OR Vicious Projectiles
Augment for any Suffix

STEP2:

Regal!
The regal must hit +2 Bow or Vicious Proj. Depeding on what you didn't get with alterations.

Now you have a bow with:

+2 level of bow skills
Level 16-20 Vicious Proj (it's up to you if you want to be a perfectionist but I recommmend keeping even the lvl16 roll as these are very hard to hit.)
Any Suffix

STEP3a:
(The more expensive route but can yield a better outcome) (3ex)

Master craft any prefix onto the bow.

Exalt (ONLY ONCE!)

We want it to NOT hit a low attack speed roll, but rather either a high one (if you didnt already get lucky on the first suffix) or any of the good suffixes such as +1 arrow, culling strike, Area of Effect%, even proj speed is nice.

Now remove the crafted prefix, then craft "Cannot roll attack mods" This guarantees +1 to level of socketed gems to be crafted on as the last prefix!

Remove the "Cannot roll attack mods" and craft on your suffix of choice if you didnt get attack speed you should craft that onto the bow now.

STEP3b:
(Bit of a gamble but can be cheaper) (2-3ex)

Craft "Cannot roll attack mods" onto the bow.
Exalt.

Hope that you hit the prefix as it will guarantee +1 to level of socketed gems. If you hit a suffix exalt again.

Remove the "Cannot roll attack mods" and craft on your suffix of choice if you didnt get attack speed you should craft that onto the bow now.

STEP 4.

Enjoy the bow.

STEP 5.

If the suffixes you got are not to your liking you can craft "prefixes cannot be changed" and scour.
Followed by another attempt at exalting the bow for better mods.
This step can be repeated until perfect mods.
