  1. I wrote this guide based on my experience on Windows 10. The steps may differ a little based on the version on windows you're using.
  2.
  3. 1- Download the motionjoy drivers for the DS3: https://mega.nz/#!2U41nILT!MAdtg5mzJErnL35NxEteHl1A9XXXiSgcKSbUkYovH8o (motionjoy driver only, no other crap). Extract it somewhere safe.
  4.
  5. 2- Plug your PS3 controller using a USB cable and let windows install the default drivers.
  6.
  7. 3- Open the device manager (devmgmt.msc).
  8.
  9. 4- Scroll down to "Universal Serial Bus devices, you should see PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller. RIght click on it and select "update driver software".
  10.
  11. 5- Choose "Browse my computer for driver software".
  12.
  13. 6- Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
  14.
  15. 7- If you don't see "MotionJoy Virtual Xinput device for windows", click on the "Have Disk" button and go in the folder where you extracted the zip file from step 1, select the MijXinput.inf file, then click open, then OK. You should now see it in the list. Select it and click next.
  16.
  17. 8- If windows doesn't let you install a driver that is not digittaly signed, follow this guide (http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how-to-disable-driver-signature-verification-on-64-bit-windows-8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/) to disable driver signing enforcement.
  18.
  19. 9- Your DS3 is now installed on windows. Let's map the input with Better PS3 (http://betterds3.ciebiera.net/). Execute Better PS3.exe
  20.
  21. 10- You should see Your DualShock controller in the list on the left side. If not, then your DS3 is not installed correctly. Unplug and replug the USB cable, this might make it appear. If not, go back to step 2.
  22.
  23. 11- Press the "New" button on the right and choose "Keyboard/Mouse".
  24.
  25. 12- Give your profile a name. Map all the buttons you need in this screen. You can follow shiamatsu exemple: http://puu.sh/bzyCv/9f06dd21d1.png
  26.
  27. The important parts here are the joysticks. You need to map the "mouse move left" on the left joystick -X axe, "mouse move right on the +X axe, "mouse move down" on the right joystick +X axe and "mouse move up" on the -X axe. Assign a button number on every other button.
  28.
  29. Tips (optional): If you're lazy like me and don't want to have a keyboard to input your pin for e-amusement, map the "backspace" button on the select button and each different number of your pin to a button. Example: Let's say my pin is 1222. I would map the backspace function on the select button, the number 1 on the d-pad down and the number 2 on the d-pad right. Once in-game, I only have to press "select, down, right, right, right".
  30.
  31. Once you have assigned every button a fonction, press "save profile" in the bottom right corner.
  32.
  33. 13- In Selected Profile, select the profile you just saved and press Apply. Now, the last step is to configure the controller in bemanitools.
  34.
  35. 14- Launch config.bat. In the buttons tab, assign each action to a button of your choice, then go in the Analog tab.
  36.
  37. 15- for VOL-L, you should have at least 2 devices called "HID-compliant mouse". One is your mouse, then other is the virtual mouse assigned to both joystick. Select HID-compliant mouse and under control, select "x". Now test it by moving the left joystick left and right, the "wheel" should spin. Do the same thing for VOL-R but in control, select Y instead, then test it with the right joystick.
  38.
  39. That's it! enjoy SDVX with your DS3 (while you wait for your Turbocharger or Dao controller ;) ).
