  1. use --no-boot-hacks flag if you wish to create a ThinLTO kernel. This flag will use nm-llvm instead of nm which silently drops LTO and changes it to LTO_NONE=y in the config. This updated version of 2.9.1 make --no-boot-hacks=1 the default.
