  1. --BALL%?
  2.
  3. At the Nintendo splash screen (the one where Yoshi says "Nintendo!"), press B, A, L, L. You get a confirmation if you do it correctly. With this code, stop time ceases to be a thing.
  4.
  5. --Stop time?
  6.
  7. Yeah, you know when you make combos and chains that the stack stops rising for a while, right? In the Endless, Time Attack, and Line Clear modes there's a clock that appears saying the word "STOP" along with a timer. When that timer disappears, the stack rises again.
  8.
  9. With the BALL code, that time where the stack stops rising after a combo or chain becomes nonexistent. Don't let that stack reach the top, now.
  10.
  11. --Wait, does this apply to the opponent too?
  12.
  13. IT DOES! <3 Just imagine putting just enough garbage on the opponent and the opponent losing IMMEDIATELY! So, so sick. Not to mention it makes the run faster.
  14.
  15. --How much faster?
  16.
  17. Just look at the current record. If you're absolutely perfect you could cut the current Japanese PDP record by two minutes.
  18.
  19. --So why don't you do this on every run?
  20.
  21. It's more-or-less a hidden option within the game. Hidden options in Puzzle League games haven't been the standard and they never will be. This is more or less a fun category.
  22.
  23. --Then why?
  24.
  25. You've got a point. I'm not one to dabble too much into "fun" categories.
  26.
  27. Then again, this is faster. Gotta go fast, right?
