[02:03] After dropping off the duo into his private room, the group soon arrived at the massive star statue upstairs within the church, a hand freely waving out towards the cushion as he paused his steps.

An eyebrow rose towards Abel's sudden words.

"You were not long ago willing to give your life for Deixis, and now you wish to see her dead. Such a drastic change."

It seems a lot could happen when he slept, or perhaps other matters were revealed. A spark of interest revealing itself in his blue eyes as he turned his attention between the duo.

"A lot to be revealed it seems. Deixis, you start. And then Emil can say his part. Because, it seems to me you were never collared and shackled to Duana Kurokaiyo."

[02:03] Deixis Hymn says, "I saw Sanna express a desire to embrace darkness."

[02:08] Abel Caillier says, "That you resigned from the church because you were afraid."

[02:09] Abel Caillier says, "You never mentioned that you left so that she could be killed."
[02:09] Abel Caillier says, "That the only fear you felt was fear of Duana retaliating."
[02:09] Deixis Hymn says, "I harbored a desire to hurt Sanna, yes."
[02:09] Deixis Hymn says, "I never said that I left because I wanted to hurt her."
[02:09] Abel Caillier asks, "Then why did you leave?"
[02:09] Abel Caillier says, "Tell me."
[02:09] Deixis Hymn says, "I left because Duana said I ought to, and I didn't want her to kill me at that moment, for being a deacon."
[02:10] Abel Caillier asks, "And that to you isn't being a hostage?"
[02:10] Abel Caillier says, "You left on your own accord Deixis."
[02:10] Pericles Vitalis asks, "Duana threatened you, or adviced you to leave Deixis?"
[02:10] Deixis Hymn says, "... I"m too stupid to be left alive."
[02:11] Pericles Vitalis asks, "It appears you let the words of a witch drive your actions, perhaps out of fear for potential consequences, but. Why did you not trust us to protect you if she was to retaliate?"
[02:11] Abel Caillier says, "No."
[02:11] Abel Caillier says, "She was friends with her apprentice."
[02:12] Deixis Hymn says, "Long before I knew about her occult tendencies."
[02:12] Abel Caillier says, "She wouldn't kill you. I wouldn't be surprised if you were studying under her as well."

[02:14] Deixis Hymn says, "Emil. If you really think I am a witch, say so."
[02:14] Deixis Hymn says, "I have no way to deny it, other than allowing you to smite me with holy magic."
[02:15] Pericles Vitalis says, "That won't be happening."
[02:15] Pericles Vitalis says, "No, I just wish to clear things up, The matter is becoming ever so more confusing."
[02:15] Pericles Vitalis says, "So, let me try and paint an image, and correct me where I am wrong please."
[02:15] Abel Caillier says, "I don't care whether you are one. I'd rather you be burnt at the stake as if you were one."
[02:15] Pericles Vitalis asks, "Deixis, you left a letter after barely speaking to Del within a confession, deciding to leave the Faith after Duana adviced you to do so. Sanna was a long time friend of yours that you only recently found out was a student underneath said witch?"
[02:15] Abel Caillier says, "You're worse than a witch. You're a bitch."
[02:16] Deixis Hymn says, "Yes... Yes. Yes, and yes."
[02:16] Deixis Hymn says, "It doesn't matter."
[02:17] Pericles Vitalis says, "Emil, a friend that wished to figure out what was going on chased after you. You both spoke, and he came to a conclusion that you were being threatened or under the thrall of Duana, and so he decided to head to Theria and kidnap Sanna to use as a bargaining chip agaisnt Duana."
[02:17] Abel Caillier says, "Hostage my ass."
[02:17] Deixis Hymn says, "Yes, Yes, Unaware of the last part."
[02:17] Abel Caillier says, "She was here, on the bridge, casually watching nothing."
[02:17] Abel Caillier says, "She wasn't scared, she wasn't being told to do anything."
[02:17] Pericles Vitalis says, "Yes, I can see that Emil. It's like Romani said before."
[02:17] Pericles Vitalis says, "That she left of her own free will."
[02:18] Pericles Vitalis asks, "There's no collar. Now, let me ask. Why do you wish for her to be killed?"
[02:19] Deixis Hymn says, "I don't know if I want that anymore. I did say that because..."
[02:19] Deixis sighs.

[02:19] Deixis Hymn says, "I let a darker part of me out."
[02:20] Pericles Vitalis asks, "And what did you do?"
[02:20] Deixis Hymn says, "I caused this mess."
[02:20] Edelaide Astaret says, "I need a medic."
[02:20] Pericles Vitalis says, "You're not the only one who cauesd this mess, miscommunication seems to be a common thing within Osrona."
[02:20] Edelaide bore the appearance of someone who just ran through a housefire.

[02:21] Pericles Vitalis says, "..."
[02:21] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Stellus, I will return after seeing to the wounded."
[02:21] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Come."
[02:21] Pericles Vitalis says, "Please do so. And, ask her what happened."
[02:21] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "On the bed, if you would. How serious are the wounds? What do they look like?"
[02:23] The creak of the mattress is but the only audible noise throughout the staunch silence of the room. Her gaze is severe, decorated by scorch marks all around her cheeks and neck. Her clothes are tattered and burnt in various areas, and dried blood decorates her in a sparse arrangement on pale skin.

If that wasn't enough of an answer, she didn't know what else would suffice.

[02:26] "I do appreciate your help the other day. Thank you."

None of the wounds looked particularly life threatening. That was a good thing. At the same time, it did not look like it was a single wound which had caused the lasting damage to Edelaide.

The first thing that Romani would do would be to use holy magic. The light would begin to slowly dull the pain of wounds, as well as outright close any of the smaller wounds that had been inflicted upon her. The bruises would also be tended to this way as his hand moved to her clothes, moving the ones that covered her neck and cheeks.

"Fire mage? What exactly happened?" He would ask. An ointment would be taken out of his back, and a brush would be used to smear the ointment on. The ointment would then be spread upon Edelaide's cheeks, as well as her neck to heal away the worst of the burns and tend to them.

Finally, water and a cloth are used to wash away the dried blood that covered her skin.

[02:33] There's the finest twitch in her brow. Words - harsh ones - were choked down in place of the sigh that eased from her when the pain subsided. Protracted quietude was the response opted with, until her lips parted to relay a firm reply.

"Sythaeryn. It's not the first time the fucker's done this, either, and it won't be the last. I'll kill that shit-ass the first chance I get," she growled. In spite of the anger that festered and reached a morbidly high boiling point, she couldn't deny that there was a glimmer of approbation that resonated within her internal monologue.

"And... Sure. Turns out the girl isn't as much of a damsel as she let on." The urge to spit venom was palpable, but she would withhold. "Pain in the ass."

[02:36] A small nod was made from Romani. A little bit more understanding as the last of the blood would be wiped away. Following this, the towel would be dipped lightly into alchol, lightly going over any wounds that would need to be disinfected. It would sting for a few moments, but it would certainly do it's job.

"I would advise against killing innocent people. However, this is a case where I know he constantly seems to harm others, and is a danger to society. As such, I can not fault you for your grudge." Romani admitted as he heard the growl. A bottle of water is taken out, offered to Edelaide.

"And very much so, by the looks of it. It sounds as if she was never held by Duana to begin with. It is something that I suspected, and suggested we act on." He nodded.

"Rest. Get as much bedrest as you can."

[02:38] Innocent was the furthest thing from her mind when she thought of that wretched little snake. Still, she was much too enervate to place an addendum in terms of her opinions. "Yeah. Thanks."

A creak and a shift, and her head laid upon the pillow provided.

"Hope that blows over soon."

[02:40] "You are welcome."

The bottle of water would be set down next to the bed for Edelaide to use at her convivence.

"Where was he, when he attacked you? And I also hope that the situation is solved soon. But at the time, it sounds like both people who have had the Witch influence them are here, and safely out of Duana's hands."

"That is a good thing."

[02:47] Not a movement was made to reach for it. Instead, her head remained in its stillness, eyes veiled by dark lashes.

"The Theria-Osrona bridge, where they typically stand around in wait for bandits. I can't speak much on the topic of Duana, but she's going to be dead, soon enough."

She wasn't the type to pull punches, this one. Every word was laced with distaste.

"Because of that bitch, I had to run back and forth between the two churches and nearly got caught up in an altercation on the bridge in an attempt to free Sanna. Not only will Duana be making her own bed of dirt before I wring the life out of her, but Emil is going to taste my fist once I get a good hold on his throat, too. The little-"

A cough cuts her words short. "... bastard."

[02:50] "I see. Did you engage him, or did he engage you? And is there a plan to kill Duana, or are you meaning that you have the intent to kill her as soon as you are able to?"

He seemed not to be bothered by her poison laced words, instead he looked to be overlooking the last of the injuries to tend to, as well as taking bandages and wrapping injured parts of her body in them.

"What sort of altercation on the bridge? Who attempted to free her? And I would ask that you not seriously injure Emil, if you can. He is a church member."

[02:56] "I've been trying to cut back on charging others, but he just... Breathes near me, and I get riled. He ran me down first. Look, it's- it's not anything I want anyone else to get involved in. His head is mine, and so is Duana's, as soon as I catch either of them in a favorable position."

If it's information he wanted, she wouldn't keep her reservations, so long as none of them posed as an obstacle in her objectives.

"I was nearly stopped, is all. Too fast. Anyway-

Emil. Yeah. I've known him for years, he's... An insufferable little prick and a creep, but he means well. I think the church has done him some good."
(Edelaide Astaret)
[02:59] "I can understand that. Still, I worry all the same." Romani nodded. "I am a medic, after all. It is our job to worry about our patients and doing what we can to make sure they are alright." Faintly, the sun and moon eyes would stare towards Edelaide before nodding again.

"I thought there might be plots in place to hunt down either. But both sound like menaces. I hope that you are one day able to take them both down. I will hope for your success." He nods.

"He is a boy who seems to have some issues. We all do. But I am happy to hear that. I hope we are making him a better person." Slowly Romani would stand.

"You know, if you get lonely, you could join us as well."

"I better go check on the others, and make sure things are going ok. You should rest for a while but I will not force you if you do not want to."

[03:01] "I'm a mercenary - I can't get lonely. The offer is appreciated, though. I'll probably wander around for a bit.

Thanks for what you've done here."

With all having been said, she steadily rises to a stand and steadies her balance. "See you sometime. The name's Edelaide."

[03:02] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I will see you Edelaide. I am Romani. And if you wander around, do feel free to stop and say hi sometime. Maybe I will have some extra food for you or something. I sometimes carry some with me."

[03:02] Romani cos Montclaire says, "May your path be bright. And I am happy that we can help him."
[03:07] The rhythmic tapping against his codex halted as Abel's demands left his mouth. Pericles's eyes merely stayed on the man, silent for a moment as he seemingly judged the person across the room to him.

"Such wrath Emil. You take Deixis's betrayal in such a personal way, and I can understand such, but. You foolishly kidnapped another in your blind pursuit of Deixis, when all you had to do was speak to us and more information could be found out."

"Rash, irresponsible. And now your hatred has blinded you. So easily willingly to offer pain to another. Think on your own actions, and do not allow such thoughts to blind you to the truth."

Pericles's steps led him towards the duo as he continued to speak, there was no amiable smile to be found on the Stellus's face as he looked towards Abel with such clear disappointment.

Although, there was no shock when it came to the man's words. He had truthfully expected it from him, for him to rage and wish to inflict pain on another that had caused him emotional pain.

"Calm yourself, look to the Stars for an answer. Because your wrathful emotions are currently consuming you and putting you down a path I do not wish to see you tread Emil."

"And.."

Words trailed, one of the Stellus's hands reached out with an open palm facing the ceiling towards Abel, a demand hidden within the request that left his mouth.

"Sanna's remote please."

[03:07] Romani arrives back from the medical room in time to see all this..

[03:12] Naturally that wouldn't make anyone happy. If only either of these individuals had been more truthful- Truthful in the sense that they didn't withhold any information or lied then the situation would be better.

Emil wouldn't be suspected of witchcraft or occultism and forced to go through something absolutely inhumane for the sake of helping a rather foolish young woman.

The situation wasn't favorable in the slightest. For her to be in his possession and practically tortured by him for however long?

Del didn't know what to say. Their lips parted but nothing came out. Instead, a concerned glance made to Pericles. Surely he wouldn't agree to something so appalling.

But what of Sanna and Cymbal? Their mind briefly shot to those individuals. Hopefully they didn't leave Osrona together... The Priest disliked all aspects of this situation.

"Don't let yourself be consumed with such an appalling wrath..."

Really. It was absolutely disgusting. Del felt their stomach churn and twist as they thought more on it.

"Think rationally. You've been caused pain yet you seek for it to be inflicted to her? She's apologized and felt terrible about the entire situation..."

Instead of continuing to chastise the man, Del approached Abel as he practically boiled over with anger. Two dainty hands rested on his shoulders before they pulled him into a very soft hug. Really, he needs it.

"And allow yourself to forgive those who have wronged you... You're a member... or were... Still, you've made yourself a Deacon of the Church... Let your heart align with that title..."

[03:13] Romani cos Montclaire whispers to Pericles Vitalis: How much did I miss?
[03:14] Pericles Vitalis whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: Emil wishes for Deixis to be collared, given the remote and allowed to freely electrocute her whenever he pleases.
[03:15] Romani cos Montclaire whispers to Pericles Vitalis: And Deixis' full situation? I do believe that, by the sound of it, she sounds easily swayed by the Witch and should be collared. I do not agree with him holding the remote, however, by the sound of it.
[03:19] Pericles Vitalis whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: A collar truly isn't needed, we can not simply collar all those that have fallen to the words of a witch. It would be a hunt against everyone that has ever spoken to one. Currently, she wishes to atone and seek forgiveness from Sanna and Emil. If not, she also wishes to kill herself.
[03:19] Pericles Vitalis whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: An annoyingly complicated situation. Hopefully Cymbal is still around to be spoken to about Duana, he said he had information to deliver..
[03:20] Romani cos Montclaire whispers to Pericles Vitalis: Until we have the fullness of the situation, I do advise a collar. At least a year if she was swayed. But very well.
[03:21] Romani cos Montclaire whispers to Pericles Vitalis: Edeliane fought Syn at the bridge. She said he attacked first. Tended to her wounds. She has a grudge against both Syn and Duana. I invited her to join the church, but she passed. I did tell her to visit sometime.
[03:21] Romani cos Montclaire whispers to Pericles Vitalis: She said Emil is doing better, now that he's part of a group.
[03:22] Pericles Vitalis whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: Syn? The drakanite from Theria I presume? I see..
[03:23] Pericles Vitalis whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: The collar. Hm, I only fear it would isolate her more, but, let's see how things play out.
[03:23] Pericles Vitalis whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: Hopefully Cymbal will perhaps offer more insight on everything.
[03:24] Romani cos Montclaire whispers to Pericles Vitalis: Correct. And ultimately, it is your choice, and not my own. I worry that will will be further corrupted and lured back to the witch if not collared. And hopefully.
[03:35] Abel pounced forward, hands claiming the upper area of both of Deixis's arms, stabbing into them with nails. Unbrittled rage persisted in his eyes, her very being a constant reminder of the harrowing events that preceeded this day. His entire identity shattered, the clergy and the city turned against him, subjected him to unbearable anguish. The scars litered across his body, the ritual that he was forced to undergo.

His jaw unhinged, a flood of shouting escaping from his rasped throat, spittle flying as he screamed with unmistakeable anger.

"I foolishly kidnapped a /witch's/ apprentice! You're right, I was fucking blinded! Blinded by this bitch's deceit and childish gambits! If she seeks atonement? She'll have to pay for it with her blood! If not? Otherwise you're free to dig her fucking grave for her, Stellus!"

Any pleas were promptly ignored. The stars would do nothing for him. It took a fool to believe that they condoned any of this.

"She feels terrible? A fraction of what I was forced to feel! My kindness comes at a price. And that title? The one she was so happily tossed away to go to the side of the witches? I'll undermine that duty if it means delivering this devil the suffering it deserves!"

[03:36] Romani quickly moves in an attempt to stop Abel from puncturing Deixis' arms.
(Romani cos Montclaire)
[03:41] Having just returned to the scene, Romani would have approached the Stellus, speaking to him in a hushed voice as Abel suddenly pounced forwards. As the boy did so, aiming to stab he with nails, Romani would move with his own speed. Suddenly, quickly, the Bishop's leg would move upwards, kicking the arms off course before Abel would connect to it, and right after?

Instead of harming the boy, Romani would just hold Abel in a tight hug.

"I will not say you did the wrong thing. I do not view taking people who were being corrupted by a Witch as the wrong thing. However, you did it for the wrong reasons. You should not seek to get to people out of rage, Emil. You need to help them out of the goodness of your heart."

Romani would continue to hold Abel, not letting him go, but not yet otherwise assaulting him.

"She does feel terrible. And I am in agreement with you, as I have voiced to the Stellus, she needs to be rehabilitated, in a collar. However, you should not strike her. You need to calm yourself."

[03:42] Pericles's body shifted at the change that happened in Abel, already he too was moving forward to halt the man's attempt on Deixis. There would be no blood shed within the sacred room on the Stellus's watch.

Hopefully.

Romani's movement to subdue Abel had Pericles's own halting briefly, positioning himself in front of Deixis as he stared towards the man consumed by anger. He had finally snapped, sadness tinting blue orbs as he started to speak.

"Emil. Emil, please calm down. This hate is caging all the good things about you. You're lost within your wrath Emil, you need time to cool down and realise that this is not the way you wish to deal with things."

The deacon before him was practical, his actions of instantly looking for a bargaining chip when he presumed Deixis had been kidnapped showed such a drive when it came to protecting those he cared for.

And now it had been corrupted.

A hand reached forward, encouraging, and looking to offer any semblance of support to the deacon as he squeezed the man's shoulder.

"Words Emil, please. There's no need to resort to violence in such a way, especially within this room. I still trust you, and still believe you wish to do the right thing."

[03:47] It seemed their embrace was otherwise avoided as he went to practically assault Deixis in such a sacred room. Their eyes widened and they're not as quick as Romani but they do move, and once more make an attempt to hug him. Alongside soon low, quiet words they emitted a gentle, warm glow. It's soothing in nature.

"Please calm down, Emil... Calm down. Breathe"

Their hold on him remained gentle.

"Don't allow yourself to be consumed by this rage. Please... She can be forgiven... And take steps to learn once more... You as well, even in this enraged state..."

[03:57] The attempted grapple of her arms was successfully thwarted, his arms flying into the air from the force of the blow. In the moment of his defencelessness? The three restrained him with acts of compassion.

The walls he had erected were impenetrable. The heart that they urged him to follow? Crushed and shattered, shackled by overwhelming malice.

"Do you want to know what I wish to do? I want to slice open every inch of her body! I want to take her by the neck and wring out everything of value out from her worthless being!"

The person that he was willing to risk his life for? They had disappeared. And with it went any semblance of sanity. The final ember of humanity that she helped ignite? Extinguished, gone without a trace.

His mental state had burst, his rationale completely gone. The offer that she had made to him before would normally be irresistible. The final step to completing the project that spanned years. An opportunity delivered to him on a silver platter, discarded and used as fuel for his hatred.

[04:02] It seemed that the hugging and talking to Abel would not work. The words of the others, the words for him to calm did not make purchase within Abel's heart. And in that moment? Romani would grab Abel's hand, pull it forwards, and stab it downwards, into the Bishop's own arm, drawing blood. Teeth would be clenched.

And he would keep it there. Holy magic would try to dull the pain, but in that moment he would not try to talk to Abel through words anymore. The boy was focused on drawing blood from Deixis, someone they saw as guilty, but perhaps hurting another who was not their intended would draw them out of it.

"Do you honestly just want to make someone bleed?"

[04:09] Pericles watched on, Abel's cry for blood only further causing his orbs to sadden. Perhaps it could of been avoided if he was to speak to those that had been harmed, a more direct approach by the Stellus when it came to the matters of current clergy members mental states.

But the damage was done, and Abel was currently suffering before him. And now so was Romani as his arm was used to draw blood.

"Let it all out Abel. Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent, you're not incompetent, you're an amazing light within the Faith that has aided other's in their struggles. It may appear to do good, but the good is only temporary, the evil left within you will be permanent."

The hand on Abel's shoulder never left him, smile seeking to offer any small amount of warmth towards the grieving man, someone who had felt the string of betrayal after he offered everything to them.

His own holy magic came into play, not only encompassing Abel, but the duo that looked to offer comfort to the man. Ethereal in its glow as it slowly stretched to pervade the room and offer the protective guidance of the Stellus's will.

Resolution held so deep in the magic, his desire to offer any small amount of support towards those that were ahead of him.

"We are here for you Emil."

[04:12] This only weighed on their already crushed mentality. It hurt to hear his words and his pain. To feel his anger has he lashed out. But these are angry words, like screaming into an empty void but there are three lights present for him, ready to help and guide.

But blood is drawn. It drips in this sacred room and the Priest's eyes just close, embrace still gentle, light still emitting from their person.

Del tried to find the words for him, in this moment. To be embraced, for light to seep into him. What words could they offer? Ones truthful and genuine.

"We care about you, Emil..."

[04:34] The act of self-harm performed by Romani garnered no effect on his unquenchable thirst nor did the comforting words or soothing magic. The ichor he wished to spill was possessed by Deixis alone. He had become utterly psychotic, the confession that was made clearly proving that. The story that he had kept underwraps all these years.

"I never cared about any of you! I don't give a fuck about the stars, I only joined to steal the remote of a Rhoynish animal! Leonaus can fuck itself!"

The effort he had put into the operation, the guise he had created, the plan he had devised had all gone to waste. The man was free from his indentured service, the length he had gone to complete his mission? Only burrowed him deeper into the lie he had made. All for a enigmatic woman he spited and for the man that later revealed everything.

It was only out of sheer luck that he decided not to press the accusations further. That his words were lost amidst the chaos of the alteration. He had thought that the admission was a long time coming.

The single prominent light during his time in the clergy had betrayed him. The suspicion he sought to dissuade had long been confirmed. The lies prior, the reason for the second identity had been exposed in the outburst.

"I don't even know why I bothered to stay this long. She was right, I should've cut ties long ago.."

[04:43] Pericles Vitalis says, "Romani. Apologies, but I need you to speak to Cymbal."

[04:48] The hug had not helped Abel. The compassion of others did not seem to break him from the hatred that his soul was putting him through. Even the act of harming another innocent person did not break Abel out of his stupor of hatred. The Stellus was kind. Del was kind. They were good people, and perhaps they would have eventually brought Abel around.

Unfortunately, Romani had a very different sort of upbringing, and after the battle through the illusionscape temple..

"You can say that. You can say you never cared about us. You can say you do not care about the things we worked for. But I do not believe that. I believe that you are good, Abel."

A holy power felt through the room, one of protectiveness and of duty.

"That is why"

Romani's fist would raise, suddenly slamming into the side of Abel's cheek.

"I need to snap you out of this obsession. Wake up, Abel."

[04:49] Unexpected.

Deeper reveals than Pericles had expected to leave the man's lips as he lightly tapped against the cosmic-codex within his grasp. An eyebrow rising even as the hand on Abel's shoulder further strengthened its hold.

Although this time it wasn't the pleasant feeling that was in the past.

"Remote? That would be Kofe's or Tea's remotes then, although I personally only held Kofe's."

The other remote had never entered his grasp, a frown soon formed across his visage as moments with Abel were recalled, the lie about being able to use magic, and then hidden identity he had used to wander around Esshar without worry.

His connections.

Edelaide. A constant companion.

It brought many suspicions to the mind of the Stellus. He wondered how many people would seemingly come to the Faith with plans of benefitting from the organization, instead of aiding others.

Cassy had done the same, and now Abel had admitted to such.

"And yet you didn't. You remained, even after the remotes were no longer needed to be acquired. Perhaps you realised there was a place for you within the Faith, a place where you could truly come to understand what it is you wish to achieve."

Years had gone by since the two Rhoynish guests of the Faith had been let go after all. Pericles's words came in a slow tone as he stared towards Abel, not offering any assistance as the blow from Romani came.

He too wished to strike out, but alas, he had an image to uphold.

[04:54] Cymbal Tenor asks, "Am I interrupting?"
[05:11] Unexpected silence had followed soon after, nothing audible except for the man's barbaric grunting. Realisation was starting to settle in, starting to root itself deep within the void that had been overrun with emotion. Stopped only by the fist smashing into his head, causing it to violently jerk to the side.

Tremendous pain spread across his face, his cheek taking on a scarlet hue before bruises began to emerge from it. He was speechless at first, the blow had taken him by surprise. Though, it was warranted by the heretical claims he had made prior.

"What the fuck.. do you think you're doing? Do you wish to be the subject of my ire as well? I.."

The voice that lacked any solidity eventually dropped off. It couldn't compare to the enraged state he was previously in. It seemed that with Deixis's silence, his reign of terror was coming to a halt. Remnants of reason prevented him from incriminating himself further, it told him that there was nothing else to say.

"I don't know anymore. All of you just.. fuck off. Go die for all I care, I'll make my own collar."

[05:14] Filia says, "Ah. Pardon me, I will wait outside."
[05:15] Cymbal had expected to arrive into a... Relatively, peaceful meeting, considering how much time they had to settle things before he decided to come up and check on them.

He did not expect to walk in to Romani punching Abel.
However, right now? He knows better than to try and step in, thinking it'll be preferred if they'll handle it among themselves.

So, for the time being? He'll simply sit down on the nearby bench, watching and wait for the current scene to end.

Romani would raise his hand, and blow lightly on the knuckles. Closing it, opening it, holy magic would fill the room to dull the pain from the punch. Finally, he would step forwards, grabbing Abel by the collar.

"The Stellus is right. You may have come for that reason. But you stayed. Not only that, but as misguided as your reasons were, you tried to pull two people away from a Witch. A good thing, wrong reasons, but good thing. Now come on."

Romani would release the collar, instead grabbing Abel by the hand.

"You have moped long enough, I think. We have work to do. You can say you do not know, but you are still a part of the church. So we are not leaving you yet."

With that he turned, seeing Cymbal. A small nod is sent their way.

"The Stellus just said to speak with you."

[05:17] Cymbal Tenor says, "I had hoped to speak with Pericles eye to eye, I'll admit."
[05:18] Cymbal Tenor says, "But... The sooner I can get Sanna freed, the better."
[05:18] Cymbal Tenor asks, "So, where do you want to talk?"
[05:18] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I do not blame you. I can fill him in. And here is fine, or the meeting roo,."
[05:19] Cymbal Tenor asks, "Here, then. The less people hearing, the better. You sure you can trust Emil, or Abel here?"
[05:21] Romani cos Montclaire says, "He is a member of the church, and was the one who knew Sanna was a student of Duana. I would trust him."
[05:21] Cymbal Tenor says, "The one who threatened, and claimed he would have tortured her had it not been for Edelaide's insistance against it."
[05:21] Cymbal Tenor asks, "On false grounds of occultism too, I believe?"
[05:21] Romani cos Montclaire says, "He is wrathful, no doubt."
[05:21] Abel Caillier says, "What I did was better than death."
[05:22] Abel Caillier says, "She was foolish enough to believe me. I could've had her executed."

[05:22] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I also know that a couple of people plan to punch him in the face."
[05:23] Cymbal Tenor says, "Do not try to talk and pretend that you are a good person, Abel. In front of my face, you joked and lied about Sanna's fate. And as Romani said? I am among those who wish to punch him."

[05:24] Cymbal Tenor asks, "But... Lets move on to a different topic, else I'll have difficulty holding myself in. But, first... How would I know that after I'll tell everything I have to tell, Sanna will be freed?"
[05:26] Romani cos Montclaire says, "It would be the Stellus that ultimately decides if she is freed or not. However, my opinion does often hold sway in matters. If I believe that it is good to free her, I can advise such."
[05:27] Cymbal Tenor says, "Hmm... This, does makes things more difficult, then. I wouldn't want to tell what I have, only for someone further up the leadership to deny it. Even if I do believe Pericles is a person of his word."
[05:28] Abel Caillier says, "Even if she's not useful to me anymore."
[05:28] Abel Caillier says, "She was still trying to study under Duana."

[05:29] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Unless I am granted other information, all I can advise to the Stellus is that she be kept in Orsona for an amount of time to ensure she does not contact Duana."
[05:29] Cymbal Tenor asks, "That... Does remind me. What happened with Deixis, if it is reasonable to ask?"
[05:30] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I believe the Stellus is still making a desicion on her. I had to step out to tend to a wounded person during the discussion."
[05:31] Cymbal Tenor says, "I see... I wish her well, myself."
[05:32] Cymbal Tenor says, "Even if I don't know what you all talked about with her."
[05:32] Romani cos Montclaire says, "She was swayed by a Witch. I personally have voiced that she should be collared for at least a year to ensure that she does not fall under the sway of Duana again. The Stellus thinks otherwise. And many things, honest."
[05:32] Cymbal Tenor says, "Ah, so that was it."
[05:33] Cymbal Tenor says, "You... May want to sit down."
[05:34] Cymbal lets out a sigh. As he might have suspected, seems the situation has gotten out of hand.

"It seems that I really should have been here for the talk about Deixis, considering I know most of what might have happened." The masked bard admits, looking towards Romani.

"So, while we wait for Pericles. Can you brief me in on what you know of Deixis' situation?"

[05:36] "In all honesty, I do not know as much as I would like to. I was not here to question in person." Romani would remind.

"She met a Witch. Talked to a Witch. Befriend a Witch. Found out she was a Witch. Left the church of her choice to be with the Witch. And came back."

Romani said, crossing his arms behind his back.

[05:43] Hearing Romani's answer, Cymbal decides it may be best to speak this with as much as honesty as he can.

And to that that? A hand would reach up, grabbing his mask, and taking it off, revealing a black cloth mask further underneath.
Next? He'll pull it off too, showing his face: Of a young man with clear blue eyes, black hair, and a mustache.

"The order of the story is wrong, then, and some parts are untrue."
Cymbal begins explaining, leaning in.

"Before she had met Duana, she spoke of mistrust against the church, back when I met her on Ilburg. In fact, she only met Duana after visiting Theria to speak with Sanna. As far as I know? She only wanted to find a new place to live in, to have a fresh start outside the church. We even prepared a bed for her to sleep for the time being to help her set her foot in Theria.

What I am trying to say, is that she planned to leave the church, even before meeting Duana."

[05:46] Romani gives a small nod.

"I can somewhat believe that. Who did she speak of mistrust to in Illburg? Although, I will admit, Stellus' Inante's desire to attack Illburg under false pretense does make sense as to why one would not trust it completely."

"There were bandits and attacks from there, but doing it as a false war was honestly the worst idea."

"Is this all you wished to share with the Stellus?"

[05:50] Cymbal shakes his head for a no. "I simply felt I should speak in defense of Deixis. I am certain we both do want for someone to be falsely judged. You spoke of Ilburg, and I saw how it ended up myself."

He'll lower his head, sighing as he thinks back on that time.
"As for who she spoke this mistrust? She told me, and probably whoever else that may have listened at the time. She did visit Ilburg at least a couple of times, with the villagers there growing to respect her neutrality on the matters."

[05:51] Abel Caillier says, "She mainly stayed in Ilburg."
[05:51] Abel Caillier says, "That's where I spoke to her first."
[05:53] Romani would give another miniture nod.

"You are correct. To judge her honestly would be for the best. Although, I will say I do not think that Deixis' judging will end up being my jurisdiction. I was not given the chance to fully hear her speak on the matter with the others."

"Anyone who would listen. That is fair enough, and perhaps she was able to find friends there as well. I do not honestly find that problematic."

[05:56] Cymbal Tenor says, "As for why I am here, though? Guess I'll have to wait for Pericles to return."
[05:56] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Very well. My opinion and advice will remain the same in regaurds to Sanna."
[05:56] Cymbal Tenor says, "This is... Sorry, I do not meant to belittle your responsibilites as part of the church here, but... I want to be certain I'll be able to let Sanna go free. To do that, my best bet is to speak with him."

[05:57] Cymbal Tenor asks, "But... One warning, at least?"

[05:58] Cymbal Tenor says, "Thinking that keeping Sanna in Osrona is the best way to keep Duana away from her, may backfire."

[05:59] Cymbal Tenor says, "If she leaves? She'll be leaving with either me, or to be left under her sibling's more stern watch, Cayden."

[06:05] Cymbal then turns his gaze back to Romani.
"I keep seeing those who claim to be right and just, end up pushing away the innocent into becoming their enemies. In fact? Duana's family is no different. A noble that grew to despite Osrona, and eventually learnt occult and sold her sold out of spite."

[06:09] "If things were simple? Perhaps innocent people would not be pushed into being enimies of each other. I would like a world where people did not hurt or harm each other. I want to help as many people as I can."

"However, I am also aware innocent people can be corrupted. Sometimes it is from 'just' people pushing them away. Sometimes it is by them being around evil people."

"If both paths lead to the same result?" Romani would look towards Cymbal. "Either way, I would rather true to correct the behavior. Because if I try, and it comes back to bite me? If I try to guide someone to a good path, and they fall to sacrificing people and selling their souls?"

"Then I know there is nothing that could be done for that person, in that case. But there may be others that are saved."

[06:14] A moment of silence passes as the bard listens in to Romani's words, trying his best remember them.
Instead of answering however? He'll breath out, looking down.
"The longer she stays her, the more I fear the path ahead of her may be a dark one. Growing to resent the church and Osrona.

What is the saying? The path to Hellheim, is paved with good intentions."

[06:16] Cymbal Tenor says, "Anyway... I should go back to Sanna. I've been away long enough, and I can tell that she has barely ate since she was taken here."
[06:17] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I will let you get back to her, and advise she be looked at, then. I would prefer to lessen the chances of her holding a grudge, but the situation as a whole does make it all difficult."
[06:17] Cymbal Tenor asks, "Then perhaps, may I have a request?"
[06:17] Romani cos Montclaire asks, "Hm?"
[06:17] Cymbal Tenor says, "I'll want the one who holds her remote, to be someone else."
[06:18] Cymbal Tenor says, "Knowing the remote will be with someone that does not wish her harm, or even seems to enjoy it like Abel? Would put my mind at ease."

[06:18] Abel Caillier says, "That defeats the whole purpose of having a remote."
[06:19] Cymbal Tenor says, "How? It can even be Pericles, the champion, that would hold the remote."
[06:19] Romani cos Montclaire says, "The choice of who holes the remote is ultimately up to the Stellus. Abel refuses to hand it over, so if the Stellus wished for someone else to hold it, he would have to take it from him."
[06:19] Abel Caillier says, "You're lucky you only have to worry for her safety."
[06:19] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Do tell if he uses the remote improperly, however."
[06:23] Cymbal's hands firmly hold the bench he currently sits on, eyes narrow to Abel, pondering what to do with the troublesome man, and then?

He'll look towards Romani.
"... I'm sorry, but I can not risk him, out of all people, still having the remote. One who acts more like an occultist than Duana herself. If he indeed refuses to hand over the remote, then I'll have to step in and take it to hand over to someone else."

[06:26] Romani stares at Cymbal for a few moments.

"Abel is in charge of guarding the remote. That means it is their strength to guard it. If he is unable to prevent you from taking it, he is unable. However, if you were to take it, I would then have to take it from you, as it is to be in clergy hands."

Romani said simply, arms remaining behind his back.

"Unless Abel wished to give me the remote of his choice."

[06:26] Cymbal Tenor says, "Handing it over to you is my intention, anyway."
[06:27] Cymbal Tenor says, "I can not risk him using the remote improperly out of spite. Not after everything he has said."
[06:28] Cymbal Tenor says, "So... What, will it be Abel? And don't try to raise the remote. Do that? I'll attack."
[06:37] His head canted, a crooked and broken smirk forming atop his visage. Patience had long been expended, the man now teetered on the edge, near the verge of breaking once more.

No hesitance was made when it came to displaying the remote. A device that he sought to tease him with. His thumb hovered over the controls, resting against the bottom button.

"And here I thought you were more sensible than her. This remote belongs to the clergy.. assaulting me in an effort to steal it would be a crime. Luckily for you, I intend on keeping it. So I suggest you cease your insolence before I end Sanna's miserable existence. In my eyes, she's nothing more than a witch. It's only inevitable considering how naive and guillible she is."

[06:39] Before Abel would be able to raise the display the remote, a burst of wind came out from Cymbal, pushing the hand aside- And hopefully, the controls away.

Enough time for Cymbal to stand up and put on his mask, holding his guitar in both hands as he gets ready for combat, playing a musical tune in preparation for battle.

"I gave you a warning, an attempt to resolve things peacefully and you refused it."
The bard finally cracks, anger seeping out of his voice.
The man has had enough of Abel's antics, getting ready for a fight!

[06:40] Romani waits, watching closely for the result of the fight.
(Romani cos Montclaire)
[06:56] Nothing can be more dangerous, than a man fighting for someone he loves. Fighting through the blood pellets and spores, Cymbal would keep fighting on, even recklessly charging in head on, allowing himself to get hit.

He isn't fighting for himself right now, but for Sanna. Whatever injuries he'll have after this battle? Will be worth if it he can rest easy knowing the remote will be under good hands.
Thus? He carries on, playing with his guitar in an attempt to keep pushing all that Abel is throwing at him- Vines, blood, spores and whatever else, fighting until Abel will no longer be able to keep on standing, knocking him straight towards the wall of the church, leaving an impact.

Attempting to rub the blood off from his cloak, only for it then stick to his gloves? He'll sigh, stepping forward towards Abel.

"I gave you an out."
As they fought, the remote over the collar's controls was pushed away to the wooden floor near Abel, now finally in the bard's, bloodied grasp.

He'll the remote carefully, turning to Romani... And hesitating, still uncertain if this is the right call.
However?

"I gave my word that I'll give you the remote, so that I'll honor it. Under one condition." He'll step in and hand the remote over to Romani, now covered in the blood Abel used to try and stop Cymbal.

"Don't hand it back to Abel, under any circumstances."
(Cymbal Tenor)
[07:00] "I have not intentions of giving the remote back to Abel."

Romani said simply.

"If I was going to ensure the remote would stay in his hands, by my abilities, I do think that I would have intervened in the fight itself. I do not mind that the remote itself is not help by Abel."

"As long as it is held by a member of the clergy, that is fine by me. I know that originally the Stellus wanted Del to hold it, and if they were here right now, I would advise such. They have a good heart. But they currently are not here."

If the remote was handed to Romani, the Bishop would accept it, and tuck it away into his pack. "I will ensure the remote is not used badly. And for all honestly?"

A glance towards Abel. "I did warn there were people that wished to punch you in the face."

[07:01] Cymbal Tenor says, "Punching? Would be the least of his worries."
[07:02] Cymbal Tenor says, "There is someone much stronger than me who worries about her, after all."
[07:02] Romani cos Montclaire says, "That is true."
[07:02] Abel Caillier says, "As if that witch cares about her anymore."
[07:02] Abel Caillier says, "She abandoned her."
[07:02] Abel Caillier says, "Sanna's absolutely worthless now."

[07:02] Cymbal Tenor says, "Not Duana. Cayden. The leader of the Kalvores."

[07:03] Romani cos Montclaire says, "Abel. Do not insult or insinuate people would be better off dead."
[07:05] Abel Caillier asks, "You told me to search for the truth, no?"

[07:07] With Abel's words, Cymbal would keep the remote tightly in his grip, turning it away from Romani, turning back to look at Abel, eyes giving a death glare underneath his mask, the anger flowing through his veins once more.

"...If this, is the type of person you let in the church, no wonder people treat it as worse than the occult."
A cold observation stated by the bard, as he'll start walking forward to Abel, slowly, the wind flowing out from with full force, powerful enough to dim away the flames that lighten up the church, before giving in to Cymbal's anger and being blown out into nothingness, darkening the church.

The intent by the bard is becoming all the more clear as he walks forward towards Abel.

The killing intent is all too clear to see, to feel it oozing out of the bard.
"...If you have a reason, any reason, for me to not try and kill Abel and walk away from the church, Romani? I'll suggest doing so, now."

[07:17] Regrettably, Abel knew the feeling all too well. The obtacles he climbed, the tasks he had done bore no fruits. He played right into Deixis's slimy, deceitful digits.

His actions now were representative of his true nature. The one he'd concealed to most that inhabited the city.

In a storm of organic matter, both solid and liquid, bones sprout from his body. In an hyperaggressive display, the ivory spikes travel towards Cymbal, moving in a twisted, jagged path. The way he fought reflected the emotions he felt.

Along with the vorpal barrage of collagen, nature was willed against Cymbal. Emalgams of roots that rested beneath the Church's floor ripped through its foundation, snapping open the planks of wood. Sharpened nails sliced across his forearms, letting blood which he'd soon weaponize against his attacker.

To no avail as he's blasted into the wall to his rear, collapsing to the ground. A smirk persisted on his face as he cough and hacked, releasing his hold on the remote, musing,

"Fuck you Romani. You better sleep with both eyes open."

To the reapproaching Cymbal he only cackled, his hand darting into the depths of his cloak once more.

"Kill me? Did you really think I'd kidnapped her without harm? I implanted a parasitic plant inside her, attached it to her veins. The roots replaced it, she supplemented by it. End me and the same will happen to your wife. Without my mana, it'll wilt. She. Will. Die.

[07:17] Romani would shake his head.

"I did not induct him, so I can not speak for him being brought into the church. However, as he is a member of the clergy, I am responsible for the protection of innocent lives. I can agree, Abel has some serious emotional issues, ones that I believe that the Stellus and Del want to be able to resolve."

"A Faith is only as good as it's members. A faith can only have as much faith as people are willing to put in it." It was a proverb that he somewhat lived by, closing his eyes for a few moments as the killing intent of the bard filled the air. And in that moment, Romani himself would slide from the side pews forwards.

"But he has not killed. He has not caused grievous, unhealable harm. And being rude is not a cardinal sin, so he stands as an innocent. If you try to take his life, I will have to prevent you from doing so. That is the reason I can give."

A small sigh as the holy mage just closed his eyes. Romani would put himself between Abel and Cymbal, looking the bard in the eyes.

"I also need to tell the Stellus to attend his meetings, and not send me to, if this is how they are going to end up."

With that, he did look back a little.

"Also Abel, keep your mouth shut and have human decency."

[07:22] The threat of Abel, however, just causes Romani to shake his head.

"I would appreciate it if you did not lie. It only makes your situation sound worse." He advised. "After this, I will personally see to it that this plant does not exist, and if it does, it will be removed, and Cymbal will have the right to kill you."

"You are not innocent if you threaten innocent lives."

[07:29] Cymbal's anger only raises as Abel speaks, his fury rising...
Not because of a lie, but a possible truth, a possible danger to Sanna's life.

"I do not believe what he says is a lie." Cymbal retorts to Romani, he can feel his hands almost shaking from anger, wanting to just choke Abel to death.

"I do not know if Abel's words about her getting killed if he dies, but it does explain what bothered me when I kept coming here...

She's malnourished, yet keeps insisting that she isn't hungry. If what he says is true? Then Sanna's life is in danger by his own hands."

As he says it, he walks forward towards Romani, holding the remote firmly in his grasp.

After this?" He'll raise up the remote, looking into it. Sanna's freedom is in his grasp.

"I can not trust Osrona. I can not the church. I'll be leaving with her. Do not try and stop me."

[07:34] This was the one thing he was hoping to prevent. And the reason why he was here. A small breath inwards is taken as he stared towards Cymbal, frowning. His fist curled upwards.

"It is a lie." Romani would assure, shaking his head. However, the words once said could not be taken back. Eyes closed, squeezed shut in anger. "Abel, after this I will see that you are penalized. Just a warning." With that, his attention was fully on Cymbal.

"You break your word. You say that you would give the remote to a Clergy member, and you lie. And I suppose it was my mistake in trusting you, as well as placing trust in Abel to guard the remote. In all honesty, all our mistakes."

"However, I can not allow you to free Sanna without the Stellus' permission. I can not risk someone falling back under the sway of a witch. For that, I will have to ask you to forgive me."

Holy magic welled up in the air around him, walking towards Cymbal. It formed as he took a deep breath in. Was he doing the right thing?

He was stopping someone from being murdered, stopping a jail break, stopping someone who might fall to the corruption of witches. If this was not the right thing, nothing was.

And so, he reached for the remote.

[07:48] Today was supposed to be a peaceful day... A simple talk to release Sanna under friendly, mutual terms.

Yet somehow? came what he should have had expected as a possibility. Abel kept pushing on his buttons, and with him representing the church?
It was only a matter of time before Cymbal would have decided that enough is enough, and fought for Sanna's sake.

He still give them a chance to end things peacefully, and yet? Abel's words, Abel's threats, kept ruining those chances each time.

And so, Cymbal kept pressing on, reluctantly fighting against Romani- Who for all intents and purposes, was a capable, worthy foe.
But, this won't be enough to stop Cymbal's determination to saving Sanna, with the bard preserving through the onslaught, waiting for the right time to strike, and eventually?

He finds his opening, riffing on the guitar to create a powerful shockwave of wind and sound, knocking Romani down, and taking the wind out of him.

"I wish things didn't have to be like this..." As he says this, reaching to grab the remote?

The champion would make an untimely appearance, causing Cymbal to sigh, disappointed about how this day kept going.

"You... Really should have picked someone else to trust the remote with, Pericles. Letting someone who kept talking about him wanting to see Sanna die, and then claiming he has infected her with a parasitic plant?

Was a really bad call."

[07:51] It was as if he just felt like the world was penalizing him for trying to do the right thing. It was just like the moment on the bridge from not long ago, fighting the bandits.

Failure.

Every time. Every single time. The protecting holy magic would fly out, trying to get the remote back from Cymbal. His feet moved across the floor, rapidly trying to close the distance between him and the bard, to swipe back what he viewed as the device to stop another falling to darkness. And yet..

It is not that Cymbal lacked in purpose either. Every stroke of that wind, touch of the gravity increasing, the sound rupturing in his ears. It was a true fight between mages, one that Romani had been hoping to win.

But couldn't. Holy magic ever shifted, ever tried to help him reach more and more forwards. But it was always just out of reach.

A claw of the holy moved forwards, but at that exact moment, the guitar rift ruptured the air, sending Romani spiraling through the pews. The Way of Bravery glowed, he tried to get back up, but he did not have the strength to stand. Only pant heavily.

[07:56] Down the stairs and through the eastern wing of the church Pericles moved, measured steps with a clear goal behind them as he entered into the church's main hall.

An acolyte within the clergy had already informed him of the ruckus going on, although, he didn't expect to run into Romani fallen on the ground in front of Cymbal. The hooded man's words piercing through the veil of confusion that warped itself around the Stellus's mind.

The image became clearer, a frown overtaking the usually amiable man's visage as a hand found its way towards Caladbolg's handle, drawn out of the sheath as he stared towards Cymbal.

"You've assaulted a member of the clergy within the church. After I invited you inside so we could talk about how to proceed with matters."

Pericles's voice only rose in its intensity, fingers digging into the handle of the blade as an aura of holy magic soon engulfed his form, a tint of rage revealing itself within his blue orbs.

"The remote was going to be removed from Emil's possession, especially after recent matters that were uncovered. All you had to do was wait, and now, you've only made things worse."

"Emil is currently not in a state of mind to speak truthfully, too focused on harming other's with his words and actions."

Slowly the blade's edge took a more dull form, holy energy running along the weapon's form as he took a step forward, the resolution held within his gaze and aura would easily reveal his intentions.

To strike out.

"Stand down, and surrender yourself. You've only made things worse for Sanna, and you have now painted a target upon your own back."

[08:05] Cymbal sighs. He should have expected things to be like this, yet he couldn't let his emotions be held in check.

"I couldn't wait forever, not with him threatening her life like this in front of me."
Having said that? Instead of trying to fight? He'll put the remote on the ground, just in case.

"I didn't come here expecting a fight, but to share information.

The possible location of Duana, in exchange for Sanna's release. Let Sanna go, and you'll have my honor as a Kalvore, I'll tell you everything I know about Duana."

[08:10] Even as the tensions lessened, his sword remained drawn as eyes tracked along to the remote that was placed back onto the ground, an index-finger began to drum along into his side.

Decisions to be made by the Stellus.

"I can understand why you would act in such a way, especially for someone you care for. Emil is unfortunately not in the right state of mind as of late due to recent reveals."

"But. You've assaulted those under my care in your pursuit to free your loved one, good intentions perhaps, but chaos as been brought forth. The location of Duana should be freely given, she's a witch and someone that was no doubt using Sanna in one of her plots."

That was something his tone held a tint of confidence to, his view towards Witches and those soaked in the occult was no doubt well known already. Blue eyes slowly left Cymbal's form to look across the church's hall.

A sacred interior for Pericles, damaged in such a way.

"Sanna will be safer within Osrona, yes? Duana will no doubt wish to harm her after she has been revealed as one of her students, presuming that she has revealed information about Duana."

"Help me find Duana, and while we search allow the church to watch over Sanna. For her own safety away from the witch that had slowly wormed her way into your beloved's mind, I promise the collar will be removed if you acquiesce to my request, a sign of trust I would hope."

[08:24] Gratitude filled Pericles's eyes as the chance of exchanging blows with the man came to an end. The remote that was offered over towards the Stellus was accepted by an outstretched hand, briefly examined before pocketed away.

"Underneath it..?"

A reveal he wasn't expecting, eyes sharpening as he looked down towards the carpet of the church's halls, recalling his past adventures into the intricate sewer tunnels that laid below.

Such a crafty woman if what Cymbal has said was true.

"I see why you wouldn't wish for Sanna to be within Osrona, especially if the witch has decided to return back to the Shimmering City."

Murmurs escaped his lips as he made his way towards Romani, Caladbolg finding its way back into his sheath as an experienced eye roamed across the bishop's form for injuries.

A hand soon reaching out to aid them to their feet, holy magic pervading throughout his friend's body to offer comfort, to ebb away any pain and injuries that were inflicted onto him.

"Apologies Romani. I didn't think things would turn this way."

Sincerity within his tone as he lightly dipped his head towards the man in apology, before attention was back onto Cymbal as the hunt for Duana Kurokaiyo further led down a path.

If word was true, she was ever so close.

"If you have an idea of her location, a future assault with others would be a better approach, when she least expects it. But Cymbal, how did you come across this knowledge, and do you know of anyone within Osrona that looks to aid her?"

[08:31] "I did not expect it to go this way either."

Groans of pain would leave Romani, helped to his feet by the greater holy magic of Pericles. A frown was on his face as the Bishop peered towards Cymbal, but between the time and his vision fading in and out, it was already becoming difficult for him to fully stand. Instead, he simply raised a finger towards him.

"I do not fault you for taking the remote from Abel. If I did, I would have fought you then, and there when you tried. But I do fault you for taking advantage of my trust in you."

"I would ask for you not to lie again. If you say you are going to do something, fulfill your word. If people break their words, go back on that trust that can be had? Then there is no hope for anyone."

With that, he turned to look towards the Stellus.

"Abel said there was some sort of parasite or plant in Sanna. Check it out for Cymbal, if he has not brought it up already. It is surely a lie, but,"

He turned, looking towards the bard. "I said I would, but he does not trust me. He should have someone he trusts check. And I believe that is you, Stellus."

He would let his finger fall.

"I just want as many people safe as possible. So I am not going to bare a grudge for this. But I do need to rest. I find myself exhausted."

[08:34] With the tension finally fading out of the wind, lowering the pressure Cymbal had felt throughout this entire mess?

Cymbal would take the chance to sit down on one of the church's benches, catching his breath. Romani wasn't an easy fight, especially not inside close quarters.

"When Sanna left, without me knowing where she might be? I was devastated, stuck in my room until her sibling Cayden came looking for her. It was then when we decided to venture forth, searching for every crook and cranny we could find." Cymbal looks down on the ground below. This, is not a memory he likes to remember.

"We had someone with us who came along. One who knew the residents that live in the sewers. One of them, has shown us the path, showing us every possible location Duana could be found in- Including the place where she might be living in. An underground town underneath of Osrona."

Feeling he starts regaining his strength after theprevious ordeal he had to handle in the church, he'll raise his head once more, eyes focused straight towards Pericles, filled with determination.

"If you want, I can tell you the name of the one that was our guide for the sewers. If you do go after him though, I'll suggest you won't try and use force. Either through persuadion, or by having someone you'll trust act like he is merely looking for Duana. That is how we got him to show us the paths."

[08:45] Arms came to cross over Pericles's chest as he patiently listened in to Cymbal's words, a quiet hum sounding out at the next reveal, the next piece of the puzzle when it came to actively finding Duana Kurokaiyo within the sewers.

Truly she was bold if everything Cymbal said was true.

"That would be appreciated, the name and appearance of the one who was capable of leading you towards this underground town. The information will have to be verified first, and now it seems I'll once again have to speak to the King."

A meeting that would hopefully not drag on, other matters appeared in his mind that were meant to be transmitted to the ruler awhile ago. Alas, he was busy and forgetful.

"Thank you Cymbal for the information, and, apologies for the words Emil spoke."

A smile finally broke on Pericles's lips as his grip around the cosmic-codex forever held within his hand lessened, lips further curling into an amiable smile.

"We can go further from there, and, Sanna's collar will be removed. But, she should never have contact with Duana Kurokaiyo again, she was an apparent student underneath the witch. Perhaps lulled in by sweet promises, it should never happen again."

"Although, I would like for her to remain within the Shimmering City for at least a few more months."
