Envy PT 6 Combat

Looking at Fabula the man seemed slightly less irritated, his face turning to one of pity for the man. Had he no aims of challenging the man, yet he took his defensive stance as a challenge. Rai lifted his cloak as the shadows returned to their depths.

"If you fall victim to bloodlust over being shown that you are wrong in calling the Fourfold cowards, then you are no different from the Demons that would feast upon all indiscriminately.."

His body slowly took on a shadowy layer of armor, akin to his Daemon's own that painted itself into a thick brown.

"If you aim to do as such, then I will ensure that you harm no one as you let out your aggression, for that would bring you to be irredeemable."

The illusionist did not want to fight, but that was often out of the question, bloodlust permiated the land in full.

The hunched figure would twist his neck toward the sky and snap it from left to right, the bones within making an audible cracking sound. His neck would twist down once more, his eyes falling upon Rai.

"I fell victim to blood-lust long ago, friend... But I am no Demon, this is natural, life demands pain." He brought his staff forward in front of him, his body was frail yet loose and relaxed.

A warm aura of the Occult would envelop him as he spoke, a clone of himself appearing beside him ready to fight alongside him.

"I would hardly say you proved me wrong - More you attempted to disguise the inaction of your leaders while your kin were slain with illusion magic." He stepped forward, looking toward the Priest Cullen.

"Hold the Orphan girl, this is no longer her battle.. And she may get hurt if she tries to get involved."

With that, he would begin his assault on Rai, whether he had Atsuko at his side or not.

Ucchi Suguri exclaims, "Noooo! Stop this!"

Paladin says, "I agree with the kitsune. Stop this nonsense battle."
Gordon , the both of them, widened their stance, speaking in unison, or at least what seemed to be unison. "Move Ucchi from the fight, she needs not witness this, and the man needs to be calmed."

As Fabula started his assault, Atsuko jumped in with her sword, aimed at beating Fabula down alongside Rai. "I ain't gonna let ya jus' attack somebody, ya creep!"

With that said, she waved her sword around, screaming and shouting angrily.

After she got clobbered, Atsuko laid on the ground thinking. Long and hard.

What was it Paladin and that bird drakanite said? Strike, again and again? Something, something, Ifrit?

it all made sense.

Rai the man dropped his stones s the shadows surrounded him. "You prey on the weak."

Ucchi continues booing Fabula from the sidelines. Whenever the other pair land a major blow on him, she cheers. Granted, she hated fights, but this was a bad person they were fighting - it had to be done!

Fabula's confidence surged during the beginning of the fight, he repelled their attacks quite easily, Atsuko went down without a challenge, as if she were a fly, while he focused on his main target Rai, who granted, was somewhat of a challenge.

At some point, Atsuko changed, she came it him with more fury then before.. And it hurt.

Holy shit.

Atsuko's very first time using Ifrit Style. It was completely self-taught, and she had much more to learn, but.. There was a grin on her face as she stared Fabula down.

"I'll kick yer ass!"

Ucchi Suguri exclaims, "Yeah, kick him! Do the thing!"
The man seemed to duck through the shadows with them unpainted, leaving him to seem like a blur, though there was no hinting of extereme speeds, simply a hazy mist of shadow.

"Preying upon the weak.. Is the way of Demons."

His daemon seemed to change it's pace, heading from a defensive stance to an aggressive one.

"Atsuko, Be humble, Be patient. That is Samurai."

He looked across the battlefield, the grass still scorched by occult magic.. Until he saw, little Atsuko.. With a hole in their eye, burned out by occult magic.

"Gah! PRIEST! I told you to hold this girl!" Fabula shrieked, feeling somewhat guilty. He did not even notice she was involved in the fight whilst he was enraged and battling Rai.

It was the end of the fight, and this time.. Atsuko didn't come out on top. Instead he felt a burning pain. An awful burning pain that made her tear up- in one eye. Both hands grabbed at her right eye as she fell to the ground, rolling around and screaming in pain.

After about a minute of wailing in complete and utter agony, she.. Finally passed out, laying on the ground with a few tears still rolling down from her left eye.

The man's sudden change from shadow to stone seemed to be his own downfall, attempting to withstand instead of pure onslaught did the man no good, let alone his complete lack of combat experience. His leg was crushed out of place, bones seperated from one another and fractured from the sheer blunt force of the staff.

Relying entirely on his Daemon companion to keep himself upright as his right leg hung from his hip.

"You need.. To curb.. That bloodlust.."

Fabula recoils upon seeing the sight of Atsuko and her lack of an eye, he did tell her to stay out of it and he truly never did mean to take it this far, an unfortunate situation.

What better to do when faced with an unfortunate situation?

Run, he runs..

Ucchi calls after Fabula. She calls him a bad person over and over, tears streaming down her cheeks.

A silver-haired man had arrived at the scene a bit too late, it seemed, as the resident <s>pokemon trainer</s> runesmith adept had found himself injured!

"Rai! What in the world happened...?" he'd exclaim before his gaze was drawn to something else.

Someone was escaping, and so, augmenting his speed with a quick frictionless boost from his grasp over the winds, the enigmatic samurai gave chase for no reason at all other than the fact that it was suspicious to flee from a scene after finding someone injured there.

Jenci's eyes caught sight of Fabula trying to leave the area. The Neries stood up on his heels and tried to give chase to the hooded occultist but his slower speed was putting a tax on his ability to keep up. The girl was once the ground in tears, blood on her face, and Rai was...disregard.

"Hey!"Jenci barked out, still trying to keep up with Fabula. Questions and more questions. What happened? Why was Atsuko on the ground? What did he do? Was Jenci in the place to enact justice? He didn't know, and he probably won't find out from him.

The Paladin watched as Fabula lost control of his own powers. Occult energy, once again, taking over his owner. Maybe this was a too extreme view of his point, but honestly, how would the Paladin look otherwise?

He was a holy man, and a holy man could only have this point of view. As soon as Fabula was getting done with the two, he quickly rushed in to intervene, a groan of pain being let out as his veins coursed with holy energy.

At the very least, he managed to cast a protective spell on the two, stopping their wounds from being any more grievous than they actually were, enveloping their wounded locations in marble.

And as soon as Fabula ran, he ran after him. The mythril-clad paladin followed Fabula away from the town, only to stop, coughing blood from his very organism. He had made the mistake of using magic, and soon enough, he was almost falling down onto the ground, too weakened and pained to continue.

He looked at the man running away, and felldown on his knees, putting one palm-open hand to the ground.

Rai was leaning heavily on Gordon, the titan of Daemon picking him up by the waist and setting him on his shoulder, the duo reaching a good 10 feet in height, right leg left to hang over the daemon's side. He looks down at Ryou.

"Occultic Madness took him. It's why I don't study into Occultism, dispite the power it -could- give me.. I've got my daemons. I may be-"

He sucked his teeth momentarily, the daemon had shifted the wrong way.

"-. . . Maybe be weak but I'm not going to become depraved to grow stronger.."

You don't have to be completely depraved to take someone else's place in life.
