Backstory:
Discovered in the jungle by an Eco-Cell near the Vietnam border, Laohu Duwang was taught of her nature by the hippies, as well as how to blend in with human society and how to speak, read, and write. Unfortunately, her education was far from comprehensive (most lessons on human society were more like rants about the waste and excess of capitalistic greed), and so there are significant things she is missing. After her education was "complete", she was returned to the wild. Of course, in that part of the world shapeshifters (especially tigers) are prized for their parts for use in traditional medicine, and so she ditched her jungle home to go somewhere else. By chance, she ended up in Neo-Tokyo, about as hostile a place for her kind as you can get.
