(Scene begins in an unnamed forest.)


マサキ
「…ここはどこだ?」
Masaki: ...Where are we?

クロ
「日本ニャのは間違いニャいけど…」
Kuro: I’m pretty sure it’s Japan, but...

マサキ
「いい加減サイバスターのGPS、
まともに動くようになんねえのか?」
Masaki: And Cybuster’s GPS still isn’t working right, huh?

クロ
「ちゃんと動いてたって無視するでしょ、マサキは」
Kuro: Even if it was, you’d probably just ignore it anyways, Masaki.

マサキ
「北だ、南だって言われてもわかんねえだろうが。
右とか左とか、もっとわかりやすくだな…」
Masaki: I can’t keep track of it when it says stuff like “north and south”. If it was just more straightforward and said like “right and left”, I’d have no problem...

シロ
「その右と左もしょっちゅう間違うけどニャ」
Shiro: Except you always get your lefts and rights mixed up too.

マサキ
「うっせえな。
地球は丸いんだ、右と左を間違ったところで
サイバスターのスピードならあっという間に着く!」
Masaki: Shut it. The Earth’s round anyways. So even if I take the wrong turns occasionally, I’ll end up where I need to be in no time with Cybuster’s speed!

クロ
「その開きニャおりはどうかと思う」
Kuro: Somehow I’m nyat very convinced by that excuse.

マサキ
「んな事より、シュウの居場所だ!
あいつがまたロクでもねえ事しでかす前に…」
Masaki: Look, what’s important right now is figuring out where Shu is! Preferably before he stirs up trouble again...

シロ
「マサキ、精霊レーダーに反応!
ニャにか来る!」
Shiro: Masaki, there’s a reaction from the Spirit Radar! Something’s coming!

マサキ
「自衛隊か?
見つかっちゃいねえはずだが…
コックピットに戻るぞ!」
Masaki: The JSDF maybe? But they shouldn’t have been able to find us... Let’s get back in cockpit!

『地上での出会い』
Episode 1
Encounter on Upper Earth


(Scene begins on the map screen of a forest. Show is facing down two Drumlos.)


ショウ
「なんで東京にドレイク軍が!」
Show: What are Drake’s forces doing in Tokyo!?

チャム
「海に出ないの?」
Cham: Should we try to get to the sea?

ショウ
「海岸へは住宅地を通らないといけない。
余計な犠牲は出したくないんだ、
この前の新宿みたいな事は…」
Show: We’d have to go through a residential area to reach the coast. And I don’t want there to be any more unnecessary casualties, like what happened before at Shinjuku...

チャム
「ショウ…」
Cham: Show...

(Masaki is hidden inside the forest.)

マサキ
「なんだありゃ?
虫っていうか、鳥っていうか…
あんなロボット日本にあったか?」
Masaki: The heck is that? I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be a bug or a bird... Did Japan always have robots like this?

クロ
「PT計画にも、
あんニャロボットは存在しニャいはず…」
Kuro: Even in the PT Project, there’s nyat supposed to be any robots like that...

マサキ
「無線、拾えるか?」
Masaki: Can we pick them up on the radio?

クロ
「やってみる!」
Kuro: I’ll give it a shot!

ドレイク兵
「ビルバインを討ったとなれば、
国のひとつももらえそうだ!」
Drake Soldier: We’ll get our own kingdom if we can shoot down Billbine!

ショウ
「やめろ!
地上ではオーラマシンの力の
コントロールが効かないんだ!」
Show: Stop it! An Aura Machine’s power can’t be controlled here on Upper Earth!

チャム
「そうよ!地上で戦っちゃダメ!」
Cham: That’s right! We can’t fight on Upper Earth!

ドレイク兵
「知った事か!手柄さえ立ててしまえば!」
Drake Soldier: We don’t care about that! We just want the glory!

マサキ
「日本語?
それに派手な色の方がまともな事言ってるな
カニの方は功名心丸出しだ」
Masaki: They’re speaking Japanese? Well the one with the flashy colors sounds a lot more reasonable than the two crabs talking about glory.

クロ
「カニって…確かに似てるけど…」
Kuro: Crabs, huh...? Well, I guess they do kind of look like them...

シロ
「そう言われると、うまそうだニャ」
Shiro: Suddenly they look a lot tastier when you put it like that!

マサキ
「よし、あの派手な色の方に助太刀するぞ!」
Masaki: Alright, let’s help out the one with the flashy colors!

(Masaki appears on the map in Cybuster.)

チャム
「ショウ!あれ!」
Cham: Show! Look there!

ショウ
「なんだ!?
あの巨大な[オーラ・バトラー]は…」
Show: What’s that!? It’s like a giant [Aura Machine]...

マサキ
「聞こえるか?
そっちの鳥みたいな派手な色のロボット!」
Masaki: Hey, flashy bird-like robot over there! Can you hear me?

ショウ
「ビルバインの事を言ってるのか?」
Show: Is he talking about the Billbine?

チャム
「鳥みたいって言うならそっちもそうでしょ!」
Cham: You look like more of a bird than we do!

マサキ
「そんなちっこいのに2人乗りか?
俺はマサキ・アンドー!
あのカニ、悪い奴等なんだな?」
Masaki: How’d you fit two people in a machine that small? Anyways, I’m Masaki Ando! Those crabs are the bad guys, right?

ショウ
「カニ…?ドラムロの事か?
あ、ああ。地上で戦いを広げようとしている」
Show: Crabs...? You mean the Drumlos? Y-Yeah. They’re trying to spread their war to Upper Earth.

マサキ
「よっしゃ、わかった!
カニ退治といこうぜ!」
Masaki: Right, gotcha! Then let’s start hunting some crabs!

チャム
「カニって何よ!?」
Cham: Why does he keep calling them crabs!?

ショウ
「チャムは黙ってろ!
俺はショウ・ザマ!手助け、感謝する!」
Show: Not now, Cham! I’m Show Zama! Thanks for your assistance!

マサキ
「おう!いくぜ!」
Masaki: Sure thing! Now let’s get to it!

クロ
「マサキ、あの人たち、
地上でって言ってたよね?」
Kuro: Masaki, weren’t those two saying something like “Upper Earth”?

マサキ
「ん?ああ、そうだったな」
Masaki: Hm? Yeah, that’s right.

クロ
「もしかして、ラ・ギアスの人ニャんじゃ?」
Kuro: Do you think they’re from La Gias?

シロ
「まさか。あんニャ魔装機見た事ニャいぜ」
Shiro: No way. I’ve nyaver seen an Elemental like those before.

マサキ
「細けえ事は後でいい!
とにかくカニ共をなんとかする!」
Masaki: We can figure out the details later! Right now we gotta do something about those crabs!

シロ
「カニじゃニャくて、ドラムロ」
Shiro: They’re nyat crabs, they’re Drumlos.

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

マサキ
「ったく、ちっこいくせに
やたら硬いカニ共だったぜ」
Masaki: Sheesh, they were tough for being such tiny little crabs.

シロ
「だから、カニじゃニャいって」
Shiro: Like I said, they’re nyat crabs...

ショウ
「助かったよ、マサキ、だったか?
聞きたい事があるんだが…」
Show: Thanks for your help. Masaki, was it? There’s something I want to talk to you about...

マサキ
「ああ、俺もだ。
そこの森で少し話そう」
Masaki: Yeah, same here. Let’s land in the forest and have a little chat.


(Scene changes to a forest.)


マサキ
「やっぱり、日本人か…」
Masaki: So you are Japanese, just like I thought...

ショウ
「君もか」
Show: And so are you.

マサキ
「それで、なんだってあんなカニと…」
Masaki: So, what was the deal with those crabs--

チャム
「カニじゃなくてドラムロ!」
Cham: They aren’t CRABS, they’re freaking DRUMLOS!

マサキ
「おわっ!?
な、なんだこりゃ!?虫か!?」
Masaki: Wah!? Wh-What the heck is that!? A bug!?

クロ
「マサキ!気を付けて!」
Kuro: Masaki! Be careful!

ショウ
「猫が喋った!?」
Show: Did that cat just talk!?

チャム
「誰が虫よ!?」
Cham: Who are you callin’ a bug!?

(Cham dropkicks Masaki.)

マサキ
「あいてっ!?」
Masaki: Ow!!

シロ
「虫じゃニャい!人の形してる!
しかも、見事ニャドロップキック!」
Shiro: She’s nyat a bug! She looks like a human! Also, that was a really nyaice dropkick!

(Kuro pounces on Cham.)

クロ
「キャッチ!」
Kuro: Caught her!

チャム
「きゃあっ!?なにすんのよ!!」
Cham: KYAAA!! What do you think you’re doing!?

(Show draws his gun.)

ショウ
「チャムを放せ!」
Show: Let go of Cham!

マサキ
「おいおい、銃なんて物騒なモン持ち出すな」
Masaki: Whoa, whoa, hang on, no need to bring out the big scary gun now!

ショウ
「チャムは[ミニ・フェラリオ]だ!
俺の仲間だ!」
Show: Cham is a [Mi Ferario]! She’s my friend!

マサキ
「わーったから、落ち着け。
クロ、放してやれ」
Masaki: Alright, we got that, settle down. Let her go, Kuro.

クロ
「了解」
Kuro: Roger that.

チャム
「もう、なにするのよ、このケダモノ!」
Cham: Geez, what’s the big idea, you brute!?

ショウ
「チャム!大人しくしてろ!
また軍や警察に連れて行かれたらどうする!」
Show: Cham! Stay out of sight! What if the military or the police try to capture you again!?

チャム
「はーい…」
Cham: Okaaay...

マサキ
「ミ・フェラリオっつったな?
妖精ってヤツか?」
Masaki: You said she was a Mi Ferario, right? Is that something like a fairy?

ショウ
「ああ。地上じゃ、その方がわかりやすいだろうな」
Show: Yeah. I guess that’s easier for someone from Upper Earth to understand anyways.

マサキ
「地上、ね…。
どうにもわかんねえ事が多すぎる。
俺の方から順を追って事情を話そう」
Masaki: Upper Earth, huh... I think there’s still a lot of things we’re both in the dark about. Why don’t we explain it to each other from the beginning?

(Screen fades out, then fades back in.)

マサキ
「…海と陸の狭間にあるバイストン・ウェルねえ。
まるっきりファンタジーじゃねえか」
Masaki: ...[Byston Well], a place between land and sea. Sounds like a genuine fantasy world.

ショウ
「そっちこそ。
地球空洞内の世界ラ・ギアスなんて、
SFにしても古典的すぎる」
Show: Same goes for you. La Gias, a subterranean world deep within the Earth, sounds like a classic setting for Sci-fi.

マサキ
「しかしまあ…ミ・フェラリオだの
オーラ・バトラーだのを実際に見ちまうとなあ」
Masaki: But, well... Now that I’ve seen a Mi Ferario and Aura Machines for myself...

ショウ
「同感だ。
魔装機神や喋る猫のファミリア…
受け入れるしかない」
Show: I know what you mean. Seeing an Elemental Lord and talking cat familiars... There’s nothing we can do but accept they’re both real.

マサキ
「それぞれ違う異世界に召喚された2人が、
こうして出会うってのも奇遇だな」
Masaki: Kinda crazy how two people summoned to different parallel worlds can end up meeting like this.

ショウ
「まったくだ。それでマサキ。
君はシュウってヤツの事を追ってるんだろ?」
Show: You’re telling me. So, Masaki. You’re after this Shu person, right?

マサキ
「ああ」
Masaki: Yeah.

ショウ
「それなら、早くここを離れた方がいい。
さっきのドラムロは多分偵察部隊だ。
間もなくドレイクの部隊がここに…」
Show: Then the sooner you get out of here, the better. Those Drumlos were probably just a scouting party. A Drake squadron will be here before long...

マサキ
「いいや、日本が、いや、この地上が
戦場になるってんなら、黙っちゃいられねえ。
手を貸すぜ、ショウ」
Masaki: Nah. If Japan--er, Upper Earth--is gonna end up being a war zone, I can’t just do nothing about it. Let me help you out, Show.

ショウ
「マサキ…すまない。恩に着る」
Show: Masaki... Sorry. I really owe you for this.

マサキ
「よせって。
とりあえずあんたのお仲間、
ゼラーナとかの居場所を…」
Masaki: Oh, come on. We may not know where your buddies on the Zelena are but--

クロ
「精霊レーダーに反応!
マサキ、さっきのドラムロってヤツ!」
Kuro: The Spirit Radar’s detecting something! Masaki, it’s those Drumlos from before!

マサキ
「また来たか!
いくぞ、ショウ!」
Masaki: Here they come again! Let’s do this, Show!

ショウ
「ああ!」
Show: Right!


(Scene changes back to the map screen of the forest. Masaki and Show appear on the map. Several enemy Drumlos are on the map.)


マサキ
「ちょいとばかり数が多いな…」
Masaki: There’s, uh, kind of a lot, huh...

ショウ
「ああ。だがこの程度ならなんとか…」
Show: Yeah. Dealing with this many might be hard...

マサキ
「いや、いい方法がある。
クロ、サイフラッシュは使えそうか?」
Masaki: Actually, I think I have just the thing for this. Kuro, can we use the Cyflash?

クロ
「うーん…一度だけニャら。
でもプラーニャコンバータが不調だから
出力の調整が…」
Kuro: Umm... Maybe once. The Prana Converter’s been acting up lately though, so...

マサキ
「構わねえ!一掃しちまって、早いとこ
こっから移動しねえとな。いくぜ!」
Masaki: That’s not important! We’re gonna clean these guys up and get out of here pronto. Let’s go!

(Masaki flies towards the Drumlos.)

マサキ
「くらえっ!
サイフラーーーッシュ!!」
Masaki: Take this! CYFLAAAASH!!

(Cybuster builds up energy and uses Cyflash. The Drumlos are unaffected.)

マサキ
「どうだ!これで…」
Masaki: How’s that!? Now you’ll...

マサキ
「ありゃ?」
Masaki: Wait, what?

シロ
「ダメだ、撃墜できてニャい!」
Shiro: It’s no good, it didn’t take down any of them!

マサキ
「どういう事だ?
フルパワーでいったはずだぞ!」
Masaki: What do you mean!? I thought I was using it at full power!

クロ
「あ…そうか、オーラバリアよ!」
Kuro: Ah...! It must be their Aura Barriers!

マサキ
「バリアだと?
そんなもんでサイフラッシュが防げるってのかよ?」
Masaki: Aura Barriers? That’s all they need to stop a Cyflash?

クロ
「オーラもプラーニャも生体エネルギーの一種よ!
干渉されて効きが弱くニャってる!」
Kuro: Aura and Prana are both forms of life energy! It must be causing interference and weakening its effectiveness!

マサキ
「くそっ!
ショウ、わりぃ!
こいつらを一掃するつもりが…」
Masaki: Dammit! Sorry, Show! I was gonna wipe these guys out, but...

マサキ
「うっ…?」
Masaki: Huh...?

ショウ
「どうした、マサキ!?」
Show: What’s wrong, Masaki!?

クロ
「プラーニャの使いすぎよ!
コンバータの出力調整がまだだったから!」
Kuro: You used up too much power since the Pryana Converter’s output hasn’t been adjusted!

マサキ
「くっ…こ、この程度で…」
Masaki: Ugh... Th-There’s still enough to...

チャム
「[オーラ力]の使いすぎ?」
Cham: Did he overuse his [Aura Power]?

マサキ
「オーラじゃねえ、プラーナ…」
Masaki: I don’t use Aura, I use Prana...

(The Black Knight appears.)

ショウ
「あれは…!?」
Show: Is that...!?

チャム
「黒騎士!!」
Cham: The Black Knight!!

黑騎士
「見慣れぬオーラ・バトラーだが、
あの妙な武器は厄介だ。
ここで墜とさせてもらう!」
Black Knight: I am unfamiliar with that Aura Machine, but its peculiar weapons may prove to be a nuisance. Therefore, I will bring it down here!

(The Black Knight moves towards Masaki and attacks.)

マサキ
「くっ!」
Masaki: Ugh!

ショウ
「マサキ!」
Show: Masaki!

(Show flies between the Black Knight and Masaki.)

ショウ
「させるかっ!」
Show: Back off!

黑騎士
「ショウ・ザマ!のこのこと!」
Black Knight: Show Zama! So you would interfere!

(The Black Knight attacks Show.)

ショウ
「ぐっ!!」
Show:  Agh!!

チャム
「ショウ!血が出てる!」
Cham: Show! You’re bleeding!

(Show attacks the Black Knight.)

黑騎士
「むうっ!?
オーラコンバーターに損傷だと!?
おのれ!ショウ・ザマ!!」
Black Knight: Hm!? The Aura Converter’s been damaged!? Curse you, Show Zama!!

黑騎士
「私は退く!後はまかせるぞ!」
Black Knight: I am withdrawing! Men, handle the rest!

(The Black Knight leaves.)

マサキ
「ショウ、大丈夫か!?」
Masaki: Show, are you alright!?

ショウ
「すまない、右腕を負傷した。
離脱させてもらう」
Show: Sorry, but my right arm’s pretty messed up. I’ve got to fall back.

マサキ
「わかった!後はまかせろ!」
Masaki: No problem! Leave this to me!

(Show leaves the map.)

シロ
「大口叩いてたけど、
サイバスターもボロボロだぜ?
プラーニャコンバータに過負荷が…」
Shiro: I know you already talked the talk, but you know Cybuster is in bad shape, right? If the Prana Converter overloads...

マサキ
「なんとかしてやらあ!」
Masaki: I’ll make it work somehow!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

マサキ
「ほれ見ろ。なんとかなって…」
Masaki: Well, would you look at that. I really did make it work somehow...

シロ
「ニャいってば!
プラーニャコンバータが限界だ!」
Shiro: Nyat quite! The Prana Converter’s hit its limit!

(Cybuster partially explodes.)

マサキ
「うおっ!?」
Masaki: Agh!!

シロ
「フルカネルリ式永久機関出力低下!
コンデンサパワーダウン!
このままじゃ墜落する!」
Shiro: Fulcanelli-type perpetual motion engine output is falling! Condenser power down! We’re gonna crash at this rate!

マサキ
「げっ!?」

オーラバトラー

登場作品    聖戦士ダンバイン

オーラカを原動力に動く人型機械兵器の総称。
恐獣と呼ばれる巨大肉食獣の筋繊維や甲殻を使用して建造されており、虫に似た外見をしているものが多い。

Aura Battler

From:       Aura Battler Dunbine

A general term for humanoid mechanical weapons powered by Aura Power.
They are built using the muscle fibers and shells of giant carnivores, many of which have similar appearances to insects.


ミ・フェラリオ

登場作品    聖戦士ダンバイン

水の国ウォ・ランドンに住まう有細の小人。
フェラリオはチ、エ、ミの三級からなり、その中のミ・フェラリオは地上の寸法で30~40 c m程度の 大きさであり、妖精のような印象を与える。

Mi Ferario

From:       Aura Battler Dunbine

Tiny beings who live in Wo Landon, the land of water.
Ferario consists of three classes, Chi, E, and Mi. A Mi Ferario is about 30~40 cm in Upper Earth size, giving them the impression of a fairy.


バイストン・ウェル

海と陸の間にあるという、輪退する魂の休息と修練の地。

Byston Well

From:       Aura Battler Dunbine

Between sea and land, it is a place of rest and training for a soul being reincarnated.


オーラ力

「オーラちから」と読む。
生体エネルギーによる力で、異世界バイストン・ウェルの維持に使われている他、オーラマシンを様動させるためにも使用されている。

Aura Power

Read as “Aura Chikara” in romanji.
Energy from a living being, it is a power that is used to maintain Byston Well as well as control Aura Machines.
