Since Yujung's parents were always busy, she didn't get affection at all, except from her house maids. She was taught to love everything and anything and always see the brighter side of a situation. Even though she would be sad, her friends or her brother would always make her feel better. It was her brother, who actually encouraged her to audition because since their parents were conservative, they wanted her to just get married off because the brother could be the source of income. So, instead of that, she auditioned and her parents didn't really mind, and she started her journey as a trainee.

One day, (It was Jongin's 2nd year in Exo, aka 2014, and Yujung's 4th year as a trainee) their mutual friend called them over at night in a cafe, for a reunion with other people. Since Yujung was well-known for being a YG Trainee, Jongin was surprised that they had been to the same school. They sparked up a conversation and have been friends (hehe) ever since.
