- Jump #138: Schlock Mercenary
- I downloaded this back in thread #877. I'm not sure why it's not on the drive; the drive won't accept it, it seems. It's marked as a WIP, but missing very little. Wonder whatever happened to the author?
- >Ace of Wands (The seed of a new venture - perhaps as yet unseen. An opportunity to be met with boldness, vigor, and enthusiasm.)
- >Location: Free Choice (Luna)
- >Identity: Drop-In, Human
- >Drawbacks: Big Words (+100)
- So what if I select not to use complex words? I can still get the point across. Simple English wins.
- >I Speak 'Warship' Very Fluently (Free, Drop-In)
- Just because I speak Simple English does not mean I am not smart enough to pilot a ship.
- >Bureaucracy Bountiful (900)
- Cutting through red tape is always a plus.
- >Mindrip Immunity (700, Drop-In)
- There are things in my mind that no one should have access to. As long as I don't let someone in, my secrets are safe.
- >The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries (650)
- I have always wanted to read this.
- >Nanny Bags and Cryokits (600)
- And this will be quite useful, both now and later.
- >Dorothies (Free, Drop-In)
- Just click your heels together...
- >Teraport Unit (Free, Drop-In)
- Oh, I like this. I am much less crazy about how it works, but I could learn a lot from studying this.
- >Medical Lab (400)
- Well, I need somewhere to put people back together.
- >Teraport Denial Unit (300, Drop-In)
- I could learn a lot from studying this, too, but in space, 100 kilometers is still close range. Still, what do you expect from a handheld thing?
- >Laz'R'Us Nannies (0, Drop-In)
- This goes into the 'make a discount superhero' box with what I got from Endless Legend.
- I'm only vaguely familiar with this setting, but it's got some very interesting things to it. I think, however, that I'm going to try the low profile thing again - I'm sure that the human government could always use a competent researcher, however, and it means I get a look at some very, very interesting technology.
