Background: Aiko grew up in San Francisco, California, where she lived with her Korean mother, Japanese father, and two older brothers (she is the youngest). She was born in Osaka, but since her father found a more sustainable job for the family in America, they moved. Growing up, she didn't have that many friends, even when she took piano and singing lessons; she was considered too quiet and too weird when she wasn't quiet. Yet she always made jokes in her head.  One day in sixth grade, just out of nowhere, she cracked a joke in classーsuddenly beginning her reputation as a rebel and class clown. As she gained popularity, she started skipping classes and was failing in many of her studies (part of this blames her dyslexia). Much to her parents dismay, she was also into hip hop rapping and dancing, for it took away from her studies and piano. When she was thirteen, as a joke, she and her friends decided for her to try out to be an idol (they were into kpop and jpop). And she actually qualified. She realized that she really wanted to become a trainee. It took a while and lots of mending with her parents for her to be allowed to take on this career (Sorry it's so long omg).

Personality: Aiko (currently) is a very outgoing, honest, and funny person. She enjoys cracking jokes and making people smile, which can be seen as sweet. But she has an impatient and rebellious side as well. She finds following the rules to be boring and a waste of time. She can be impulsive and usually doesn't think things through before doing it.
