- "Good morning!" Howard heard from a booming voice, as he stirred from sleep within the confines of his cramped apartment. He had grown used to waking up to this noise, and shuffled to his feet and over to the window; the sun itself was greeting the earth with a loud bellow of its pleasant voice, followed with a friendly wink. Howard smiled and nodded, his gaze wandering to the bizarre streets of Oddspot City.
- The dreamlike, nonsensical city was heavy with the usual morning hustle and bustle. Flamboyant cars and strange shapes floated down the oddly-angled roads. Howard watched as a floating building across the street began to slowly descend to the ground, allowing its residents to leave. Near the sidewalk, a dog riding a tricycle was arguing with a rather vulgar sentient mailbox that hurled expletives, as well as mail. A family of gumballs rolled past businessmen made of fire. At the opposite end of the sidewalk a giant spider sighed as it swept up a mess of confetti vomit made by an intoxicated clown while it cried softly; a ballon tried to console the clown, patting him with its string.
- Howard chuckled, having grown used to these sights. It was a strange, magical place that he found himself becoming endeared to. He stretched languidly, before taking a brisk shower and throwing on some fresh clothes.
