- “Ugh… Good lord, it’s finally over.” With a deep set sigh, a rather tired looking fox flops his way onto a dark red couch, the weariness in his eyes visibly relaxing a few moments later - he quickly slips his way around so that his face wasn’t pressing into the small throw pillows that were strewn about the place. In no time, one of his hands slips its way behind his head for the time being before another sigh leaves him. Everything just wasn’t going that well for him today - first, he had stubbed his toe while he was getting ready this morning, then he ended up not being able to eat half of his lunch because he tripped, and he had finally gotten in after being held up outside - he was ready to take a load off.
- “Ah, Gabe!” With that, one of the fox’s eyes peeks itself open, the other one quickly following suit at the sight of a rather elated-looking spider - his wife, of course.
- “Arachne! I didn’t know you were home!” And with that, he quietly sits up from his spot on the couch, a smile starting to press itself onto his features. At the sound of her husband’s words, she quickly slinks her way forward, the smile on her face quickly growing more and more with each passing second - she quickly slips her way to her husband’s side before quietly slipping her way on top of him, a small blush starting to burn its way onto her cheeks.
- “Well, if nothing else, I think a ‘surprise’ is in order, don’t you think?” And with that, she quietly plants her lips against the side of the fox’s cheek - she pulls away a split second later, the kiss she leaves being light and warm compared to his somewhat chilled cheek. For a moment or two, the two of them simply sit there, the spider quietly straddling her husband’s lap with a smile plastered onto her face.
- “Hehe… u-um… actually, honey, um… It’s been a hell of a day, and, uh… well… I kinda want to, uh… you know, relax a little bit, you know?” At the sound of that, the spider’s head tilts a bit in confusion.
- “Hm…? What happened, darling? Hopefully nothing too bad went on…”
- “Eh, well… it was just one bad thing after another today, you know? Just… I dunno… trying to get through it all is what I’m tryin’ to do, you know?” He lets out another nervous chuckle for a moment or two before his wife blinks her eyes.
- “Oh, honey… I’m so sorry that you’ve been having a horrible day…” And with that, her arms quietly slip forward before quietly caressing her husband’s head - a moment later, she pulls the fox closer to herself, her husband’s head quietly pressing itself between her ample bosom. Almost immediately, the fox’s eyes widen for a moment before a small gasp escapes him.
- “A-Ah, honey?”
- “Hm…?”
- “What’re you…?”
- “Oh, well… I figure that you could use an extra soft pillow or two to help you relax, hm?” And with that, the fox lets out a small sigh - the sentiment was there, sure, and she was rather soft right about now…
- “Nnh… Oh, I can’t get mad at you, honey… C’mere.” And with that, the fox wraps his arms around his wife, the spider’s eyes quietly blinking one by one before he quickly pulls her backward against himself onto the couch - the two of them let out a small sigh once they get settled, their smiles quietly starting to press themselves a bit more onto their cheeks.
- “Hehe, well, at the very least, it sounds like you could use a nap, don’t you think?” The spider smiles for a moment or two before quietly slipping herself off of her husband’s face before slinking her way against the fox’s side - immediately, half of her eyes close as the softness of that couch starts to worm its way against her form. In truth, her day wasn’t as good as she had hoped it to be, though with the fox at her side, everything was starting to look better already - even now, she was quietly squirming herself into the perfect little cavity so that the two of them could relax together for once.
- “Mnh… a nap sounds like heaven right now… but it’s even better with you here, you know, Ariadne?” With that, the fox plants a small smile onto his face before quietly planting a kiss onto his wife’s forehead, right between one of her pairs of ruby eyes. With that, though, the two of them let out a small sigh before easing back against their respective cushions - the fox against the throw pillow and the spider against her husband’s side for the time being.
- “Oh, trust me, darling, it’s even better now that you’re home with me… I think it’s about time that we enjoy each other’s company, don’t you think?”
- “Mhm, definitely… Though…” The fox’s mouth opens for a moment or two, a yawn quietly escaping from his throat. “Haaah… I think that we could both use a nap right now, don’t you think?”
- “Oh, absolutely…” And with that, the spider quietly presses herself against her husband a bit more, her head quietly resting against his chest for the time being. With that, though, her eyes start to close once more, her own fatigue starting to take over her form. The fox does the same a moment later, his breath quietly heaving in soft, relaxed puffs as the two of them quietly start to drift off to dreamland for the time being, their forms quietly resting in each other’s arms and a smile starting to softly worm its way onto their cheeks. They absolutely needed this today - now it was time to have a little bit of an indulgence with each other.
- Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day for the both of them - it should be, especially when they know that they’re with each other again.
