  1. Week 2 PR Black Division
  2. Coolry: (2-0)
  3. That turn one blue flare miss ended up saving the game for you seeing as Arcanine was the last pokemon left with only 5% hp left. That being said, I liked the switches early on. They were pretty spot on, however wish Primarina could have been switched out as well seeing as it was -1. I don’t understand much of the extrasensory play, but Raikou at this point is doing a great job of weakening the remaining mons in order to help clean up. It does suck that Weavile got paraed and full paraed, but there should be no reason a weavile does not carry ice shard. I’m pretty sure ice shard cleaned from there if you had it. In the end Arcanine managed to live the hit and save the game.
  4. Keiyr: (0-2)
  5. The opening miss sucked with Victini as it did not allow damage to be given off of Arcanine. Early on I think you attacked too much straight in front of you. Primarina is ran scarf pretty often. Knowing your opponent is going to attack what is in front of them and you not having a moonblast resist outside of Victini, I think the play into Victini would have been a nice scout seeing as moonblast is a lot more likely with Silvally dark in and a water absorb Seismitoad in the back. I also think Galv should have just fired off a Thunder vs Primarina instead of Volt switch seeing as Ferrothorn would still take decent damage and it would have avoided toad being weakened. I do like the scarf Galvantula bring. It helped pressure the faster threats being Weavile and mega Pidgeot. It also helped outspeed the scarf Primarina. I think the biggest misplay in hindsight was Salamence coming in on a tbolt. If it could have gotten a free switch in on the raikou it would have probably swept after a dd seeing as it was moxie and no ice shard on weavile.
  6. Tv: (1-1)
  7. First off, I liked how Garchomp came in early and started tearing things apart. After the fact though, I feel like at 16% it should have been sacked in order to bring in Volacrona freely or Thundurus. Instead Volcarona ended up being sacked when it shredded Viets team if it could live an aqua jet from Crawdaunt. Secondly, nothing was lost if you just clicked t-bolt on Scizor vs All out Pummeling. The z move ended up being wasted on a sacked Nidoqueen. It does suck that Thundurus was crited, but I’m a little unsure on how much it mattered seeing as if you just moonblasted the Manectric instead of wishing at full Flygon would have dropped. Plus the Manectric was sacked anyways. Lastly, there was no reason to ever switch out of Florges unless the Scizor came in. It ended up costing 2 diff points that could be necessary later on. In the end though the Miltank that was likely designed to beat Scizor beat Scizor to win. A win is a win.
  8. Viet: (0-2)
  9. I liked the early damage on Chomp in some ways, but at the same time, Nidoqueens Hp was necessary in order to check things like florges, Thundurus, or even the Scizor. Gardevoir was thrown out for free, although I thought it was still locked into Outrage after the first one is used. Bullet punching twice vs a volc could have been bad because of Flame body, but it worked out. The Nidoqueen sack ended up working out better than probably imagined seeing as Thundurus burned its z move. I don’t think there was a reason to HP Ice vs Thundurus seeing as tbolt does more to everything except chomp which is outsped anyways. The crit would have mattered either way, but I don’t think Thundy does much in return. Instead of volting into Flygon, why not just go hard scizor or going hard scizor on the predicted wish or protect? Instead Manectric is sacked for nothing, Crawdaunt is gone for nothing. It ultimately costed you the game completely.
  10. Patepic: (0-2)
  11. Turn 1 I like the play of Light of Ruin. Turn 2 why was it not clicked again? Nothing came in on it and it would have KOed the Uxie no problem. Instead Vaporeon was chipped down some may or may not matter later, and Skarmory was put to sleep. This lead to Shaymin setting up Leech Seed and Sub vs it, ultimately causing the Skarm sack to a Shaymin still behind a sub. Which then leads to losing Serp vs Shaymin and Shaymin still being at full. Not really sure why zard never came in other than rocks. With being on the backfoot, plays are needed to get back into the game. Not plays like wilo into the Incineroar switch in with Haunter. Shaymin just decimated your team and Charizard never came in to check it.
  12. Hblake: (1-1)
  13. The first couple of turns you capitalized on your opponent overpredicting vs the Uxie. This allowed Shaymin to come in freely and destroy a sleeping Skarm and Serperior and really just the whole team. It pretty much just went in the second it hit the field. I don’t think there was much wrong with what you did. Excadrill didn’t even have to hit the field and you still won 5-0. All I can really say is nice win and a dominant one at that.
  14. Yetii: (1-1)
  15. Off team preview Tornadus goes in on Nard’s team. Great choice in leading with it. You were even able to catch the threat that is Lopunny turn 2 with the scarf Hurricane. Thank goodness you didn’t miss. I like the Endevour tech on Haxorus, however I feel like it was swept up too early. Turn 11 Hurricane doing what it does best, missing. Hurricane spamming the Latias just wasted PP and risked missing. I would have went Clef/Metagross immediately. I can’t believe you predicted Amoonguss correctly twice with Clef, but you did. Looking at the damage of Moonblast on Latias, it was obvious it was going to be a stall war on who crits first, annnnnd then Nard sacks Latias. As you pointed out, going Metagross first was a misplay. I do think Mega Gallade could have come in or at all in order to apply pressure, but oh well. Fortunately you still won out the game thanks to an impeccable torn hitting all but one Hurricane.
  16. Nard: (1-1)
  17. Turn 2 Mega Lop dies. I can’t blame you for not expecting scarf Torn, but even after the fake out damage, it was only a roll as to whether Lopunny killed with Return. Regardless, Latias should have been the switch in seeing as it would take two Hurricanes fine. After that, scarf would be all, but confirmed if the Torn doesn’t change up moves and switch. Good job playing around the Haxorus as well as setting up the rocks. Good swtich to Amoonguss in order to get rid of the Krook. It was unfort he predicted Amoonguss twice, but Latias could easily PP stall Clef as much as it can to it. In fact, bc of Fire blast only having 8PP Latias was more likely to win that battle. Sacking Lati ended up leading to losing the game as Comfey was unable to dodge a hurricane.
  18. Track: (2-0)
  19. Nice way of getting rocks up. Unfortunate you had to miss your stone edge on the mandibuzz. Suddenly he let you set up Terrakion and just easily let it nearly win the game. From there it was mainly just not royally fucking up with your remaining mons and you did just that. Golisopod did a nice job as well. Not much else to say.
  20. Noob: (0-2)
  21. Well even with Track missing, you pretty much threw away half your team before even seeing if Suicune can live a hit. After that you pretty much gave up all hope and started throwing out the rest of your team. All I can really say is think ever play through and always look for an out whether it is for diff or for the game. Never just throw in the towel.
  22. Ion: (2-0)
  23. Not really sure why Koko was sacked when it seemed pretty clear Kyurem was scarfed. It will make it hard for Alolan Chu to make moves later on. It is somewhat annoying having your Mega Scizor be paraed against what SHOULD be a lightning rod Manectric. I do like the signal beam tech. Even with all of the over predicting switches, you still managed to pull out the W.
  24. Angel: (1-1)
  25. I feel like this weak someone like Infernape would have benefited much more of Hoopa-U It doesn’t really come in on anything as we saw in the game. Without it your team lacked the offense to actually capitalize on Ion’s many mispredictions. I think you played fairly well, just lost when it came to your prep.
  26. Chris: (1-1)
  27. Turn 1. It was cool to see z Komala hit Necrozma, but were calcs ran at all in prep to see how much it actually does? Luckily it probably gave you some good info. It is pretty tough not landing sleep powder vs Necrozma. Sorry multiple sleep misses. Lycanroc did not do much in this MU so it was fine sacking. I feel like after Sylveon protected, you were free to make a play into your Celesteela check seeing as he obviously wants to save Sylveon and nothing else wants to come in on iron head. In the end after some decent play from both of you it came down to a 50-50 with Donphan and he won by clicking stone edge. Tough loss, but bounce back.
  28. Lord Zoro: (2-0)
  29. You played safe for most of the game and managed to dodge 3 sleep powders in a row. I’m not really sure if I understand the Aerodactyl sack when it is at full. You clearly had an answer to Zeraora in the form of Donphan. Maybe put a little speed investment in things like Celesteela and Sylveon in order to prevent speed creeping. Once the zard is in at the late game. Celesteela should have been the sack. In the end it came down to a 50/50 where you made the right play and caught the zard on the switch with stone edge.
