Bio:
	Harkon was born in Ervalt, the second son to a couple who was part of the Crimson Arms mercenary organization. His parents were part of the Crimson Soldiers branch of the group, and they followed the ideals of its creator faithfully: grooming their offspring to become soldiers as close to perfect as they could. Consequently the childhood Harkon and his siblings experienced was pretty different from most children's, starting from the fact that play-fighting was not only expected, it was nearly enforced with the addition of wooden weapons as soon as they could wield them. While those fights were harmless most of time, the older they grew the clearer became the intentions behind that. Harkon also had loyalty and the pursuit for martial skill drilled into his head since a young age, with competition against his siblings becoming more pronounced as he aged.

He had a staunch and unlikely friend in the other branch of the Crimson Arms; Abelard, an axe-swinging boy who visited him regularly and gave him a break from his family's strict discipline and his siblings' competitiveness. When they reached teen years and started actually taking part in fights, protecting each other and ignoring anyone who opposed their friendship, his parents included. The only reason he wasn't reassigned as far away as possible from Abelard was because Harkon was still a Soldier through and through; a loyal fighter who wanted to see their side win to matter the cost, and a battlefield partner only helped him achieve his objectives better.

Unfortunately for Harkon, the Arms were wrecked by internal conflict when the leader of the Crimson Blades branch decided to assert dominance over the Crimson Soldiers. The mercenary band was both fractured and paralyzed by the ensuring disputes and Harkon was left without any battlefields to fight in and nothing to do but twiddle his thumbs and wait... At least until Abelard came up to him, told him he was leaving and more or less dragged him along. It was a hard decision, but much like he was loyal to his family, he was also loyal to his friend and couldn't leave him alone. Both eventually joined the Ersht military, where he'd once again find a purpose.
