  1. get 1 kind of razor blade, like 25-50 of them, to teach yourself technique
  2.
  3. I'd recommend an Astra, Personna Red or Personna Lab Blue, or Gillette Silber Blue since they tend to be decently priced and perform well
  4.
  5. then, you want to a brush: I would recommend either a cheap synthetic or cheap boar brush- boar brushes are stiff at first but the hairs will break at the tips, becoming much softer, while synthetics are always soft and easy to lather but may lack stiffness
  6.
  7. shop but they probably have Stirling, Saponificio Varesimo, Fine Shaving Soap... Really, Stirling is decent for your money, Fine shaving soap is well, and there are also common but popular brankds Tabac, Cella, and Arko, which all perform solidly
  8.
  9. Tabac smells like tabaco flower suipposedly, Cella smells traditionally of almond, and Arko smells lemony
  10.
  11. l;ots of yt tutorials
  12.
  13. essentially you soak your boar brush if it is boar, synthetics don't really need soaking, and swirl the brush on the soap 30-50x, until you see it begin to lather up. Then you can either swish the brush on your face, in a bowl, or on your palm to build the lather- adding in more and more water along the way
  14.
  15. Roget, and while I'm at it some sources for online shopping if tou want: http://tryablade.com/ <- for trying out razor blades... http://www.maggardrazors.com/ <- decent online shaving soap shop
  16.
  17. don't forger to look at badgerandblade.com's forum and also reddit's wet shaving subreddit for more resources, but those guys there will encourage you to buy a lot, because they're hobbyists
  18.
  19. shaving is complicated
