  1. Xenoblade 100% FAQ
  2.
  3. Definition:
  4. -Start from a NG file (timer starts when pressing NG)
  5. -Beat the game (final split on the last hit on the final boss)
  6. -Do as many quests as the game allow you to do.
  7. -Kill every 157 Unique Monsters at least once (including Quest Unique Bosses and Superbosses)
  8. -Finish the Collectopedia.
  9. -visit all landmarks and locations of the game.
  10.
  11. What is exactly the quest requirement?
  12. There is 480 quests, but you cannot do all of them, as there is 50 quests mutually exclusive: if you do one you can't do the other one. Therefore this means that there is 455 quests you can do on one savefile. To do all 455 quests some options have to be taken (wheter it's text options or quests), as otherwise these quests are missable. Yoou also have missable quests because of story progression (mostly in Alcamoth, Bionis Leg, the Sword Valley and Mechonis) so you have to be careful here too
  13. In order to do all quests, you are also basically required to fully rebuild Colony 6. It also means that you get 5 star reputation for every cities (World Hero achievement) and get all skill trees.
  14.
  15. What exactly is the Unique Monster requirement?
  16. Unique Monsters are monsters that have a specific name and theme. They are stronger monsters than the area they are in and are basically mini-bosses of the game. They always drop gold chests and are the only drop source for glyphs items. Upon first defeat, they reward you with one Social-point, which are used for skill links/sharing. After they are beaten a first time, they only have a small chance to respawn but won't reward you with any Social points on a set file.
  17.
  18. Collectopedia?
  19. The game's map is filled with blue orbs on the map. Upon collection they reward you with a somewhat random collection item, and you can use them to complete a collection book, the Collectopedia. Once you get all items of one type in an area you get a reward, as well as when you collect every item of one area.
  20.
  21. Locations?
  22. Once you get every location of an area, the map area is complete, even if you didn't visit every inch of it (very noticeable for Colony 9, Eryth Sea, Fallen Arm and Bionis Interior)
  23.
  24. What about Heart-2-Hearts?
  25. Hearts to Hearts requires maximum affinity between all characters. And because of it's grindyness, it was opted out. It would otherwise takes ~5hours of mashing B which isn't interesting at all for anyone.
  26.
  27. What about achievements?
  28. All achievements aren't required here because that's basically not possible unless after WAY too much grinding (actually mainly records and not trials... so who knows? might changes things): http://xenoblade.wikia.com/wiki/Achievements
  29.
  30. What is WR?
  31. No one finished this RTA. I finished my first timed multi-segment run in 26:53:51 and VicAsmadi did the same with another route got a 29:31:33. A long time ago Luna/CrystalBeauty did an attempt with any kind of route but she stopped at around a 60 hour mark or something.
  32.
  33. How long should it take?
  34. This should take between 24 to 30 hours RTA, considering the multi-segment runs hat have been done so far.
  35.
  36. Do you have a route available for this?
  37. This run went through some very heavy routing in order to do things very effectively; mostly skipping fighting monsters for loot or to avoid unnecessary movement; MLSTRM made the core route, while VicAsmadi gave numerous inputs to it in order to improve it and finally I, Legrandgrand, made all the improvement to make this route be what it is. Though the route is still very long and definitly improvable I am very happy with the current result.
  38. The "1.1" route is the most up-to-date one is an Excel document and is available on the Xenoblade Discord, but you can have a look at the "1.0" version here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1o09fLzvN-OrBLH4UTIBdumnlCa0ujOohr_Eycnt0mVE/edit#gid=0
  39.
  40. Can you explain how this route works?
  41. The first thing we do is do the same trick used in any% to reach level 50 before Metal Face at Colony 9. This allow to skip any sort of grinding and makes the whole early game up to Sword Valley/Fallen Arm basically free and fast. The main idea is to go through the any% route up until Fallen Arm while grabbing and doing as many quests as possible on the way but without going out of the way for it.
  42. Once at Fallen Arm, we changed from the usual Shulk/Dunban/Reyn party to Melia/Fiora duo with one of the boy and start cleaning up earlier areas, in order to get girl's affinity high enough for the Paola and Narine's quest. The second reason to do the clean up from there is because we can do all the pre Mechonis Core quests from that moment, as a lot of them will be unavailable after that point. The last one is to get a few extra levels for Mechonis Field/Central Factory/Agniratha and also Mischievious Naberius, the final Unique Monster of Sword Valley
  43. Once all of that is done we move back to the main party for the whole game, which is Shulk/Dunban/Fiora (or Reyn when playing it safe is more important), finish up all of Agniratha and once Mechonis Core is done, do a giant quest clean up. Once we hit a decent enough level, Bionis Interior, then Prison Island, and finally Alcamoth post-core is done. Once all that is done, all quests are mostly done and we are basically cleaning up all the lategame Unique Monster, ending with all superbosses, which are either topple locked to death or, for Belgazas, cheesed with a cool strat.
  44. After that it is clean up of Collectopedia , forgotten quests on the way and finally finishing the game!
