  1. >Eventually, the silence in the room was unbearable.
  2. >Sunset could stand it no more and so she broke it.
  3. >“So should we start?”
  4. >“Ugh. I dunno,” said Rainbow Dash, trying to hide the sneer on her face. “I still can’t believe this is happening.”
  5. >She walked over and sat on the bed in the corner of her room.
  6. >Sunset followed and sat beside her.
  7. >She felt a frown press into her cheeks as she did.
  8. >“Uh, is this a twin?”
  9. >“A what?”
  10. >“Your bed. It’s small.”
  11. >“Well, duh. I’ve had it since I was, like, eight,” scoffed Rainbow Dash.
  12. >“Do you even fit in this?”
  13. >“I dunno. How do I know if it fits or not? It’s just a bed.”
  14. >“Yeah,” said Sunset, “a bed we’ll be in /together/.”
  15. >She looked to the digital clock next to the bed.
  16. >It had only been six minutes since they were downstairs.
  17. >She sighed.
  18. >“Look, why don’t we—”
  19. >“This is so stupid!” huffed Rainbow Dash.
  20. >She shot up from the bed, tossing her hands in the air angrily.
  21. >“Like, why’s it gotta be me? What the heck did I do? I-I don’t wanna do this!” She pointed at Sunset. “Heck, I hardly even KNOW you!”
  22. >“Well, maybe that’s why we’re doing this?” wondered Sunset. “Maybe Pinkie’s trying to get us closer or something? It’s weird, but y’know, so is Pinkie...”
  23. >“But I don’t care about how close we are!” growled Rainbow Dash. “I like how close we are! It’s totally fine the way it is!”
  24. >“Yeah, well, at least we feel the same about that,” said Sunset.
  25. >She massaged her forehead.
  26. >“Y’know what? Forget it. Let’s do this, let’s get this over with, and never talk about it ever again.”
  27. >“Pssh! We already barely talk.”
  28. >“Then even better!” said Sunset in a harsh tone.
  29. >With an annoyed sigh, Rainbow Dash sat down on the bed again.
  30. >Sunset closed the distance between them by scooting closer.
  31. -
  32. >“So,” she said, and curled her toes nervously, “how do we start?”
  33. >Rainbow Dash looked at Sunset, curling her upper lip into a sneer.
  34. >“‘How do we start?’” she repeated back to her friend, then scoffed. “Whaddya mean ‘how do we start’? We’re about to fuck each other against our will!”
  35. >“Rainbow,” said Sunset angrily. “I am about to lose my FREAKING VIRGINITY to you. Can you at LEAST be a little more helpful!?”
  36. >“Ugh, fine! I’ll...take the lead and you try to follow me, okay?”
  37. >This time, it was Sunset’s turn to sneer.
  38. >“‘Take the lead and try to follow you’?” she parroted back to Rainbow, shaking her head. “What is this? Call of Dignity!?”
  39. >“Well, I dunno! I don’t like girls!”
  40. >“Well, neither do I, Rainbow! But guess what we’re about to do!?”
  41. >Rainbow looked at Sunset’s teal eyes, felt the nervous intensity in them, the exact same as her own.
  42. >She took a breath.
  43. >“Okay, listen up,” she tells Sunset Shimmer, “I’m...n-no, /you/ are going to kiss me, ‘kay? And then...” Her face turned several shades redder. “...and then I’ll, um, take it from there, I guess.”
  44. >Sunset swallowed the lump in her throat.
  45. >Nodded silently at Rainbow Dash
  46. >“Alright,” she said.
  47. >“So, are ya ready?”
  48. >“Yeah,” said Sunset. “Ready.”
  49. >She wasn’t lying this time.
  50. >With a self-soothing breath, she closed her eyes and began to lean forward.
  51. >Then, with anxiety pulsing through her veins, Rainbow Dash did so as well.
  52. >Then, touch.
  53. >The feeling of touch — something against Rainbow’s lips.
  54. >Lips on her lips.
  55. >They moved slowly, strongly — they moved well.
  56. >They felt soft.
  57. >Like pillows.
  58. >Cushiony in a way she could definitely get used to.
  59. >Somehow, Rainbow Dash mustered up the courage to open her eyes and was met with an off-putting view — a kiss.
  60. -
  61. >It was a kiss from Sunset Shimmer whose eyes were closed so softly, her breath so gentle as she exhaled that it tickled Rainbow just a little.
  62. >It was a kiss, soft and tender, warm and sweet.
  63. >But it was with Sunset.
  64. >It was with a girl!
  65. >Rainbow Dash crinkled her nose.
  66. >She couldn’t get used to this.
  67. >She wasn’t supposed to!
  68. >She didn’t like girls!
  69. >She never had and she never would!
  70. >Suddenly, Sunset peeked open an eyelid and caught Rainbow’s off-looking expression, saw the strange conflict in it.
  71. >She pulled away from the kiss with a shaky breath.
  72. >“W-what’s wrong? I can’t be that bad at kissing, can I?” she said jokingly, yet Rainbow could hear the worried timidity in her voice and looked the other way.
  73. >“N-no,” said Dash. “No, you’re good.”
  74. >She rolled her finger around her thumb and hoped to God she wasn’t blushing too much.
  75. >“Actually, you’re kinda too good...”
  76. >“...Oh,” said Sunset. “Uh, thanks?”
  77. >“No, no, no, that’s not a good thing, though,” stammers Rainbow Dash. “You don’t, I-I dunno, kiss like a guy or whatever! It, like, breaks the illusion, y-ya know? I can’t pretend it’s not you...”
  78. >“...Oh,” said Sunset again. “I see.”
  79. >She still felt strangely flattered.
  80. >“Ugh! Know what? Whatever!”
  81. >Rainbow Dash gave up with a groan and lunged forward at Sunset.
  82. >She began to kiss her quickly, her eyes shut tight as she went to town on her.
  83. >Sunset was bewildered, startled, but as her lips mushed tantalizingly against Rainbow’s, she decided to hungrily kiss her back.
  84. >She didn’t know why she bothered to kiss her so well.
  85. >Embarrassed, she quickly tried and imagine she was making out with someone else.
  86. >She tried to imagine Flash Sentry, then Big Mac, then that new handsome Janitor at school…
  87. >Nope.
  88. >It just wasn’t possible.
  89. >None of the images felt right.
  90. -
  91. >Suddenly, Rainbow Dash stops herself from committing any further sinful debauchery, holding her hands up at Sunset Shimmer, signaling that she cease her wrongness as well.
  92. >She does so but is baffled as to why.
  93. >“Rainbow Dash, why has thou stopped?” she asks. “Is the introduction to our youthful throes of passion among the same sex, that of which we are under obligation to undergo with regards to our dearest Pinkamena, so horrid that thou wishes not to continue, despite her threats?”
  94. >Rainbow Dash shakes her head.
  95. >“None of the sort, my dear former unicorn, and I do apologize if I’ve offended thee.”
  96. ?She rises from the bed pointing her finger diligently t’wards the heavens well beyond her ceiling and proudly speaks forth: “But I’ve no fear of thou who shall hurt my body...over He who judges my soul!”
  97. >Perplexed and intrigued, Sunset Shimmer crosses her arms in heretical suspicion and arrogance.
  98. >“Ah, and whom judges thy soul, Rainbow Dash? Whom is One of such might that judgeth thou worth and acts?”
  99. >The loyal Rainbow Dash scoffs.
  100. >“His name is known, for His name is Law,” she says. “And He judgeth us upon sin! The sin which hath nearly corroded our purity away with and surely shall if we pursue our unrighteous path!”
  101. >“Our unrighteous path!?” sneers the nonbeliever. “And for what is His concern of /our/ path? What be sinful of our path anyhow?”
  102. >“Why, the breaking of thou’s virginity, of course!” says Rainbow Dash. “For thine own’s arrogance which leadeth thee to ignore the Lord’s wishes shall ensure thou rots in Hell!”
  103. >“And this is so?” asks Sunset, the full grasp of her Father’s power overcoming her. “Whom sayeth that such is the Lord’s will?”
  104. >Rainbow smiles, placing her hand upon her dear disciple's cheek.
  105. -
  106. >“My dear summer child,” she says, “in 1 Corinthians 7:2, Paul hath wrote to the Corinthian church about the commands concerning marriage and abstinence.”
  107. >“And what doth he sayeth, Rainbow Dash? What doth he sayeth?”
  108. >“He sayeth:‘since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.’”
  109. >“And is that all?” asks Sunset. “There is no more who oppose our ‘sin’?”
  110. >Rainbow Dash slaps the blasphemy out of Sunset’s face.
  111. >“Doth thou not fear the Lord!?” she roars with the might of The Christ. “Of course more oppose such licentious degeneracy! For in Galatians 5:19-21 of the Good Book, it is said: ‘Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn thou, as I warned thee before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.’”
  112. >The Sunset wept, cradling the red mark of Rainbow’s Christian hand upon her golden cheek.
  113. >“But tis so unfair! What of love for another?”
  114. >“WHAT OF LOVE FOR THE LORD, BLASPHEMER!?”
  115. >Rainbow doth slapped her again.
  116. >“Does thou knoweth what be written in Hebrews 13:4? The Good Book sayeth: ‘Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous!’”
  117. >She lurches for the golden girl's shirt collar, a fire of divine rage in her eyes.
  118. >“Sunset! Thou art guilty of wicked sinfulness! Thou art a Whore! Repent! Repent for the glory of God!”
  119. >“But I—”
  120. >She is struck by Rainbow Dash’s holy fist, the sinner’s blood staining the bed covers as she wails in shameful disgust at herself.
  121. >“Repent!” demands Rainbow Dash. “Repent! Thy soul is not yet damned! Repent, child!”
  122. -
  123. >“I...I repent! Praise the Lord, for he is great and for he is — augh!”
  124. >A second strike.
  125. >Her eye swells with bruised flesh as she bawls like the newborn Christ.
  126. >“Use a capital ‘H’ filthy blasphemer!” demands Rainbow Dash in a scream. “And say it once more!”
  127. >“I repent!” bawls Sunset, her hands stretched heaven-bound. “Praise the Lord, for He is great and for He is One!”
  128. >“Yes!” cries Rainbow Dash! “Thy soul hath been saved!”
  129. >Sunset wipes away her tears.
  130. >“I thank thou, Rainbow Dash. The Lord’s light shines its divinity down upon my unworthy visage.”
  131. >“It is good, my child,” says Rainbow Dash, cupping her disciple’s cheek. “It is good.”
  132. >Suddenly, Applejack bursts through the door, the rest of the girls behind her.
  133. >“Rainbow! Sunset! What the hay are you two yellin’ about in there!? We didn’t think ya’ll would /actually/ try to…”
  134. >Applejack stops.
  135. >She looks at the two, sees the red, hand-shaped marks on Sunset’s face, the righteous fury that had just cooled down in Rainbow’s eyes.
  136. >The farm girl sighs.
  137. >“...God DAMMIT Rainbow. First Fluttershy and now ya got Sunset, too?”
  138. >FLuttershy peeks in through the shattered doorway.
  139. >“Hail Mary full of Grace,” she says.
  140. >And all was good.
  141. Amen.
