- Taako: It had been weeks since Taako had moved from his spot on the bed to do anything productive, mainly getting up to use the bathroom or pop a pill. He sighed as he looked at the pathetically low amount in the bottle; only two left, and he had no idea where to get more. As he leaned against the bathroom sink, his forehead pressed against the mirror, he could practically feel his heart beating faster, and that give him enough energy to make it back to his room. As he pulled back the covers, however, he heard his doorbell ring. He had forgotten the sound, which depressed him to no end to think of how frequently it rang before he and Sazed got together. Still, he moved slowly to the door as he pushed Sazed out of his mind, and as he opened it the few inches his chain lock allows, he caught sight of who was at the door. "Brad Bradson," he said, his voice almost silent from lack of use, "It has been a grip, hasn't it?"
- Brad Bradson: It had taken a little while for Brad to even hear what had happened, that Taako had /finally/ gotten away from Sazed. Killian, when she had told him, seemed close to tears in excitement, and they all were. It was a fucking /godsend./ "Taako!" Brad tried for a smile, trying not to feel immediately off put by the shallow, hollowed-out look in Taako's face. "Too long. I'm sorry I didn't call ahead, is now a good time?"
- Taako: "Of course it is, homie! Don't even worry about it." As he spoke, there was hardly any of that classic Taako Charm that always elevated his impressions on everyone he met. Taako quickly shut the door to unlock it, and reopened it fully, revealing just how much of a mess he was: his hair unbrushed; no makeup revealing the deep, dark circles under his eyes; his frail, thin body covered by a simple sweatshirt and athletic shorts. "What motivated you to drop in, my man?"
- Brad Bradson: Brad began to fidget, spinning a ring around his finger as he was welcomed into Taako's apartment, "I- I just heard about you and Sazed." he wasn't sure how to approach, and decided to be as careful as possible. "I was wondering... how you were. How things were going on your own." It wasn't negative, it wasn't putting any statement on Sazed, it was an open approach to covnersation.
- Taako: Taako felt like he could focus on nothing else but Brad's mouth moving at the mention of Sazed's name. He swallowed nervously and nodded, trying almost desperately to comprehend what Brad had said. "Yeah, it's- I'm good. I'm going good. Hey, can I ask you a weird question, Bradson?" He knew what was going to happen, but there had to be a chance Brad would be on his side. "It's just out of curiosity."
- Brad Bradson: "Of course you can, Taako. I'm here to talk." Brad did his best smile, still worrying at his ring. "What is it?" Taako felt... lost. He felt stuck. The house had an overwhelming smell that reminded Brad of college, and once he broke it down into smoke, weed, and unwashed bodies, that made a bit more sense.
- Taako: "Are you, by any chance, on Adderall? Or do you, like, have some lying around? I'm- uh- running out and I don't have enough money to get a refill," he said, reaching forward to place a hand on to make the request more personal. Taako wasn't lying, per se, but he decided to keep his real intentions for the drug hidden behind faking the one mental illness he feels like he doesn't have.
- Brad Bradson: Brad blinked, recoiling a little in surprise. "I- no?" he frowned, "Taako, if you need help filling a prescription, I can absolutely help with that." already, Brad pulled his wallet out of his back pocket, fishing for bills.
- Taako: "I- oh, okay," he trailed off, almost reluctantly taking the money from Brad. "Thanks, uh. Why don't you come in. I know it's less than desirable, but if I'd have known you were coming..." he trailed off again, knowing they both knew full well he wouldn't make any effort to clean up no matter how far in advance Brad would've told him. He turned and made his way to the couch, patting the seat next to him.
- Brad Bradson: "No, Taako, that's absolutely fine. Heaven knows my place is a mess." Which, for Brad, constituted a half-full laundry hamper and some toothpaste on the bathroom counter. He felt grimy in here. "It's been so long." Brad smiled, sitting on the other end of the couch to give Taako some courtesy space.
- Taako: "Yeah, it sure has. A couple years a-at least. Or- Wait, a few months? Didn't you come to my Candlenights party?" He sat back, a palm to his forehead as he flushed with embarrassment. "Shit, I'm sorry. You know how it gets, with time perception and all that."
- Brad Bradson: Brad frowned, "A few months, yeah." this felt... weird. Wrong. Something wasn't right. Brad hardly remembered Taako pre-Sazed, but he could only imagine the transition post-Sazed would be just as strong and... unsettling. "Taako... hey, are you okay?"
- Taako: Taako jerked up to face Brad, his expression defensive. "Of course, why wouldn't I be?" he answered, almost immediately. "I mean, it sucks, but what breakup doesn't?" He sat up straighter, his voice quick and almost shaky.
- Brad Bradson: "No, that's what I meant, that's all." Something was absolutely wrong. Brad reached out, taking Taako's hands. "You're- I like to think that we're friends, Taako, I want to be here for you."
- Taako: Taako stared, his expression changing to that of confusion, but it was difficult to tell if it was genuine or not. "I dunno what you're talking about." And yet, he did. He knew Brad didn't know about the drugs, but all the signs were there. Taako knew he needed to change the subject before he became panicky about lying. "I- Uh, enough about me! What have you been up to?"
- Brad Bradson: Brad could respect that. He backed off, sitting back against the couch. "Not much, a lot of the same. Work, all that." a small smile, "My sister came down a few weeks back, that was nice."
- Taako: Taako was instantly flooded with thoughts of his own sister. He had no idea what Lup was doing, or where she was, and panic almost overcame his mind when he remembered it was because of him. He wasn't allowed to talk to her, so he didn't. But since Sazed was gone, he was just too distraught to actually connect. Suddenly, he was saddened by the idea of not being with her, especially after months of being apart. "I- That's nice," he choked out, practically holding back tears.
- Brad Bradson: Fuck. Brad slid a little closer on the couch and rested a hand on Taako's arm, startled by how much of him... just wasn't there. "Talk to me, Taako, how can I help?"
- Taako: Taako took a deep breath, but shook his head, waving Brad's hand away. "I'm alright, I just miss Lup. I haven't really had the chance to talk to her the last couple says since me and- You know." He shifted in his seat, bringing his knees up to his chest. "It feels like it's been months, though. I don't-" he sighed, pressing the heal of his palm to his eyes. "I don't know what's real anymore."
- Brad Bradson: "It's... Taako." Brad frowned, rubbing a thumb over the back of his hand, "It's been almost two months, hasn't it? I'm not- I'll admit, I'm not all the way up to date, but I had the impression that you and Sazed had been separated for a while now."
- Taako: Taako stopped for a second as he processed Brad's words. Then, he slowly brought his knees up to his chest, his face buried between his legs. "Jesus, Brad, I'm so sorry! I knew it's been longer, it's just so hard sometimes..."
- Brad Bradson: "Hey! Hey," Brad patted Taako softly on the back, "Don't apologize, you didn't do anything wrong, Taako..." Fuck. What was going on? What was wrong?
- Taako: "It's just been such a blur since he left. I'm sorry, Brad. Really, I know it's been a while since we've talked. I know this isn't the type of catch up you wanted."
- Brad Bradson: Brad sighed softly and ran his nails down Taako's spine, "Just relax, okay? I wanted to come see my friend, that's all." he thumbed over the harsh ridge of Taako's vertebrae, "What can I do to help you?"
- Taako: Taako quieted down, letting out a soft sigh. "I don't know, Brad. Like, a super laced drug?" Immediately, Taako tensed and looked up at Brad, his eyes comically large in shock. "I mean- I don't- That's not.."
- Brad Bradson: Brad let out a soft sigh and took his hand away, resting his elbows on his knees and rubbing his eyes, "Taako, that's... you know this isn't like you." he peeked between his fingers, "You're not well, Taako."
- Taako: "I'm fine! I'm just at a low point because of the breakup! I'm fine, Brad."
- Brad Bradson: "Alright, okay, don't get mad." Brad fucked up, shit. he rubbed his temples, "Taako, I'm worried about you because you're my friend."
- Taako: "There's no need to be worried. I'll be right back." Taako stood and made his way to the bathroom. The second the door was closed he locked it, pressing his ear to it in case Brad had followed him. He took the pill bottle down from the shelf in the mirror and swallowed one dry, leaving only one left. He sighed, and as he put the bottle back, he noticed his hands were shaking. "Okay, Taako," he whispered to himself, "You can do this." As he made it back outside he smiled down at Brad.
- Brad Bradson: Brad took a few calming breaths and reviewed a few texts, wondering whether Lup should know he was here. Had Lup been here in a while? He frowned and glanced around the apartment, it really could do to be cleaned up. He looked up when Taako finally came back, flashing a warm smile, "You okay?"
- Taako: Taako took a sharp inhale and nodded, his eyes wide. "Perfect, my man. Hey, you said you want to help, right?"
- Brad Bradson: Brad perked up, trying to ignore the change in demeanor, "Absolutely! Can we get down to a grocery store? Maybe you could take a shower while I tidy up?"
- Taako: Taako scoffed, sitting down next to Brad, a little too closely. "You know, I've been so lonely the last couple months."
- Brad Bradson: Brad puffed out a breath through his nose and gave his most platonic pat on Taako's upper arm, "I believe it." Brad agreed, standing and wiping off his hands on his jeans. "Alright, what can I do?"
- Taako: Taako reached forward, resting his hands on Brad's thighs as he stared up at him. "Let me suck your dick."
- Brad Bradson: "Absolutely not." The smile was wiped away and Brad took two steps back, arms crossing over his chest, "That's- Taako, that's /highly/ inappropriate."
- Taako: "Why, you'd always let me do it whenever Sazed got shitty. Why not now? If anything, it's more appropriate because it's not cheating." Taako nodded, his expression unchanged.
- Brad Bradson: Brad shook his head, "You're- Taako, you /cannot/ consent to this, you're intoxicated. That's absolutely inappropriate." He glanced at his phone on the arm of the couch, wishing he had it closer, even for the illusion of help.
- Taako: Taako stood, never breaking eye contact as he moved closer to press himself against Brad's chest. "You can't prove that. I could've just gotten super cool and energized really quickly."
- Brad Bradson: "You're high." Brad gave a slow shove against Taako's chest, pushing him away, "I'm not /interested,/ Taako."
- Taako: Taako took a step back, his cheeks red with embarrassment. "I just thought it would be nice to fuck someone other than a drug dealer for the first time in, like, a year."
- Brad Bradson: Brad frowned, "Taako, you need to think about this." he sighed, "I'm not... I love you, Taako, you know that, I just can't afford to hurt you. I don't /want/ to hurt you."
- Taako: Taako genuinely thought for a moment, almost affected by Brad's rationale. He had to think of an excuse quickly, or else he wouldn't get what he wanted. "I see what you're saying, Bradson, but I want this. It's just- It's been a long time since I could say I slept with someone I trust."
- Brad Bradson: "Taako, oh my god." Brad rubbed his hands over his face, "You think I trust you enough to fuck you? When you're high and desperate and haven't seen another person in god-knows how long?"
- Taako: Taako nodded as he sat down, his legs spread enticingly. Still, he looked away, almost lost in thought, staring at the floor. After a second, he looked back up at Brad, exhaling a shaky sigh. "You don't trust me?"
- Brad Bradson: Brad sighed, "Taako, you /know/ that isn't what I meant..." he felt a twitching. Brad knew Taako could see it, even if only out of the corner of his eye.
- Taako: "But that's what you /said/, Bradson." He stood, stepping forward. "I do think you trust me enough to fuck me, Brad. Why the fuck would I not, when you're the best aspect of the last five years of my life!" He stopped, shooting a quick glance at Brad's lips. The very lips he hasn't seen in a very long time. Slowly, he leaned in and pressed his own against them, visibly relaxing with the contact.
- Brad Bradson: Brad groaned in defeat. He knew Taako had already won. "You aren't sucking my dick." he finally grumbled, running a hand softly over his back.
- Taako: "Wait, why not? Can you fuck me, then?" Taako grabbed onto the collar of Brad's shirt and pulled him to sit, positioning them so Taako was straddling Brad. As he rolled his hips, he leaned in to nip at Brad's neck. "I know you want to, after so long. And also after last time went so shitty."
- Brad Bradson: "No, fuck off, I'm not." Brad scooped his hands under Taako's ass, easily lifting up the bird-boned frame. "Sit down, Taako, Jesus."
- Taako: "But you- You were doing that thing, with your hand, on my back. You know." He scrambled to get back into Brad's lap, almost desperate. "Bradson, please. I missed you."
- Brad Bradson: Brad tutted, "Sit. On the couch, Taako." he pushed him away again.
- Taako: Taako finally complied, sighing. "I-I just- Why is this any different? We used to drink and smoke and fuck like it was nothing."
- Brad Bradson: With a sharp "Shush." Brad slid himself down to his knees, pushing away the coffee table to give himself some kneeling space in front of Taako.
- Taako: Taako gasped quietly, smiling slightly as he quickly understood what Brad was doing. He sat properly on the couch, legs spread.
- Brad Bradson: "Be good." Brad mumbled, tracing his mouth over Taako's clothes, not making eye contact. "I'll stop."
- Taako: Taako hummed, his hands immediately going to Brad's hair. "Shit yeah, keep bossing me around like that and we've got a deal."
- Brad Bradson: Brad glared up, "That's exactly the shit I don't want to hear."
- Taako: Taako bit his lip, nodding. "Sorry, it's just been a while since, uh- Wait, let me..." he trailed off as he reached down to slip off his shorts, revvealing no underwear underneath.
- Brad Bradson: "Good boy." Brad leaned back in, tracing tusk over thigh. "It's okay, don't apologize, Taako."
- Taako: Taako moaned softly, letting himself fall back against the back of the couch. He spread his legs more, his grip on Brad's hair tightening in desperation.
- Brad Bradson: "If you do it nice," Brad nuzzled against one of Taako's thighs, "You may make some guided suggestions or requests."
- Taako: "Shit, you never did this before. I- uh- I just want you, Bradson. Please?"
- Brad Bradson: Brad smiled against the skin and pressed a soft kiss, "Good boy." he leaned in, then hesitated, "Rewards, I thought we'd try some positive reinforcement." Brad finally laid a long, slow lick along Taako's slit, humming happily
- Taako: "I- oh, shit, yeah- I like it." He let his head fall back, his hips shifting up closer. "I like it a lot."
- Brad Bradson: Brad grinned, falling into a pattern of long, slow licks that slowly parted Taako, letting each stroke of tongue a little more lubrication and salty taste.
- Taako: Taako decided to stay quiet for a bit, just basking in the feeling of Brad's mouth. He bucked up after a moment, suddenly impatient. "Please, Brad. Go further, please."
- Brad Bradson: "Good boy, good manners." Brad licked his lips and pressed a little harder, slipping in easily and happily humming again.
- Taako: Taako whimpered happily, his hips rolling in time with Brad's tongue. "I'm close," he whispered, using his hands to try to push Brad closer as nonchalantly as possible.
- Brad Bradson: Brad laughed softly, "Already?" he teased, bringing his mouth up and sucking on Taako's clit, tongue flicking.
- Taako: As Taako grew closer to the edge, emotion started to take over, and tears started to well up in his eyes. He tried to wipe them away, but he kept crying. And as he came, and he moaned out Brad's name, the tears streamed down his face.
- Brad Bradson: Fuck. Fuck! Fuck. Brad stayed down, working Taako through the orgasm, but slid off a little earlier than he'd have liked, reaching up to take Taako's cheek in his hand, "What's wrong?"
- Taako: Taako whimpered softly as Brad pulled away, the aftershocks of his orgasm making this a very strange experience. Hiding his face in his hands, quiet sobs erupted from his lips as he tried to turn away from Brad. "I don't know, I don't know! I can't stop..."
- Brad Bradson: "Hey, Taako..." Brad pushed himself up to sit on the couch, pulling Taako close, "Talk to me, are you okay? Was it too much? Did I hurt you?"
- Taako: "No, no it was great! It's been so long since I've-" he was inturrupted by another wave of emotion, leaning to cry against Brad's chest.
- Brad Bradson: Brad ran his hand softly over Taako's hair, shushing him. "You're okay, I have you, Taako, you're okay."
- Taako: Taako turned away, taking a deep breath. Slowly, he reached up to scratch at his arm, trying not to make it obvious he was determined to break the skin. "I'm sorry I ruined this. Just like I ruined last time."
- Brad Bradson: "It's not ruined." Brad murmured softly, pressing a soft kiss to Taako's greasy, stringy hair. "How about this, I'll put you in a shower, you sleep this off, and we'll talk when you wake up?"
- Taako: Taako nodded reluctantly, but leaned into Brad to wrap his arms around him. "Only if you stay."
- Brad Bradson: Brad nodded, lifting Taako up. "I'm going to clean, grab groceries, make you breakfast, I just need you to get clean, and get some rest."
- Taako: Taako just nodded, pressing his cheek against Brad's shoulder. Within the next hour, Taako was leaned, dressed, and tucked in nicely. He fell asleep easily next to Brad, and woke up to the smell of breakfast. After probably eating more than his very small weight, he sat down on the couch, holding the pill bottle containing the final pill of adderall.
