- >You open your eyes.
- >A small little sting hits your eyes, making you close them again.
- >The stings keep coming and you raise your hand over your face.
- >The stings hit your hand, and the more awake you become the more you feel.
- >You move your hand and look up into the sky.
- >It’s raining.
- >You wipe the rain from your face.
- >The rain feels sticky.
- >You look at your hand and see that the tips of your fingers are stained red.
- >A chill goes down your spine and you try sitting up.
- >A blinding pain hits you, and you grasp your head.
- >You groan in pain and lay back down.
- >The rain continues to fall down on you as the pain subsides to a dull throb.
- >You again try sitting up, but this time much slower and controlled.
- >While this does help, your head still throbs with pain.
- >Once you’ve sat up you take a look at your surroundings.
- >Your sitting on grass.
- >To your left and right there’s grass, stretching for miles, until they disappear from your field of vision.
- >The ground your on is uneven.
- >You’re on the side of a hill.
- >Turning to your right you notice that your statement is partially true.
- >You’re on the side of a Highway.
- >Turning more you see a Semi truck hanging off the edge of the highway.
- >Placing your hand on your knees you take your time in getting up.
- >The pain in your head increases, and you breathe in sharply.
- >But it’s still tolerable and you rise until you’re standing.
- >You notice that there seem to be flashing lights a bit past the semi.
- >Some sort of accident?
- >You trudge up the hill, the scene unfolding before you as you climb.
- >There was indeed an accident, and a bit to the right is a blue Toyota Paseo.
- >The front end has been bent in, and the remains of the windshield lay upon the hood of the car.
- >Its headlights blink, indicating that the hazards have been turned on.
- >There are signs that cover a good thirty yards in either direction of the wreck.
- >You look past the wreck and notice that a crowd of people have formed a circle of some sort.
- >Gently you climb over the car and walk to the circle.
- >Their murmurs rise above the noise of the rain.
- >”Is she going to be ok?”
- >”When will the ambulance get here?”
- >”She needs to wake up soon.”
- >”At least she’s breathing.”
- >You force your way into the circle, trying to see who they’re referring to.
- >You finally push through the last bit and see what they were talking about.
- >On the street lies a pale girl.
- >She’s covered in blankets, but the blankets aren’t doing much.
- >They’re stained with blood.
- >A man is squatting beside her, his hands on her stomach.
- >She seems familiar, but you can’t figure out why.
- >You get closer, out of morbid curiosity.
- >The amethyst strands of her hair covers her face.
- >For some reason, the more you see her, the more familiar she becomes.
- >She coughs.
- >Violently.
- >So much so, that her eyes shoot open.
- >Her eyes reflect pain.
- >They look around desperately and she manages to wheeze out,
- >”Anonymous?!?”
- >You frown.
- >The name seems familiar, just like the girl herself, but again, you can’t seem to place how.
- >The man is startled.
- >”Miss? Are you ok Miss?”
- >He tries to take her pulse, but she is too busy looking around for this Anonymous person.
- >After a while, her eyes settle on you.
- >The blue of her eyes pierces you.
- >She smiles.
- >Not just any smile
- >But a smile so unique and special, that it only belongs to one person.
- >Her lover.
- >She reaches out a pale arm, covered in her blood out at you.
- >Her voice is barely above a whisper, and you normally wouldn’t be able to hear it above the rain.
- >But the world is quiet, and you can hear her words as if they’re thunder.
- >”Hello… Darling.”
