/fgog/ VGL7 info

The VGL signups are opening this weekend, so this is the best time for us to decide on our new roster before the new part of the event begins.
TL;DR: Just skip to the last paragraph.

>what is the VGL?
Also known as /vg/ League, it's a virtual divegrass tournament played between /vg/ generals for >fun, bragging rights and the possibility to have one of our players get in the /vg/'s 4chan Cup roster.
It's played cpu vs cpu on PES16, so the outcomes are mostly random, but every team has one or two managers that decide the formation and tactics the team will use, so there's some room for standing above the rest.
It's streamed on hitbox, and the next vgl will start the 2nd of December, though if we end up having to play the qualifiers we'll play them the 20th of November.

We've only played the last vgl in May so far. Because of more than 32 teams signing up, we had to qualify for the actual tournament by playing 3 qualifying matches.
We won the first two and tied the last one [spoiler](but only because we decided to use meme tactics for fun since we had already qualified)[/spoiler].
The matches in the actual vgl didn't go so well, with two losses and a tie, but this time our meme magic will surely triumph against the opposition, since we've learnt a lot from the last matches.

I'm just the guy in charge of making blender heads. Our aesthetics last vgl were among the best, and I can promise they'll be even better this time. We're also going to have a custom UBW stadium for our home matches.
Today I'll be running the roster polls, after that you won't probably see this trip again, since the guy in charge of tactics and getting suggestions from the thread is OlgaWillBeBack.

We need new memes. Some of our roster is made up of old memes, and we need our team to stay fresh.
To keep a balance between changing too much and changing too little, we'll do it like this:
- The two gold medal players (players with very boosted stats) can only be changed every two seasons (not this time, then)
- Sack the whole bench. The starting players stay, but their names can be changed to fit the newer memes.
- One poll decides which 12 players make it in and take the place of the benched players (sacked players can come back if they get enough votes though)
- Another poll decides which among all the 21 non gold players get to be starters, and the two most voted get to be silver medals (players with slightly boosted stats).
This way, even if some old memes were among the starters, they'll just go to the bench, and get removed the season after.

Lastly, since last time people complained that the poll was too short and that they didn't get to vote on it, we'll first of all run a "suggestions poll".
This poll is only for giving your suggestions about what memes should be in the actual poll.
It's also for suggesting new names for the starter players.
It'll run for 12 hours so that everyone can get to vote on it, but since it's just for suggestions nothing happens if people rig it.
After 12 hours have passed, the poll will be closed and the proper polls will be done as mentioned above.
A music suggestion poll and proper music polls will be run in parallel.
