  4. ========================
  5. This article is my explanation of a phenomenon I have titled "Entering the Void". I have included a bit of background information about what I believe the Void and entering the Void is, some methods and tools for entering the Void, and some personal experiences I have had.
  6. Note that this is from my own experiences of lucid dreaming and astral projection. I am not an expert nor do I claim to have a true perception of what is. I merely do my best to explain from my own experience, perceptions and conceptions. In saying that, I am not sure if I would classify “Entering the Void” as an astral projection, a lucid dream or something different all together. It could possibly be an aspect of lucid dreaming or even hypnagogia but that is for you to decide.

  8. ========================
  9. Introduction
  10. ========================
  11. First of all I should probably give you 'my' definition of Void. To me the void is the great 'emptiness'. It is an absence of life and light and yet full of awareness. It can be seen as the place where Spirit expands its awareness into creation. The Void exists everywhere and anywhere, it is essentially the Mind of 'God' (I use that term loosely). If you're an adept of Hermetic Philosophy (If you aren't I definitely recommend checking it out) you might call it the point where THEALL is THEONE. To me that sentence is beyond my comprehension at this time; however I do believe it to be true. But you must consider that even this definition is but a limited one. I am only the mind of soul who cannot see unity as much as I would love to. I speak using the expressions that I resonate with and in time those may change.
  12.
  13. The Void is consciousness itself and is available to all because it is all that is. You are both it and an expression of it, at this very moment. If you are willing enough to fully experience it, you will know your own mind and the Mind of THEALL. The Void itself is absolute for it is everything, but a being cannot experience everything if they do not see the truth.
  14.
  15. My most common entrances into the Void have occurred at the end of a lucid dream. I am willing to bet that of many us have entered the Void since incarnating here but most of the time cannot remember or are not suppose to remember. I have also astral projected and entered the Void from that realm but only once. But what do I mean by entering the Void? For me it is when my conscious awareness is no longer attached to a body. I am simply; I am, floating in a still and quiet absence of light. I have my mind limited by my belief system and its perceptions and preconceptions. (Note: I believe that if one's geometry was in perfect harmony, you would simply be consciousness itself, aware and in love with Void/Spirit/God/THEALL/THEONE/Monad/the Omniverse/interconnectedness, whatever words you use to call it. I also believe that this is the goal of all life and the purpose of evolution) I know I am not yet in harmony and from entering the Void it is easily visible. Using this method I hope to balance myself to the point where I am able to see reality for what it truly is, and you can too.

  18. Method
  19. ========================
  20. I have numbered some steps and tools to help you but I don't have a formal method for 'Entering the Void”. Just by simply believing it is possible will make it so. A few times I have entered unintentionally, probably because I had something to learn or remember. I am hoping that this will provide you with enough information to give you a chance at this amazing experience, if you haven't already.
  21.
  22. (1) The first step (more like a prior step) would be to learn how to create a moment of pure ecstasy. I don't really have a name for this moment/thought/feeling but to me it is as close as you can get to unconditional love. Breathe in towards your sternum while experiencing: gratitude, acceptance, forgiveness, and joy among others and you will immediately begin to feel a surge of energy and bliss. This helps me to imagine what a full perception of the Void should be like. Recalling a prior moment of ecstasy is also quite helpful.
  23.
  24. (2) Imagining a visualization of the Void is the best way for a first time visitor but for someone who has entered before visualizing a memory of the Void is probably more beneficial. Pretty much imagine being in space but with no stars or if you'd like imagine the vast empty space between atoms, either way the Void exists in both places.
  25.
  26. (3) Know that your higher self is simply you, just the more aware version. It is not something to attain or become. It exists in the full spectrum and you are just one vibration of the spectrum. It can see clearly see through the Void where you see only your beliefs. In other words its geometry is your geometry just in harmony with complete template of what is. I use to have a hard time grasping the higher self but when I experienced it within the Void I knew it (I) was real and more than willing to help me (myself). It can be difficult to explain but if you have ever been guided by your higher self than you know it is real. A metaphor I have heard before is that it is the part of you the watches from the mountain while you walk down the road.
  27.
  28. (4) Learning to lucid dream or astral project will definitely help with your chances. I am not going to go into those methods as there are many. There are guides on many forums (such as http://thespiritscience.net/ where this article was originally posted) as well as all over the internet. This is probably one of the most important aspects in order to Enter the Void, but not necessarily for bettering yourself. You must decide that yourself.
  29.
  30. (5) Learn and practice meditation if you don't already. Emptying your mind is the closest you will get to the Void in your physical body. It may even lead to leaving your body and entering the Void. A few tips are: find a quiet place to sit (or lie down if you find that more comfortable) and concentrate first on letting go of all your thoughts. It sounds easy but can actually be quite difficult especially if you think a lot, have a distorted belief system or have never meditated before. If a thought arises label it as thinking and let it go. Eventually let go of labeling your thoughts and you are getting closer to the Void.
  31.
  32. (6)Truly desire to learn, grow and be the true you. Many of us act out in so many different ways for many different reasons even though it does not align with our belief or who we are. We often conform to our environment (especially introverts), old beliefs, and preconceptions, which begins a battle between the ego and the I am. You can train yourself to recognize when you are doing this and perform an ‘awareness check’. The awareness check can be used for all sorts of realizations. For me I generally come to realization I am not acting out of my true belief and perform an awareness check without even thinking. It acts like a bombardment of questions that I already know the answers to, which picks me up and has me looking through a higher perspective. Some examples of when this happens to me are: when I make a judgement or assumption about someone, when I feel strong emotion fear/sorrow/ anger, if I tell a lie or fib, when I’m bored etc. Eventually you can reprogram your entire life by creating a strong awareness check along with a moment of pure ecstasy. Soon enough your old outdated beliefs will fall away and you will be filled with joy and confidence of who you truly are. A simple and meaningful ‘awareness check' is key though it must also be personal and made by you.

  35. My Experiences
  36. ========================
  37. Here I have posted a few of my experiences so that you may further grasp exactly what I am talking about.
  38.
  39. (1) My first experience occurred during my first intentional astral projection. It was one of my first attempts at astral projection but I had been practicing lucid dreaming for much longer. I went into meditation lying down on my bed for over an hour. Suddenly and instantly I found myself sitting at my computer. I looked over at my body and realized where I was. It felt different than my regular lucid dreams and I became excited and unsure at the same time. Just as that happened I experienced something I cannot really explain. The best description I can give you is that I fell backwards through my chair and the floor, and then pulled into myself. In that moment I entered the Void for the first time. I was completely detached from my human body and only aware of spatial dimensions. I awoke soon after.
  40.
  41. (2)My first unintentional experience, I originally wrote off as one of my best lucid dreams but now I believe it to be much more. I had recently passed my sacred geometry phase but a random thought had come to me. (What does it feel like to expand oneself into a flower of life?) That night I was having a lucid dream in which I can no longer remember (as it failed in comparison to what happened after). Near the end I knew I was about to wake up (lucid dreamers out there know the feeling). Instead of my normal struggles and techniques to stay within my own my mind, I just thought about how amazing it was to be where I was. With that I felt that moment of ecstasy in which I generally associate with unconditional love. Instead of waking up I found myself in complete darkness. The feeling was familiar and yet very strange. I cannot even really explain it in words. I could not see anything and yet I could see. I was aware but not sure what I was aware of. Suddenly that thought I had earlier in the day came to me and I began to expand my consciousness into a sphere. The potential to hold information grew and I could almost see and feel my perceptions and conceptions about just about everything. The most profound thing occurred next when I moved forward and created another sphere. In that moment I felt more unconditional love than I have ever felt before. My perceptions and conceptions were no longer
  42. information but experiences. It is beyond anything I can describe. (That moment is now my reference for ecstasy and for the Void) I quickly created the remaining spheres until I became the awareness of a three-dimensional genesis pattern. I don't really know what I felt for the remaining spheres because it was rather quick and my mind was still living off the ecstasy from creating the second sphere. I woke up instantly after its creation, fully aware and overcome with joy. I'll be honest, I cried a little at just how in awe I was. I am not entirely sure the meaning of this experience; maybe I just created it because I was looking; only my higher self knows (maybe you have an idea).
  43.
  44. (3)While my physical body slept I became aware that I was perceiving reality internally relative to my conscious mind. Once again I found myself a floating body of awareness surrounded in emptiness. I thought of my higher self and asked for guidance. The Void immediately turned into a scenario and I had my body again. At first I thought I was in a lucid dream but far more aware than my usual lucid dreams. I was fully aware that the world was my own creation and that I was being guided by a part of my mind far more aware than my conscious mind. My actions seemed programmed and synchronistic. I won’t go into details about the scenario as it has to do with a personal conflict I have with my ego. I don’t have a problem sharing it but it is probably irrelevant to your own lessons. At the end of the small charade, I fell back into the Void and was once again without a physical body. I asked my higher self if it had any last advice. A strange thing happened next; as a voice spoke I realized that I was also speaking. I could also vision the writing of the sentence in English next to some numbers and symbols. I (it) said “To fully perceive, all must pass through the Void”. Now you may interpret that as you will but it is something I have believed for some time now but wasn’t able to express or envision it until then. I awoke right after in ecstasy of what had just transpired. While analyzing what was revealed I learned a lot about myself and what I have to change.
  45.
  46. (4+) I have had a few other encounters with the Void but none as spectacular as these two. A few times I have witnessed colours and geometrical patterns, as well as fractals.
  47.
  48. ========================
  49. Conclusion
  50. ========================
  51. I hope this gave you an idea about what entering the Void really is. As I have said before I have entertained the possibility that this could all just be lucid dreaming but I personally doubt it. These experiences have changed my life more than any other lucid dream has. To me entering the Void appears to be a method of realigning one self’s ego/belief system/perceptions/preconceptions with their true self. Using the techniques to enter the void and entering the Void itself are powerful tools for achieving a more conscious and aware state of being. It encourages keeping your attention on your highest intention and facing the truth in every way it presents itself. This self fulfilling and perpetuating idea is certain to provide anyone willing with inner peace and happiness. My best advice which I know you have heard before is just, BE yourself. The Void will do the rest.
