  1. >Marshmallow, delicious marshmallow.
  2. >You grip the giant marshmallow you’re currently eating, digging in your fingers as you take another bit. It’s so soft and fluffy that Rarity’s own marshmallow flank can’t compare.
  3. >”Stop eating your pillow you simpleton and go answer the door.”
  4. >Suddenly an object as hard as a rock falls right into your gut, you’re startled awake with Moonie sitting in your lap with a grin of triumph.
  5. “Moonie, I’m going to--”
  6. >There is a knock at the door.
  7. >”They’ve been knocking for 5 minutes now.”
  8. >With a groan you climb out of bed and answer the door, the light assaults your eyes, when your sight returns you see Derpy, the mail maire.
  9. >She’s looking up at you with those big, golden eyes. Well one of them is, the other is off in the sky and while she sports a big grin. Too cute.
  10. >”Hey Anon, I brought you a letter.” She gives her wings a flutter before handing you a letter marked with Luna’s official stamp.
  11. “Thanks.”
  12.
  13. Dear Anonymous,
  14.
  15. We require your urgent assistance at Canterlot Castle and have purchased a ticket on your behalf that will depart at 8:00 am.
  16. We thank you and apologise for the inconvenience.
  17.
  18. Sincerely,
  19. Princess Luna.
  20.
  21. >You let out a low sigh.
  22. “I’m too tired for this, Derpy do you know the time?”
  23. >Both her eyes go upwards and for a moment they appear normal before one drops it’s gaze to the floor, you do your best not to let out a laugh.
  24. >”About 7, why?”
  25. >Thanking Derpy again, you watch as she flies off and lands in a nearby tree.
  26. >”I’m okay.” she calls out.
  27. >You shake your head and return inside.
  28. “Moonie, pack your things, we’re need up at Canterlot.”
  29. >”I will do no such thing, that is your job, Servant!”
  30. >You give her a glare.
  31. >”Please?” she asks through a sheepish grin.
  32. >If she forgets something then you’ll never hear the end of it so you reluctantly agree.
  33. >While you pack for the next hour, Moonie decides to spend the time by telling you about how your packing is wrong and how it should be.
  34.
  35. >Later on the train you’re sitting down and about to doze off before you notice Moonie looking around in a panic. She then turns to you with tears beginning to well up in her eyes.
  36. >”M-Mr Bear-ing-ington *sniff* is missing.”
  37. “I told you to get him before we left.”
  38. >Her eyes well up even more. Brace yourselves, the dam is going to burst.
  39. >You roll your eyes and reach into your coat, pulling out Mr Bearington.
  40. “What would you do without me?”
  41. >She lights up and snatches the bear away, “You have pleased your Queen, Anonymous.”
  42. >Adjusting to catch up on lost sleep, you peer out the corner of your eye to see Moonie playing happily with Mr Bearington.
  43. >With a smile across your face, you drift off to sleep.
  44. >”Come Mr Bearington, I have a plan to take over this train.”
  45. >She better be kidding.
  46.
  47. >You’re standing in the throne room with Moonie waiting for Luna.
  48. >”Why are we even here?”
  49. “Because someone asked for my help.”
  50. >”And we are here to watch them suffer?” her smile lights up brighter than the sun but you respond with a deep sigh.
  51. ”No, to help.”
  52. >Her smile deflates so she sits and quietly plays with Mr Bearington.
  53. “Oh and, best behaviour, please?”
  54. >She pauses before answering, “I promise nothing, Mr Bearington shall though.”
  55. “Oh, good. He’s been out of control lately.”
  56. >She gives a giggle before turning around and letting out a laugh that echoes through every hall of Canterlot Castle.
  57. >You turn to see what she is laughing at and you can’t hold in a laugh either when you see Princess Luna covered in cake, cream and chocolate.
  58. >”Anonymous, we are pleased you have come.”
  59. >”What happened to you, cake monster on the loose?”
  60. >”Something akin to that.”
  61. >You stop laughing when you realise just how exhausted she is.
  62. “Where is Celestia?”
  63. >”It’d be best if we show you.”
  64. >Moonie and you are taken to the dining hall where you see a Filly Princess Celestia eating a whole cake.
  65. >”ANON! You came. Lulu said you’d be coming to visit.”
  66. “Yeah, uhh, what happened here?”
  67. >Celestia goes to speak before Luna interrupts, ”we got into a disagreement with our sister and during our anger we cast a spell, we are unsure how to reverse the spell.”
  68. “I’m guessing you didn’t bring me here to guess how to reserve it.”
  69. >”No we brought you here to look after Celly in our stead. We must take our sister’s place until she is returned to normal, Twilight is working on how to fix this situation.”
  70. “Why me?” you say with the longest sigh you’ve ever given.
  71. >”Because you have proven you are adept at-”
  72. “That was rhetorical.”
  73. >You turn to Celestia who is now demanding another cake from the cook, where the hell did the first one go?
  74. “How many of those has she had?”
  75. >”We have lost count a long time ago, she refuses to stop.”
  76. “I’ll take care of this, you go do whatever it is that you need to do.”
  77. >”We thank you and apologise again for the trouble.” She gives a bow before leaving you and Moonie alone with the cake monster.
  78. >”You’re really going to look after HER?! What about me?”
  79. “Yeah I am and you two can have some ‘bonding’ time.” Your grin drips with malice.
  80. >Her eyes widen in fear, she has no idea what is coming but she knows to fear what is to come. Smart girl.
  81. “Celestia, no more cake.”
  82. >”B-but I am hungry,” food splutters out with every word, “and I am a Princess. You hold no authority over me.” She gives a triumphant grin before preparing to take another slice.
  83. “If you take one bite of that, you’ll get no dessert later.”
  84. >She freezes, her mouth still hanging open while she weighs the situation.
  85. >”Very well” She places the cake down and scurries over to you, “Let’s play then.”
  86. >”NO! Anon is my servant, he will play with me.”
  87. >”I’m his Princess, he will do as I say.”
  88. >”I’m his QUEEN! He will do as I say.”
  89. >Both give each other a competitive glare causing imaginary sparks to fly.
  90. “I’m going to do what I say and so will you two. And I think you both can play together.”
  91.
  92. >”More tea Nightmare?” Celestia says in a mocking, upper-class tone.
  93. >Moonie falls silent, you look up from your book at her.
  94. >She gives you a false smile before turning to Celestia, “That would be... Lovely.” she says with much grimace on that final word.
  95. >Happy, you return to your book.
  96. >You find yourself immersed in the book, it’s a good read but not enough to allow you to ignore the two filly’s arguing.
  97. >You roll your eyes and look up from your book.
  98. >The two both have Mr Bearington in their magic grip.
  99. >”Let him go, he’s mine.”
  100. >”I want a turn with him.”
  101. “Girls, enough!”
  102. >The two ignore you and continue to pull on Mr Bearington, causing him to tear in half.
  103. >Celestia looks on in shock as Moonie begins to cry but before long she tries to launch herself at Celestia.
  104. >You catch her and place in the corner before turning to the other trouble maker.
  105. “That corner now.’
  106. >”But-”
  107. >You give a scowl and point at the corner, she reluctantly walks off into the corner.
  108. >With the two fillies in their own corner you pick the pieces of what once was Mr Bearington.
  109. “I’m stepping out, when I get back and you’ve moved even an inch, you’ll both be in big trouble.”
  110. >They both agree, as you step out the room you can still hear Moonie sobbing.
  111. >”Ahh, Anonymous, how fare’s our sister?”
  112. >You turn to see Luna with a white stallion with a blue pushed back mane and sporting a suit.
  113. ”Not well, they’re in timeout at the moment.”
  114. >”That is most unfortunate. Anonymous, allow us to introduce you to Fancypants, he’s a talented cloths designer here in Canterlot.”
  115. >You give a slight nod that he returns.
  116. “Nice to meet you.”
  117. >”And you.” He notices the halves of Mr Bearington in your hand. “I say, is that your stuffed bear?”
  118. “No, it’s a little filly’s. It got broken when two of them were arguing.”
  119. >”Well, if you’d like, I could fix it.”
  120. “It’s alright, I should be able to.”
  121. >”Are you sure, it’s of no trouble to me and I’d like to get to know the only human in this land.”
  122. “Well, can you do me another favour then?”
  123. >You spend the next hour telling Fancypants about your arrival, your home and what it’s been like adjusting to this new place while he fixes Mr Bearington and does a commision for you.
  124. >”Here you go Anonymous old chap.” He magics over two bears. One is Mr Bearington who is all stitched back together and the other is a bear with a knight helmet stitched onto it, for Celestia.
  125. >Hopefully she’ll like it.
  126. >”Now, I do hope you’ll be able to attend my social gathering next week.”
  127. >You nervously rub the back of your head, fancy parties aren’t really your thing but he did do this for free so you feel bad declining.
  128. “I’ll see what I can do but I’ve got a lot on my plate-.”
  129. >”Of course, I understand, no pressure. I’ll let you be off now. Farewell Anonymous.”
  130. “Later Fancy.”
  131. >You give a wave and head back to the room you left the two fillies in.
  132. >Before entering you hide the bears behind your back, as you open the doors you notice both in the corner you left them in, unmoved. Good.
  133. “Girls, come here.”
  134. >With the two standing in front of you, you hand over Mr Bearington to Moonie.
  135. >She lights up and gives him a tight hug before then giving your leg a tighter one. “Thank you so much Anon, I was so worried about him.”
  136. >You give her a smile, she then walks away to play with him. You then look over to Celestia who is now staring at the wall with a look of jealousy.
  137. “Now you,” she flinches as you come down to her level, “Do you have anything to say?”
  138. >She hangs her head, “Yes, I am sorry. To both of you, I was irresponsible and rude. It won’t happen again.”
  139. “And what did you learn today?”
  140. >”I learnt it’s important to share and be kind to others.”
  141. “Not much of a friendship report but it’ll do,” she gives you a puzzled look. “Here.”
  142. >You hand her the other bear and she sits there, staring at it.
  143. >”F-for... Me?”
  144. “Yeah, any names?”
  145. >”Um, Sir Helios, the Sun’s personal knight.”
  146. >”Mr Bearington is a better knight him.” She blows a raspberry to Celestia.
  147. >”I demand a competition between Sir Helios and Mr Bearington.”
  148. >”We accept, prepare to lose.”
  149. >You roll your eyes and let out a sigh before returning to you book.
  150. >These two just won’t quit it.
