In Sickness and Health

Umiko Kawanami was currently sitting in the bridal suite with butterflies in her stomach. It had been a long time coming, but after many hurdles (including a raging Lyse trying to punch his face in)  Umiko had finally managed to get the opportunity to marry her favorite murderous boyfriend Zenos Yae Galvus. Truth be told, after the fight with Shinryu, the two had been secretly been meeting off and on again, the two drawn together by the other's power. Countless times they'd met in the middle of the night to engage in totally safe for work activities such as vigorous groping of body parts, hugging, attempting to strangle one another and when they were REALLY feeling risque, they'd go for all out Hand-holding.

"Lass are you SURE you want to do this?" Raubhan asked coming into the room "You realize that this is the same man who possessed a dragon and attempted to end your life right?"

"I know...and it was so romantic~!" Umiko replied with blush on her face "I wouldn't mind doing something like that for the honeymoon!"

Raubhan could only sigh as he stepped out of the room. Who would expect that the Warrior of Light was a love-struck woman with an outright insane idea of what one would consider 'romantic.' still it wasn't his place to judge, and trying to speak any sense would only be met with her gushing about her husband-to-be.

It was a short while before it was time. Umiko gingerly stepped out of the bridal suite, being escorted by Ser Aymeric. She had no real father, but a good friend was the next best thing for her. As she walked out, her numerous friends all sat in attendance. Some of them had suppressed scowls on their face, while others seemed rather neutral to the entire ordeal. Lyse had to be physically restrained and Hien had to watch from the window to keep himself from flying into a rage. Alphinaud, could only sigh really, he was in no position to stop his friend from marrying whomsoever she pleased.

The priest gave her a small bow and before long the oak doors flew open to show Zenos Yae Galvus dressed in a tuxedo...and covered in blood. Slung over his back was the body of one of the many beasts that roamed the land.

"And there she is, the light of my life. I thought it was only proper that I bring a gift!" He exclaimed smiling as everyone looked at him in a mixture of disgust and bewilderment."

"I love it~!" Umiko exclaimed smiling widely, "But we'll skin it after the proceedings, get up here already!"

"But of course."

Zenos walked up the alter, a wide smile on his face. "Be on with it man, I'd like to enjoy wedding day."

The priest said nothing and read the usual words that he would read at a wedding. Everyone else waiting on pins and needles hoping that when he said the line 'If anyone has any reason why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your piece.' that someone, ANYONE, would charge through the doors and profess their love or something that would waylay the ceremony. Unfortunately, no such thing occurred and the ceremony went on uninterrupted.

"Now then, you may kiss the bride."

This was the moment that she'd been waiting for. Umiko need only receive this one singular kiss and with that, for all her life she would be eternally bonded to Zenos she closed her eyes, puckering her lips and waiting fervently. However, the kiss never came, curious she opened her eyes, to see a blade at her throat.

"A mere kiss? You think that is fitting for one such as us Umiko? Come now, surely you know better than  THAT!" Zenos exclaimed taking a stab at her with his blade

"Goodness...how wonderful, you're quite right!" Umiko replied smiling widely. She had no weapon, but the monk training she'd gone through was more than enough for her to go toe to toe with Zenos. Even her gown wasn't enough to slow her down as she ducked and dodged, everyone else not doing anything at all, as they could see the happiness on her face. Of course, the look of pure arousal on Umiko's face was another reason they opted not to intervene. As for the priest he merely huffed as he watched the display.

"I NOW DECLARE YOU MAN AND WIFE!" He exclaimed loud enough for all to hear. The two warriors punching and slashing (and somehow managing to kiss) throughout his proclamation.

Everyone else in attendance merely sighed and got up to leave, leaving the two  insane lovers to bask in the beginning of their weird, yet exciting new life together.
