- Cake:
- 2 cake pans
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 3/4 flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Frosting:
- 6 ounces chocolate (chopped)
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 2. Mix dry ingredients
- 3. Mix wet ingredients
- 4. Combine wet and dry mixes
- 5. Pour batter into into both cake pans
- 6. Bake for 30-35 minutes
