  1. What's the world record?
  2. 35:47 by Fripic.
  3.
  4. What's your PB?
  5. 38:51 real time, 37:12 without loads. Here are the leaderboards: bombch.us/KAQ
  6.
  7. What difficulty do you play on?
  8. Easy, as we get more from mana potions so we can blink more.
  9.
  10. Is there a run for no kills and no detection?
  11. Yes, that run is called NLG, or non-lethal ghost. I don't run it, but the world record is 43:33 by Derkman12345.
  12.
  13. Did you/do you/will you play the game normally?
  14. I didn't enjoy the game normally, so no. I only enjoy the speedrun, personally.
  15.
  16. Why are you climbing the wall and jumping off the building at the start?
  17. It allows us to skip a cutscene where we talk to Emily, and it saves about 16 seconds.
  18.
  19. How does climbing walls like that work?
  20. We're not totally sure, but we think they stack invisible barriers rather than making one solid barrier. Because of this, the character can sequentially climb each one to the top.
  21.
  22. How come you can go through walls and I can't?
  23. We play on version 1.2, which is an older version. It's the last patch where you can go through walls and potentially other glitches that I'm not sure of personally.
  24.
  25. Why are you always putting away your sword?
  26. Corvo runs faster without his sword out, but we also want to be able to blink, so we do a trick called swordless where we put away our sword and pull out our secondary during that animation.
  27.
  28. Can I do these glitches on console?
  29. You can do all of it on console as long as you're running version 1.2 or earlier, except the Prison skip. Prison skip requires a rather high framerate that consoles can't achieve. There's a low framerate version that consoles can do, but I don't know it.
  30.
  31. Can you do a run without using glitches/cheating?
  32. Glitches aren't cheating and are a very large part of speedrunning any game. Some people do run the glitchless category, but I don't. You can find those runs on the leaderboards linked earlier.
  33.
  34. Why are you sliding around backwards at the start?
  35. At that point in the game, all there is to do is wait, so it's just for fun.
  36.
  37. Why do you slash the empress after shooting the assassins?
  38. Nothing else to do.
  39.
  40. So you just casually land on Samuel's head and that's totally cool?
  41. Pretty much. Landing on somebody negates fall damage, and as long as we're crouching when we land on him, 99% of the time he won't aggro and give us a game over.
  42.
  43. Is there any RNG in the run?
  44. Guard head movement is RNG, but it doesn't affect this category much. Golden Cat has RNG regarding where the Pendletons we have to kill spawn. The difference in the two lucks is about 5 seconds, and we can tell which luck we got by whether or not there are red lights outside of the door directly in front of us after getting the rune. Boyles are all luck as well; there's a 1/3 chance to get a note in the first room we enter, telling us which Boyle to kill, and there's a 1/3 chance for that note to tell us to kill the fastest Boyle. We can tell if we got that note by whether or not the painting to our left upon entering despawns. There is very unimportant RNG in where the bricks spawn at the start of the actual gameplay in Flooded District and a little bit more important RNG in how many it takes to break enough boards.
  45.
  46. Which ending do you get?
  47. We get the low chaos (good) ending, as it saves time in dialogue and happens to coincide with the fastest ways to do the missions.
  48.
  49. How do you have the without loads time on your splits?
  50. Project NoLoads (forum.speeddemosarchive.com/post/project_noloads__a_collection_of_automatic_load_time_removal_tools_for_pc_games.html) supports Dishonored and a bunch of other popular speed games, timing loads and automatically splitting at the proper times.
  51.
  52. Does anybody else hear "swag" whenever he blinks?
  53. Please no.
