「 LOVE LETTER」

↬ BACKGROUND ;  born in taipei, taiwan, wen's life had a small and cozy beginning. the first year of his life was spent in a small and homey apartment that managed to fit him and his parents. a few weeks after his second birthday, his father received a promotion at his job that was in korea. hoping for a better life for his family, he accepted the offer agreeably, and the family moved to busan. wen enjoyed the country, right up until he started school. at first, when people didn't want to talk to him much, he didn't understand why. what was wrong with him that people couldn't even tell him where the bathroom was? he was only a child, and nothing made sense to him. as a result, he essentially became closed off to everyone around him. later, he learned people didn't like being around him because he wasn't korean, but at that point, he didn't really care.

↬ PERSONALITY ; in the most literal possible way, wen can really only be described as a bitchy two year old. he loves messing with people, running around and pranking them every which way without a concern in the world. he's the type of person who has an eternal smirk sketched onto his lips, and an endless glint of mischief that could never even start to sum up the amount of trouble he's going to -- and already has -- caused. he's very loud and boisterous, always shouting and running around the dorm, his only goal to annoy his friends. at first, he seems rather harmless besides how irritating he could be, but rather, he's the complete opposite. underneath his loud and class clown-like persona, wen is a silent chaos waiting to be unleashed. he's probably the meanest member of the group (which is ironic when you consider they're all supposed to be flower boy like) and can ALWAYs be found picking a fight where there wasn't room for one to begin with. his temper is painfully hard not to trigger, and when he's angry, he's a sight to see. he's extremely temperamental and when he has something against someone, can go on an ultimate prank binge streak just to fulfill his vendetta. he absolutely HATES dealing with anything even vaguely emotional, and prefers to bottle all of it up. when it comes to tears or skinship or just anything that could make you feel ooey gooey inside, he completely chokes up, becoming awkward and literally having no idea how to act -- thats probably why when his members wants something from him, or for him to do something, they start showing an increasingly incessant amount of affection. wen is the most troublesome member of the group, but once being placed in it, his antics actually started dying down in intensity (and, rather unfortunately, increasing in quantity.) when he met thing 2, they instantly clicked and immediately managed to balance each other out. thing 2 made wen more manageable and, basically, more human -- he started to be more nice towards people, and his pranks started to actually be with the purpose of being funny rather than mean. additionally, he actually started to show more and more emotions, like, well, an actual human. wen, on the other hand, made thing 2 more adventurous -- he made thing 2 able to step outside of the box and actually experience things without the fear of people judging him, and managed to actually make him feel like he belonged somewhere. wen also kind of corrupted thing 2, but hey, nobody's counting.

↬ STAGE PERSONA ; he's EXTREMELY playful, and out of the members, smirks the most while performing. there's always something about his expression that screams mischievous. at first glance, he doesn't seem to fit the cute concept much, and almost seems better suited for the sexy one instead. he's the most likely to take a spin on the choreo, doing lil things here and there like lip bites or (subtle) hip thrusts that he really shouldn't be doing but still manage to drive fans crazy. on variety shows and interviews, and just in general, he LOVELOVELOVES to tease and make fun of his hyungs, embarrassing them on purpose as payback for the things they make maknae line do for them around the dorm and off camera.
