- My game won't start
- ·Make sure the contacts are clean on both sides of the cartridge. If necessary use rubbing alcohol or water and rub the pins clean.
- They shouldn't be black or white or greenish.
- ·Some cartridges you might need to push to the left or right to make them work,
- sometimes you even need to tilt it a little.
- There was a blackout/issues with the power cable/other power issue and now my N64 won't start
- ·The N64 is probably just fine. Let it be unplugged for a few hours, this might take up to a few days even.
- The japanese game won't fit in my US console/the other way around
- ·Option 1: Take off the cartridge's back and switch it to a cartridge from the correct region.
- For the screws look up 3.8mm gamecube/n64 screw driver
- ·Option 2: Region free your console if you have a dremel/drill/4.5mm screw driver http://bombch.us/nMZ
- Either open it up and cut the plastic away or put something to keep the slot open, cover all the holes with tape
- and use dremel/drill through the cart slot.
- Its so blurry I can't see anything
- ·Composite cable (yellow) looks pretty blurry on N64. Get an S-Video cable.
- I can't spirit hover anymore
- ·N64 resolution is so low that more that just the working angle look the same on the map. Use the same visual cue but try to angle
- as far right as possible.
- It lags so much
- ·Hold Z whenever you can. Its really helpful in places like Kakariko, DC, deeper in BotW and while super sliding.
- ·If you lag while talking (to Talon for example) find an angle where there's not much stuff on the screen.
- Link keeps grabbing and climbing up the graves.
- ·Hold A.
- Link keeps jumping the graves.
- ·Backwalk/side walk/side hop/backflip/dry roll, don't run or roll fast. And hold A of course.
- Deku to bongo no longer works.
- ·The text is different depending on the version. You might need a version specific setup.
