  301. An American .30 M1 Carbine, it was an attempt to create a self-defense weapon for rear echelon troops during WW2. Non-corrosive ammunition greatly contributed to it's high reliability. The M1A1 is a paratrooper variant with folding skeleton stock. The carbine was quickly retired due to .30 caliber's weaker performance, and was often given to America's poorer allies in Vietnam, Korea, Philippines and others.
